It helps!
I drink one or two cups of green tea everyday and afterwards put the tea-bag on my skin. I don't know if drinking green tea is very beneficial for your skin, because I still get the same amount of new pimples. But it has definitely helped my gut to be calmer and they say acne is caused by gut problems for some people. But using the tea-bag on my face as an exfoliator has remarkably been effective! It helps to remove the redness and also makes pimples appear smaller. Sadly it doesn't cause your pimples to stay away, but it's a very helpful method to get rid of pimples that are already there.

Very effective! Works best if you drink 3-6 cups a day!
Worked wonderfully for clearing up my acne. I drink about 3-6 large cups a day. It takes time to clear up, but if you drink a good amount a day plus have a healthy diet and take vitamins you will see an improvement. Don't expect a miracle and to have clear skin within a week. Green tea won't clear it up on it's own but it makes a huge difference. I highly recommend green tea to anyone suffering from mild, moderate, to even severe acne.

Decaffeinated Green Tea Is Available Also
I appreciate all of the previous reviews about green tea for acne! I wanted to let everyone know that there are different brands of decaffeinated green tea available also. "Bigelow" is just one of the companies that makes decaffeinated green tea. You can find this tea at any grocery store. You just have to look for the Bigelow Green Tea box, that has the orange labeled that says decaffeinated on it. I have seen other brands of decaffeinated green tea also. You will need to search each box, for the label that states decaffeinated, otherwise it is assumed to have caffeine in it. When preparing green tea, I honestly just open the tea bag up and dump the contents of green tea in the water to be boiled, so that I drink the herb in it's purest form. 2 large glasses of this per day, boosts my immune system and seems to make my pimples less inflamed, as green tea is an anti-inflammatory herb. As a woman in my thirties, I get worse acne depending on the change of my cycle, so I use a combination of eating a large serving of fresh, steamed broccoli and 2 large glasses of green tea per day to help regulate my hormones for clearer skin also. Hope this helps everyone!

Great Results !
When i heard about the benefits of green tea for acne, I started drinking 2 cups of green tea (organic) daily with lemon and honey and I saw great results. I stopped having breakouts anymore and my acne has become better now. My acne scars has lighten up and now there are very few pimples left. I'll continue to drink it and hope my acne gets totally cured soon. You will not see the results immediately it will take some weeks, so be patient ! :) Best of luck :D

Pros:

- Cheap
- Very healthy, not just for your skin
- Reduces redness
- Reduces pain from cystic acne

Cons:

- Bad taste

I've been drinking this stuff for 2 days and I already see a noticeably improvement in my skin. My cystic acne spots have dried up and my face looks less red after just 2 days. I definately recommend this product as I think cystic acne has more to do with diet than hormones, I no longer get whiteheads that used to plague me. I recently did a complete diet overhall and have cut out dairy and caffeine completely. After 2 days I see improvements already.

I drink one BIG cup of Bigelows green tea without anything in it every day. It cleanses the body from inside and out and my face feels more "clean" from impurities than before.

Pros:

- cleanses the body
- jam packed with benefits in the long run
- can dried up acne
- refreshing effect on the skin (face and around the eyes)
- can ease the redness of the blemishes left by pimples

Cons:

the unbearable taste when you're drinking it the first time

green tea is good for the body. Everybody can benefit from it when consumed properly. Green tea should be taken moderately as it contains caffeine too. Too much caffeine is no good. I'm drinking green tea like nearly one year already. At first just to know what it taste like, wondering why many Asians were so into it. And just to enjoy my Chinese buffet spree. As day passes by, it becomes part of my day, during my first month, I add tons of equal and milk into it because of the unforgiving taste, and then my 2nd month, I load it with honey, on my 3rd month up to now, I drink it just the way it is. I believe by drinking just the way it is you can max the benefit your body will get. I use it too (the tea bag) in my face and it dried my biggest pimple in 2 days, it also reduced the redness of some blemishes on my face. I applied it around my eyes especially on my eyebags to reduce its puffiness and hopefully to reduce its darkness.

Pros:

- Works
-Cheap
-Easy to apply/consume
-It has other health benefit.(weight loss)

Cons:

-taste at the beginning

I was hit with moderately severe acne for the last 2 years, life was miserable and new acne keep popping up every single day. Since using green tea for the last 6 months, its has tremendously improve my skin condition. I do still have SMALL pimple which appears once in awhile but it heals faster than before as green tea helps in reducing inflammation. I am not saying that green tea is a sure remedy in curing acne but to those who are stuck in finding a solution for their acne problem, give Green Tea a try. good luck

Pros:

-Good for you
-Actually does clear your skin
-Tasty
-Great to fade acne scars

I love drinking green tea when I'm doing my homework or just on the computer. I'm 15 and have light/moderate acne and this stuff works. Usually after I drink it I rub the wet bag all over my face and it feels nice and tight later. I recommend this.
