Pros:

-hardly any scent
-does not lather
-does not require water to rinse off
-very, very mild
-cleanses well
-cost efficient

Cons:

-so mild it doesn't remove make up well, which isn't a problem for me, but it may be for someone who has very sensitive skin and cannot use standard makeup remover

I would recommend this to anyone who has normal to dry skin. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who has oily skin as it is making my DRY skin feel oily right after cleansing. I do not have acne so I cannot judge how it is working that regard, it is helping my recovering dry skin! I wish I had found this sooner!

Pros:

- gentle
- balancing
- cleanses decently (better than most "gentle" cleansers, on par with a regular cleanser)

Cons:

- runny liquid
- doesn't seem to be very good at removing oil, those who have oil issues should probably follow up with astringent and moisturizer
- contains quite a few preservatives

I use this cleanser to remove my makeup prior to using the AcneFree system. I like how it does a decent job at removing my makeup without stripping it of any moisture; leaving it at a nice clean and balanced state for the harsher BP-containing AcneFree cleanser to do its work. I'm considering using this as my only cleanser - I think I will be ok as long as I continue to use some BP treatment afterwards like the AcneFree BP medicated repair lotion.

Pros:

-Makes skin smoother, calm, not as red
-Somewhat gentle
-Not expensive

Cons:

-Kind of drying
-Clogs pores
-Doesn't really take care of acne

I have used Cetaphil for about 3 years, with the recommendation from my dermatologist. It really calmed my skin and made it smooth, but 3 years I realized that this stuff makes my pores enlarged, but I have found a product that takes care of it, which is Purpose. Sometimes, my make up was left on since the cetaphil didn't wash it off thoroughly and it made me break out sometimes (but minor) However, I recommend this product for those who don't wear much make up :) FYI - I have very sensitive, somewhat dry skin that breaks out very easily! :(

Pros:

so gentle on my sensitive skin, it isn't a pain to use like some other cleansers, cheap, nice bottle, lasts a long time

Cons:

no changes in acne, cheeks still get a little dry, oil production the same or worse, smells a bit--but its better than a fake fragrance

perfect to throw into your regimen because it isn't strong so you won't be aggravating your skin...prepares well for treatment.

Pros:

It works absolutely wonderfully on skin. For people with irritable skin, try this, you'll be very very pleased with the results. Feels great on your skin afterwards and leaves a lovely glow.

Cons:

Packaging, it is a little annoying to pour out.

For people who have sensitive skin, who have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of acne, try this as your face cleanser. It prevents acne as long as you use it consistently and frequently, with some acne cream. Truly an amazing product, cleared up my forehead pimples in a week!

Pros:

Smooth application feels good, does the job. Very gentle on the skin

Cons:

None really, its way better than all the foaming scrubs Ive used. Foaming scrubs seem obscene now that ive used cetaphil.

Definitely worth it for a gentle acne face wash.

Pros:

gentle
affordable
works pretty well with my diy regimen

Cons:

doesn't foam up
feels like it doesn't really cleanse my skin

it's so gentle that I don't feel that it cleanse my face. but it works well with my diy regimen ( while waiting for my order to arrive.) and there's this weird feeling when you just let the gel sit on your hand, like your blood isn't flowing in your hand but maybe it's just me hahaha. it works better than those harsh medicated foamy and very expensive type of cleansers in small bottles so thumbs up!
