Pros:

Very pleasant feel on the skin. Helped cure a bout of dermatitis brought on by mineral oil cleanser. Great for cleaning face and taking off make up as well as for facial massages. Makes skin radiant and soft.

Cons:

It isn't a panacea. (duh!)

Has improved overall condition. Skin looks much better, and the zits I've developed since starting this regime (jojoba as cleanser, not as an alternative moisturizer), stayed small (instead of getting the usual cysts) and most often just cleared away without inflammation.

Pros:

inexpensive, a little goes a long way, no harsh odor, doesn't feel oily or greasy

Cons:

a little difficult to get a controlled drop out of this type of bottle, takes a bit of rubbing/time to get it absorbed well

You don't need much of this oil to make your hands feel better and you need even less to moisturize any dry spots on your face. I use this as a part of my all-natural face care system. I alternate between the oil cleansing method (caster oil + apricot kernal oil) and using raw, organic honey as a cleanser. I also use witch hazel for a toner. While having acne prone, combo skin, I find that I've always had "dry" spots on the sides of my chin; with this natural method I no longer get flaking, but it still feels a little dry. This is where I use the jojoba oil. Just a tiny dot smooths it out. You can also use the jojoba as your carrier oil for OCM or put it in your regular lotion/conditioner. I don't know that this alone will cure acne, but it is a great part of a natural skin care regime.

Pros:

wonderful skin soother.

Cons:

none

I just went to Whole Foods Market and bought a small bottle of Desert Essence jojoba for $6.00. My face was burning and red from the acne treatment I am using and the instant I put the jojoba on my face, it relieved the burning sensation. The redness even subsided almost instantly. I love this stuff. I wish I would of known about this natural moisterizer a long time ago. I think it is great for use in the harsh winter weather as well to help with dry skin. I too have oily skin but jojoba does not make it oily at all! If anything, it helps it.

Pros:

Jojoba oil COMPLETELY stopped the flaking and itchiness that I was dealing with when I started the regimen, without causing breakouts or making my skin look too oily.

Cons:

None

Use 5 or 6 drops mixed in with your moisturizer with the regimen. This stuff is AMAZING!

Pros:

Great for gentle cleansing, moisturizing, clearing up existing blemishes, and evening out skin tone.

Cons:

Be careful of using too much (can feel a bit greasy) or getting in your eyes (gives you blurry eyes).

Over the past 2.5 weeks, I've been getting my face wet, then using 3-7 drops of this mixed with water to WASH my face. I rinse a few times with water and dab dry with a towel. It removes makeup, etc. and doesn't leave my skin feeling irritated or tight. I no longer use any soaps or harsh cleansers/products on my skin. I have noticed a dramatic improvement in the number and severity of my blemishes as well as the overall clarity of my skin -- it looks much less red and irritated and even-toned. You can also rub it into your hands, lips, etc. for extra moisturizing. I LOVE THIS STUFF.:)

Pros:

excellent moisturizing, doesn't weigh down your skin, makes my skin look dewy and smooth

Cons:

none

This stuff is great. Ony 1-2 drops is really needed for a good effect. I add it to my suncreen moisturizer during the day, and at night i add it after AHA lotion. Now my skin is no longer red and irritated from AHA and BP, in fact I'm glowing ! If you use the jojoba oil alone, a good idea would be to add it while your face is still slightly damp, that way it helps lock in moisture, and you can use even less drops than usual. My face broke out once after I started, but the pimples were smaller and went away much quicker, and even better, using the jojoba prevented the BP from drying my face out!
