RUINED my skin! !
I had very nice skin but it went to hell after using just 2 DROPS of nutiva hemp oil am and pm for only a week! After that I literally had acne everywhere but my forehead! I had never heard of this oil breaking anyone out so I was obviously shocked! I beg you to use caution if trying things even if they are supposed to be noncomodegenic

Wanted to like it :(
So sad, reAlly wanted to like it. It made my skin soft but I was getting cystic acne in places I never get, like my forehead. I used first only during the day, a few drops and pat in and that went on for about a month and a half. Twice a day the second month but it just didnt help. Once I stopped, I only got the acne on my chin where it normally is

Try [link removed] it's helped my acne alot. I've tried many products before. And ginger is great too for cystic acne. I use lavendar soap to wash my face. Maybe if you tried cbd oil orally it'll help. I noticed since I've taken it my face looks good.

Hemp seed oil
I bought hemp seed oil for my 15 year old daughter as she was suffering from moderate acne. Decided to try the natural approach for her skin. This product caused her skin to break out drastically. Her forehead which previously had no acne was soon covered it acne... I think this product may work for post acne skin. I could see the benefit in controlling oil but i wouldn't recommend if your acne is active....

Caused Cystic Acne

A few years ago I had used oil in my skin care (grapeseed and olive) with good results, but stopped after a while. After researching oils more thoroughly recently, I decided to try hemp seed. I wasn't concerned about breakouts because I had done well with grapeseed and olive oil even though they have a higher comedogenic rating than hemp. I used a well rated hemp seed oil (nutiva), and only applied 2 drops of it after my skin care routine one night. The next day I woke up with two small cysts on my jawline. I do occaisionally get a cyst on my chin, but they've never been on the rest of my jaw. I don't believe in "purging," especially when it comes to cysts. I immediately stopped using the hemp seed oil, but have developed 3 other cysts along my jawline. Luckily they are all fairly small and only one is tender, so I'm hoping they'll go down soon.

I am incredibly happy for the people who have found great results with hemp seed oil! But if you're looking to try this oil then please proceed carefully. All the lists I saw gave it a 0 comedogenic rating, but there are many stories of people (like myself) developing cystic acne because of it. Please first do a spot test for a couple weeks. If you have cystic acne then perhaps try the spot test in that area to make sure it doesn't aggravate your symptoms!

If you have developed cystic acne or another sort of breakout because of this oil, then here are the steps I've been taking that have helped me:

Wash with a very very gentle cleanser. Follow with BHA or AHA (alternate days, but pull back if it's irritating your skin). Use azelaic acid (or benzoyl peroxide, although it is a stronger irritant) on the affected areas (I apply a thin layer across my entire jaw, not just as spot treatment, because it seems more cysts are developing along there).

It's ok, it's not your fault, and your skin will recover. The inflammation will go down and your skin will heal, it will just take time. And please if it's very serious, go to your doctor!!
