Jojoba Oil

This is a multi purpose miracle oil! I used it for face, body, hair, scalp and cuticles. Effective on every part mentioned. Face - I have acne on my forehead and very oil skin. After reading the reviews of the "purging stage", I would not dare to use too much of the oil on my skin. So I pat two drop on my face on the first day - it gets absorbs and my face is not greasy. On the second day, I pat 3 drops and it gets absorbs! It may seem a little oily after application, but it gets absorbed quickly and somehow, my face is not as oily after some time, as compared to when I use no moisturiser or no jojoba oil. I guess the tip from me is not to use too much and jus PAT, and not to rub in the oil. Now, I pat about 3 drops on top of my day moisturiser and about 5 drops for the night. I am using Dan's regimen to save my face from acne, and I think jojoba oil by itself would not cure acne. It just helps the flaking and the regulation of oil production. Hair - After applying a thin layer to my hair, it felt like my hair when I was a child. No damaged feeling from all the colouring, perming, straightening. Try it! Its really good! Much better than olive oil because I feel jojoba oil gets abosrbed and hair feels soft and olive oil just stays on the hair and feels oily. Cuticles - I have very dry cuticles and also a very bad habit of peeling my dried cuticles. After rubbing the oil onto my cuticles, all the dry cuticles disappear! Its v convenient too, I will rub the oil onto my cuticles before applying it to my hair. No wastage. :D My! Why haven I discovered this oil in the past! Try it! If you are worried, start with a little on the face. Even if it does not work for the face, it will for the hair and cuticles. It will definitely be a staple on my skincare regime. Think of all the $ saved on hair serum and skin moisturisers and cuticle cream. Best part is, it works! :)

While trying to get rid of my acne, my skin became very dry and flaky. No moisturizers really worked, they made it a little better but burned and skin remained flaky. Now i add about 4-5 drops of jojoba oil to my moisturizer and my flakes were gone immediately. Also I put some on my finger and then smear it on my lips and brush my lips with a tooth brush to ex foliate. After i re apply to my lips and it makes them extremely smooth by the next morning. i'd recommend doing this at night because it gives your skin a oily complex for a little while.

I used jojoba oil last year by mixing it with my facial lotion and it gave me wonderful results but I always look overly greasy. I watched a video online from a nutritionist who also used jojoba oil but applied it differently. She made her face slightly damp then poured about 6+ drops into the palms of her hands and rubbed them together, then applied the oil to her damp face. I tried this and saw amazing results immediately! When doing this my skin purged all of the nasty junk for 2 weeks. It was really quite embarrassing since my job involves working with the public and I could just feel them staring at my skin as if I don't wash my face... I am on my 3rd week now and have noticed my skin tone is more even and my scabs fell off in a couple days from the pimples I picked at. Now I feel confident going to work and actually feel clean! My regime is as follows: 1. Once a week (Sunday) I put Queen Helenes Mint Julepe masque on for 15min, then wash off with a damp wash cloth. 2. Once a week (Wednesday) I give my face a nice scrub with St. Ive's Apricot Scrub. 3. Every morning and evening before bed I wash my face with Cetaphil cleanser and leave my face slightly damp from warm water. I then apply the jojoba oil to my face. Within 10min you will see your skin just glowing and looking more even, its great! I think the water helps the oil absorb into the skin easier, that is my guess. I am hoping I don't jinx it but so far I am having excellent results and am finally acne free with only some red marks left! I hope this continues because I am tired of trying new things! This stuff is fantastic. I started the regimen using loads of Benzoyl Peroxide because I thought my skin could handle it - when the flaking and dryness got unbearable I bought a bottle of Jojoba oil and it works miracles. I use it generously before I go to bed, because using too much in the morning makes your skin really shiny. Also I think it may be helping to fade my red marks, which may be due to its high levels of Vitamin E. However I can't be certain about that, because i've also started taking zinc supplements. All in all a great product, highly recommended!

