Pros:

makes skin look and feel plump
moisturizing
feels good

Cons:

made me break out like crazy

My acne used to be pretty bad, moderate to moderately severe, which left tons of PIH and some light scarring. I've finally been able to clear up some of my acne with a holistic skin care regimen and decided to turn to the remnants of old acne. So, having heard excellent things about Jojoba, I decided to use it as a moisturizer. I got organic jojoba oil, but it may not have been first-pressed or unrefined (I figured organic = unrefined, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't, and it needs to be unrefined). For the first few days, I thought I'd hit the jackpot. But I got a terrible breakout by the end of the week--in places I NEVER got pimples. If classes weren't going to start so soon, I'd have definitely stuck with it to see if it was just the IB. I'm pretty sure it was IB because of the unusual places I broke out, and I'm sure this stuff is really a great thing if you've got time to let your skin purge, but if you've only got a few weeks, this might not be what you want to try. If my skin still looks iffy by next summer, I'll give it another shot. Now, I need to clear up my poor face again.

Pros:

- clears up flakes
- moisturizes

Cons:

- caused me break out
- causes shine

does a great job for moisturizing and flake control but bottom line is it broke me out after using for a few weeks. i gave it 2 stars for moisturizing and flake control however the fact that it causes some skin types to break out and in my case SEVER break out with cysts it loses a good rating. for some this might be a great product however its put me back in my regime by atleast 3 weeks due to the length of time itll require for my skin to repair itself.

Pros:

Helps Clear Congested Areas
Great Moisturizer
Plumps fine lines
Normalizes oil production

Cons:

Too heavy for daytime use

I have been using jojoba oil for a few months and love it! It does cause your pores to purge so there is an increase in pimples at first but once that stops you are left with super soft, smooth skin. Something I did to help speed up the purging process was to mix jojoba oil with a 1/2 teaspoon or so of baking soda, which I used as a scrub every other day. The baking soda acts as a mild exfoliant and helps slough off the old skin and clear out the debris. My favorite benefit of jojoba oil is how much it has normalized the oil production in my face. I used to go through a pack of blotting papers a week and now I don't use any! No other moisturizer, matifying gel, etc. has ever worked this good.

How long did the initial purge last?

Pros:

-makes my skin to glow
-great for both hair and skin
-it's all natural
-one bottle will last forever...!

Cons:

-it feels a bit greasy on face even though it's not bad for it

I wish that i would have come across jojoba oil years ago. It's amazing for hair (even extension hair hehe) and for face because it doesn't cause any irritation (atleast for me) and you only need few drops a day. It's not only good for acne prone persons but it's also great for hands because especially here in finland the temperature tends to get so low in the winter that my hands are like dry bread and jojoba wakes them up from the nightmare. I also use it around my eyes on damp skin because its soooo moisturizing and soothing! As people say, it's also a perfect lip balm. If it's not a miracle then it's not.

Pros:

It's cheap and lasts for a long time (you only need like 4 drops of it) It absorbs into the skin pretty quickly. Amazing freaking moisturizer.I heard that it closely matches the body's natural oil so it helps regulates oil production

Cons:

It seems to be making my skin look a little oiler during the day. My eye make up doesn't stay on as well. Too much of it may be making me break out MORE (I think I need to ease up on how much I use)

I've heard only good things about this product, so I finally decided to try it. I add it to my spf moisturizer every day and to my night moisturizer at night. It immediately made my skin freakishly soft. I have definitely noticed that my pimples are dramatically smaller. Lately I've been getting a few cystic acne pimples that won't come to a whitehead. But ever since I've been using the jojoba oil I've been getting very tiny pimples that go away in literally a day. I really love jojoba oil, AND it's natural...there's no alcohol in it which will actually dry your skin even more (ironic that alcohol is put it moisturizers)

Pros:

None - maybe moisturizing, but not worth the side effects...

Cons:

Broke me out horribly - slowly, but surely more and more

Okay, so I was enticed by all the reviews and research I did on this stuff to somehow miraculously hydrate as well as combat blemishes. Woeeee...I gave it a good try - about a month and a half. Long enough, right to see if this stuff works? I was purging horribly w/plugs that never seemed to stop and developed some extra stuff, too, like continual whiteheads and other full-blown pimps - everywhere. Yuck. I finally couldn't take it anymore when I realized it just wasn't working, and now I'm going back to what worked for me a year ago to achieve perfect skin: -Thoroughly Clean Face Wash w/Extra-Gentle BufPuf -Baking Soda Paste w/h2o (in shower 2-3xwk, as needed) -Proactiv Toner, Lotion Hope this helps some of you to decide whether to try it or not - try new things slowly, do a test patch first!

Pros:

concentrated, cheap, easy to find.

Cons:

none so far

I bought the 90% jojoba and 10% vit E oil and I have added quite a bit of manuka oil to this mixture, not sure how much but as I use it up I add more manuka to increase the concentration. I apply with a cottom ball. I wash with dr bonners soap, then apply this 2x a day. I am using other remedies sporadically to exfoliate and treat, like calamine lotion to spot treat, drinking ACV every day, steaming my face and apply sulfur mask a few times a week, exfoliating with salycilic acid or a salt scrub a few times a week also. It's not perfect yet, but it's getting better and I'm not irritating my skin with the harsh BP any longer so I'm happier about that. I'm 35 years old so most OTC products end up just drying out my face without really treating the acne.

didn't work for me.
This doesn't work on my face as a moisturizer. I read about people using it to massage into their pores and then rinsing..it was supposed to loosen clogged pores or somehing I guess..didn't work for me...left my skin looking quite strange and broke me out. Its good as a scalp treatment tho.
