Pros:

- will help to get rid of acne
- easy way to help you get rid of acne along with your regular treatment, you just have to drink 2-4 cups a day
- healthy :D lots-o-benifits

Cons:

- you can't miss a day without green tea cause your skin will look not so great , but only by a bit .
- bitter taste at first but you will get used to it
- need to drink for a week or two to see good results, and keep drinking forever

I was skeptical at first... But decided to try green tea out anyway. I have been drinking a cup of natural organic green tea in the morning and at night, sometimes one at noon. After 3 weeks, my skin tone looks a lot better and glowy lol. I am seeing less pimples and I don't have any right now. : ) yay I wash my face with green tea soap too at night , so that might be something for you to look into as well. Drink the tea along with your treatment and you will see results, just stick with it. It's cheap to find a box of green tea elsewhere, but in New York City it's like 5 dollars a box : ( . Good luck and I hope it works for you too. (the tea I use is all natural or organic green tea- just check the box)

Pros:

Really helped to reduce inflammation and breakouts

Cons:

none that I can think of.

You need to give it at least 2-4 weeks before you start to see results. I use a loose leaf tea because tea shop owners are often very knowledge and can help you pick the right kind for you. I use Superior Grade Sencha. 1 teaspoon per cup. I drink 2-4 cups and I use a French Press to steep and strain the leaves. I make 2 cups in the a.m. which makes 1 mug full. I also put loose leaf Rosehips in as well as they are rich in Vitamins A,D and E. Which I'm sure you all know are beneficial to acne sufferers. To make 2 cups I use 1 1/2 teaspoons of green tea and 1/2 teaspoon of Rosehips. Most quality loose leaf green teas are caffeinated so to remove caffeine from your tea, simply pour boiling water over the loose-leaf tea leaves in your teapot, allow the tea to steep for 30 seconds, and then discard the liquid. Use the same tea leaves with fresh hot water to brew a close to fully decaffeinated cup of tea for drinking. Also try Rooibos tea, all the benefits of green tea without t

Pros:

Cheap, Easy and VERY effective.

Cons:

None, Unless you don't like the taste of it.

I have mild-moderate acne. I've been suffering from acne for almost 2 years. I've tried over the counter products (Proactive,Neutrogena,Pills..etc. You name it..)Even my dermatologist was starting to give up on me. Spent hundreds of dollars. But I found about Green tea. It works wonders! I drink about 3-4 cups a day. I recommend the decaffeine kind. One in the morning, afternoon and right before I sleep. After drinking a cup (I only do this in the morning&right before bed) I take out the leaves inside the bag. I know it sounds a bit weird but it works. And I gently rub the leaves into my skin, kinda like a cleanser and then wash it off with warm water and dry off with a towel(Don't use the white kind). My skin feels so much smoother and less oily. Good luck!

Pros:

Tastes good

Cons:

Can get a bit boring

I have only started drinking green tea and so far it tastes great but I've not seen any improvement in my skin. I have acne from time to time and it's not necessarily helped. I am not sure how to use it on my face and I don't want to try unless it makes anything worse. It tastes good with lemon or low cal sweetener (i only add sweetener sometimes) and after reading comments on here I hope it gets rid of my acne or at least reduces it.

Pros:

Cheap, gentle source of caffeine, works like foundation for olive skin, tastes good, gives time to relax, smells good, works well, skin feels smooth!

Cons:

face feels a little tight afterwards, but a little moisturizer immediately fixes that.

After brewing a cup of green tea, use the teabag like an astringent. Wash your face (30 seconds non-stop), pat dry, teabag your face, let it air dry (so your skin soaks it up) while sipping a hot cup of tea. Works almost as well as Sisley brand lotion. It's 100% natural and full of antioxidants that should kill the bacteria. I have greenish-yellow skin with a few pale splotches(from psoriasis) so the green tea evens out my skin tone. When I stopped drinking tea b/c of GERD my acne went nuts. This could have been from lack of antioxidants, stress, or my body being angry at me. By the next day the pimple should have a nice white tip, ready to pop itself or be popped.

Pros:

Inexpensive, multiple health benefits, appears to make skin slightly less oily

Cons:

None

Use green tea in combination with other methods. If your acne is severe/moderate, do low-dose accutane (no more than 20mg a day) and combine it with green tea. If mild, then do retin-a with green tea. I am surprised green tea works, but it really does. If it's not working, drink more (e.g., 6-10 cups a day). It does in fact have strong anti-inflammatory effects.
