Pros:

it's gentile, simple, and i believe a face wash like this is really all you need. i also like the smell =]

Cons:

it doesn't exfoliate, it's just soap. it's nothing fancy, but that could be a good thing

i've been using this for a while now, and my acne has definitely improved, but i dont think it is because of this product. it is good cleanser, isnt fancy and doesnt have harsh chemicals, and a simple wash like this is a good foundation for other spot treatments and such. i wash with ceptaphil morning and night. in the morning i follow with the cetaphil daily moisturizer with SPF, then i put on my mineral make up ([link removed]). at night i follow with either lemon juice all over my face or the ProActiv refining mask (a VERY thin layer all over and a little bit more on the "problem areas"). I believe each of the steps in my personal program have improved my acne. however, for anything to work for you, i think just sticking to a treatment is all it takes.

Pros:

a must if you are using harsh prescription acne products, or if you have really dry skin.

Cons:

doesn't clear off eye makeup/foundation.

It's a must for those with harsh, drying or irritating acne prescriptions (e.g., Differin, Retin A Micro, BP, etc.). It does not irritate or dry out skin, and actually leaves skin feeling smooth and clean. Don't use to clean off makeup though. It contains no acne medication, so obviously it won't directly kill acne bacteria or anything, but used in conjunction with another acne fighting product, it does its job well.

Pros:

It is very light and it keeps face moisturized.

Cons:

It didn't do anything for my acne. I actually think it made it worse. And I don't have super oily skin. I have combo. But it's always worth a try to see if it works for you!

Didn't help acne for me :(

Pros:

gentle, fragrance-free, non-drying

Cons:

doesn't lather,

I used Neutrogena oil-free acne wash and it literally caused me to break out. I switched back to cetaphil and my skin was clearer

Pros:

Light texture, affordable. Fragrance free. Gentle and does not irritate my sensitive skin.

Cons:

Quite drying. Makes my flaking skin even worse after a few days.

Minus the dryness, it's a rather good cleanser although it does not foams well at all. But I won't stick with it because it dries my skin quite badly.

Pros:

Doesn't dry out skin
leaves skin feeling soft
Wont irritate skin

Cons:

NONE

This cleanser is perscibed by dermatologists and for good reason. It wont irritate the skin or dry it out. Many other cleansers have harsh ingriedients that will strip your skin of its natural moisture and leave it feeling dry, tight and uncomfortable- this dryness ultimately leads to increased production of sebum(oils) which will just clog your pores and create more acne . I've tried clearasil and nivea ( even the exta soothing version) but they still left my skin dry. Combine this with a moisturiser from galderma's range such as nutaderm and your skin will improve.
