What a great discovery! This works way better than many of the expensive masks and treatments I've used over the years!!

it works but be careful
I was using raw honey a lot all over my face for long periods of time and sometimes even overnight. While it does dramatically decrease the size and redness of any type of acne, it may clog your pores or cause small bumps. My face was covered in tiny bumps only noticeable in certain angles and lighting. They went away with BHA but im positive it was because of the honey. I still use tiny dabs of it on big pimples though. It's also really sticky and messy. I would advise to only use this sparingly (spot treat only and all over face mask for 20 mins) As a mask it is very beneficial, it shrank my pores dramatically, reduced oiliness and helped clear red marks. But it wasn't worth the closed comedones.

Honey is never meant to be used as an overnight mask. I've tried it. :( But it works just as effective as a temporary mask like you said with no breakouts.

GREAT but ....
I've personally used raw honey as a cleanser/mask for my sensitive and acne prone skin sooo many times. (Make sure that if you try this method, get raw or pure honey) and it helped clear up my forehead acne and clogged pores pretty well, but over time ive noticed i developed an acne/rash type thing on the sides of my cheeks and odd areas on my face where i typically never break out. Although this is a great way to heal acne naturally, i do think you should watch out if you have sensitive skin like me.

Pros:

Reduces Oil
Moisturizes
Hydrating
Decreases Redness

Cons:

Sticky

Honey is an INCREDIBLE product for all skin types! It works for people with oily skin to dry, flaky, and sensitive skin! Honey is a known humectant (moisturizes the skin) but also has antibacterial properties which kill acne bacteria. It really makes your skin glow - and decreases redness. I apply honey to a cleansed face 3 times a week, for 20 minutes each time. I then rinse off with warm water. You can also wash your face with honey - apply honey, leave on for 3-5 minutes, then rinse off. Final Note: Make sure you get RAW ORGANIC honey! The honey in the bear doesn't have all the good stuff! Honey is incredible!

I heard about this mask on here along with its benefits so I went out and bought organic honey and organic lemon juice. I needed the lemon juice for my acne and the honey to restore the over all appearance of my skin. The first time I used the mask, I added a bit of cinnamon and it made the mask very streaky (like when I put it on, it just slid off my face) so I would suggest not using the cinnamon. Overall, I LOVE this mask! I went from about 6 pimples on my face to 2 after two uses! All of the acne scars on my face have reduced in redness and are on their way to recovery. Not to mention, my skin looks glowing as if I already have makeup on after the first time I used it! I am so impressed with this mask and my skin thanks me for helping it out so much :D The price I have on here includes the honey and the lemon juice. The honey was $4.00 and the Lemon juice was $5.00. Please remember to get ORGANIC honey and lemon juice because the others wont get you the nutrients that you need for your face. They are filled with preservatives which take away the natural ingredients that make this mask purposeful for us :) Also, the mask will never dry on your skin (unless you leave it on for hours and hours). I usually take mine off after about 15-20 minutes. Try this mask!! Its amazing!

I have been using honey for a couple weeks, yet it did nothing for my acne. It did, however, brighten my skin and made my skin look smooth.

Pros:

Easy to make
works on pimples, redness and acne scars
cheap
leaves skin glowing and soft

Cons:

NONE

I've been using sugar and honey every day. The sugar exfoliates my skin so the blackheads I had on my nose are completely gone and it leaves my skin so soft because of the honey. It also helps with scars from previous pimples and it just takes about 2 weeks for the scars to go away when you have been using it every day. I don't know how but it also helps with pimples and it leaves your skin glowing :)

I really like :)
so honey is yummy, sweet, longlasting and all things nice. well honey just got nicer, because you can apply it to your face :). I use honey as a base in all my homemade scrubs, facial masks etc. I really love the smell of honey too. i love to mix honey with lemon juice and sugar to create an exfoliator/scrub (sorry about my spelling), also i mix honey, lemon juice and milk powder to create a mask. would recommend this inngredient to everybody! thankyou and goodluck.

Pros:

- Reduces size of spots
- Evens out skin tone
- Smooth on the skin
- Brightens the skin
- Got rid of all my acne after applying it twice a day and leaving it on for three hours per session for four days.

Cons:

- the 'vapours' from the ACV can sting the eyes a bit.
- Too much ACV in the mix can burn the skin.

I started off using a honey mask, and when it did not bring great results, I decided to further research ways to enhance the mask. Using information gathered from different sources of the internet, I made a mix of: - 1TSP Cinnamon - 1TSP Nutmeg - 2TSP Honey I would then mix this together and apply this to my face using the back of a spoon. I left it on for between 1-3 hours. I typically noticed results right after I took the mask off, and after only four days the acne on my face had calmed down significantly and is 99% gone. I think it will only take one more session to completely remove the acne on my skin. Note- In the last day of this 'regimen' I decided to add a small amount (maybe a teaspoon) of Apple Cider Vinegar to try and speed up the process. While it burned ever so slightly while applied to my face, it was worth it as it helped significantly.