I've used this for 3 weeks and am pleasantly surprised. The idea of putting oil on my oily face seemed like a big gamble, but so far so good. I am also using the acne.org moisturizer but it just wasn't getting rid of the flakes. It's very annoying to have oily skin and flakes' how is that even possible?! I have been easing into it with the jojoba, using it very conservatively so far. About once a week a leave a few drops on overnight in lieu of other moisturizers. A couple times a week I mix 2 drops in with my regular moisturizer. I was very surprised to find that it gives my skin a nice glow but doesn't make it an oil slick by the afternoon. Besides this, I also use it on most mornings to soften up the flakes on my skin...I rub it all over my face, use a washcloth to remove flakes, then shower to remove excess oil. Afterwards I apply regular moisturizer and then makeup. I use mineral makeup and it causes no problems with the jojoba oil as long as it has all soaked in before I apply makeup. The only reason I'm giving it just 4 stars instead of 5 is that so far I have not noticed jojoba magically clearing up all my acne. However, it has not made me break out and I do think it is making my face less oily, so I'm happy with it. I'm using Dessert Essence by the way...got it at a health food store.

I put 2-3 drops of jojoba oil in my lotion and use it at night. The next morning my skin feels soft and moisturized. It is also great for cuticle care. I use what's left on my cuticles and hands, and they are plump and perfect! It did not break me out, and it reduced oil production in the daytime. All around great :) Be sure to only use 100% pure organic jojoba oil!

I just wanted to use a natural and non-irritating moisturizer so I bought jojoba oil. But while I was using it for three months there wasn't a day without a pimple! Eventually I gave up and returned to my chemical based cosmetics again. My skin didn't like jojoba oil at all and I must admit it doesn't like natural products either.

What can I say - Jojoba is the stuff! I used jojoba for about a year and my skin was completely acne free. About 4 weeks ago I stopped using jojoba. I stopped because I finally realized my skin was chronically dehydrated. I tried a bunch of moisturizers but every day bumps appeared on my skin. My skin kept getting worse and I ended up with a few very big bumps and about 50 small ones. I tried many things - retinoids, bp, azelaic - nothing helped. I'm pulling my hair out wondering what I did to have my skin go bad so quickly? And then I remembered - I stopped using jojoba! Back on it now and in a very short time my skin is looking so much better! Make no mistake - jojoba is NOT a moisturizer. If it's the only thing you use on your skin, your skin will dehydrate after a few days. A moisturizer is something that puts water into the skin (see humectant on wikipedia). Of course jojoba - which is a wax - contains no water and will not allow water to get to your skin. I recommend you moisturize your skin every day or two for a few hours with something else. I'm still looking for something to do that effectively. As for whether it stops oil coming out of your skin - I doubt it. In any case how can you tell the difference between jojoba and your skin's natural oil? My skin gets more oily no matter what product is on it. Dan's jojoba is very good a seriously cheap. 8oz for $15 and the bottle will last 6+ months!

I bought this after reading a ton of reviews on it and bought it not even a week ago, and have seen outstanding results so far. My red marks are fairly new and they have been reduced a lot... I'd say 50 percent of the big red ones have been reduced. I have a lot of small brown ones still but oh well. It hasn't broken me out. I started organic ACV a week before the jojoba and never saw results like this. I am drinking the ACV and was putting it on my face too but decided to try the jojoba and just continue drinking ACV. I've been taking pictures of my face every day and saw very little results from putting ACV on my face but the jojoba is AMAZING!! I was diagnosed with PCOS in November and my face went from almost completely clear (retin-a) to horribly severe on my jaw line. The retin-a stopped working since it was hormones that flared up my acne. I'd say to anybody with acne, and red marks to try it. The woman at the health store recommended it for acne and red marks and I'm so happy I bought it! You have nothing to lose, if it doesn't work for your face, put it in your conditioner or body lotion!

I guess I am one of the few people that this product does not work for. I've tried it seperate different times and get the same result, massive white heads all over my face, i tried to wait it out a week to see if this was the "purging" stage but it would only get worse. I gave it a shot but just not for my skin I guess :( on to the next natural moisturizer
