Pros:

Helps clear up skin, controls moderate acne, gives my skin a "glow"

Cons:

Does irritate the skin and cause peeling

I have used glycolic peels in the 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% strength. It took me 2 years to work my way up from 20% to 50%. I do the peels approximately every other week, and alternate with 12.5% TCA peels periodically. I feel that this regimen has helped keep my skin clear and I receive many compliments on my "glowing" skin. I am 33 years old and am constantly mistaken for being much younger. These peels do cause irritation and skin peeling. If/when I don't do the peels for a while, this irritation/peeling is worse. I also use glycolic toner and cleanser and copper peptide serum/emu oil as part of my regimen. I purchase all of my products from an online store that I have been extremely satisfied with. Most important - follow directions exactly - when in doube

Pros:

evens skin tone and texture

Cons:

20-30% can cause serious irratation and flare ups

it gets rid of dark scars and helps with acne by exfoliating, BUT if you think a stronger concentration of glycolic acid will give you better results BEWARE it can cause major irritation and flare ups.

Pros:

Makes skin much softer in texture & easy to apply & with limited irritation

Cons:

Do not see immediate results, results are slow to be seeing and need at least 6-10 treatments to see results.

Its awesome. Every week I will apply a thin layer of Glycolic Acid Peel to elimate pigmentation results. It does work except, it takes a LONG TIME to see actual evident results. It does make skin much softer. You just don't see the miracle results as you would hope for but for the price this is definitely worth your try.

Pros:

Great treatment

Cons:

Takes a Few peels to see results

I have literally tried hundreds of products over the last couple of years. None seemed to help I have been on thr regimine for about 6 months with little results. Frusterated,I decided that I would try out a estatition. I decided on microdermaabrasion with a glycolic peel. AMAZING! The first couple of sessions did make me brake out but after the fourth my skin looks better than it's looked in years. I am now trying MD Forte's glycolic face wash along with a glycolic mosturizer and can really see a differance in my skin. Try it , it migh work for you too.

Pros:

Evens skin tone, reduces overall blemishes, gives skin a "glow", and reduces pore size.

Cons:

After extractions (which is recommended) my face is inflamed, but the next day its great! Because this is a mild peel, I expect real results are going to take a lot longer than I would like, but I'd rather wait it out to avoid looking bad for 2 wks.

I've only had 2 peels and Blu-U Light right after. That and the combination of tetracyclene (500mg twice day)has done wonders. I only have red spots left, and hopefully after 6-8 treatments they will all be gone. I recommend seeing a specialist/Aesthetician because, unlike a derm Dr, the aesthetician wants you to look good. My treatment is $250 for 6 peels and its worth it.

Pros:

made my skin look refreshed-smooth and shiny.

Cons:

i did a professional peel, so it was $70, and it was recommended every other month for best results. made my skin very sensitive to sun

youthful skin, give it a chance. home remedies always are "ify" because you are not a dermatologist. You have no idea, even if it says on the box, what you actually have purchased and the best way to use it.

I saw an instant small difference day by day!
If you guys want to start with a low percentage of glycolic acid. I bought the murad resurfacing peel pads for 40$(I know it's a lot but I wrote a tip below). On the first application I felt a tad tingling and left it on for 3 minutes. The next morning I was both happy because some of my bad acne marks were a tiny bit lighter and I was also happy because I finally saw hope. I have been using it every other night just because I want to give my face a night of rest and don't want to irritate or harm it. I also have been cutting each pad in half since 40$ is a lot and half was still good and showing results. After like a month I can finally not wear any make up and not like hate my skin and Iv been loving my skin. Eventually though (not sure exactly when) but I completely stopped feeling the tingling and I think my skin is use to the 10% now so I bought 20% on skin obsession on amazon( has pretty good reviews). Gunna try it out. But yeah I recommend the wipes and I'm glad I bought them and also that I started at 10%. Just to know I'm trying but also making sure I'm playing it safe and not being to desperate for fast results and maybe harm my skin.

Pros:

Works to clear up current acne and also fades past acne marks.

Cons:

Can dry out the skin if not used as reccomended.

I love it. I also look for acne washes that have Glycolic acid as an ingredient. I found a 1-step Glycolic acid peel at [link removed]. It's about $32 for 20 pads.
