Pros:

Smooths Skin Amazingly!
Helps With Redness.
Doesn't Dry Out Skin.
Very Inexpensive For The Amount That You Get.

Cons:

Doesn't Remove Makeup Very Well.

I had read a lot of reviews on this cleanser, but had never actually gotten round to buying it, as I figured it would do the same as every other cleanser. I had been using Nutrogena Acne Stress Control, for about 6 months, and had no problem with it, except that it made my skin quite red. Anyway I ran out of that a few weeks ago, and saw Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser at the supermarket, so I figured I'd give it a go. My acne is moderate, I get breakouts on my chin, and a few on my cheeks, and a lot of redness on my forehead. After just a few days of using this, I noticed a huge improvement in my skin, not so much with the acne, but with the redness! I thought my acne was quite bad, until I saw my face without redness and realised it wasn't as bad as I thought. My skin feels so much smoother, and 90% of the redness has completely gone! The first couple of days, I did notice it was giving me a few more pimples on my chin, but I have heard from a lot of people that it will get worse before it gets better, as it pulls up all the bacteria out of your skin. I stopped using it for a few days, and tried a Nivea Cleanser, as I was worried about those new pimples, but then my skin just got red and irritated, so I went back to the Cetaphil and I love it! My acne is slowly clearing up, and it is amazing how smooth my skin feels! Bottom line is, I love this cleanser. I will update again after I have been using it for a month or two, but so far I really like it. I do recommend!

Pros:

Non-drying
Easily Available
Inexpensive

Cons:

Non-lathering

A dermatologist recommended this to me 10 years ago when I first began the process of treating my acne. The idea behind this cleanser is not to treat your acne, but to give the products you are using a clean basis for the treatment to work. Cetaphil does not lather, tingle, or dry out your skin. Because of this, many people do not feel the cleanser is working properly. Trust me, after this long, I still come back to this cleanser after I have the urge to try something new. This is a great cleanser if you are using prescription acne products that tend to be irritating or if you are having any procedures done on a regular basis, such as microdermabrasion or chemical peels.

Pros:

Face feels clean
Make redness go down
Feels gentle on my skin

Cons:

None so far

I have only been using Cetaphil for one day and yes perhaps I shouldn't be jumping to conclusions but it has already seemed to have done wonders for my skin. I have damaged skin due to a bad experience with using proactive and already I see improvements. The redness is going down. I would wake up every day with a new pimple but none, so far and none seem to be forming. My old one aren't sore or flaky anymore. I look forward to continuing using it. I would love to get my clean skin back again.

Pros:

Nice smell, rinse off clean, skin feels soft for a while after.

Cons:

It seems to be making my acne worse. More breakouts, more oily skin. I have to wash my face more and more with it because my skin feels dirty.

I wouldn't buy it again. I would have a few pimples, wash my face with Cetaphil, go to sleep, and wake up with many more.
