Pros:

Non-fragrance
Non-lather
Removes makeup

Cons:

Can be slightly drying

Most dermatologists recommend that all skin types, especially acne prone and sensitive skin types should avoid anything that foams or lathers, as usually that means they're drying! This is why I love Cetaphil - there's no lather, it covers my face well, doesn't sting, removes all of my makeup with one wash, and stops major breakouts. I had horrific acne from about 2007 to 2009. I tried everything and no product worked. Eventually it calmed down, and in 2011 I discovered Cetaphil, and my skin is now almost entirely clear. I have small breakouts every once in a while, but the acne has shrunk in size and I very rarely get big white heads. Cetaphil helps to remove acne in just a few days at most. It can sometimes be slightly drying, so I use Cetaphil Moisturizer as well after I shower.

Pros:

None for me

Cons:

Irritated my skin

This cleanser works well for some people but was terrible for me. I used it when I started on Epiduo and had really dry red irritated skin. Initially I thought it was the Epiduo but when I stopped using the Cetaphil (& kept using Epiduo) my skin got better. Although it's described as gentle it contains sodium lauryl sulfate - which is used in research studies as a comparison skin irritant! You might be ok with it (skin varies a lot) but I've discovered my skin doesn't like it.

Pros:

Smooth
Prevents pimples
rinses well

Cons:

No foam/lather
Pricey
Takes time

This stuff is pretty expensive, especially for the size of the bottle. But I love Cetaphil products, and I think it's worth the price! I still have acne but the number of pimples I'm getting has greatly reduced. I've been using it for a month, and only got one pimple all month! I still have scarring on my cheeks, and it's taking its sweet time to heal up. I will keep using this, because my skin is sensitive and dry, and this gentle cleanser is great for what my skin needs. Try it out!

Pros:

Non-irritating
removes oil

Cons:

No Foam

I have light acne, most of which is attributed to oily skin. The cleanser works and removes dirt, oil, and such. The only negative is that it doesn't foam, so I feel like I have to use more pumps than necessary to clean my face. With that said, I'd still recommend the cleanser as it is a lot cheaper than my old one (dermalogica).

Pros:

-very gentle
-non-drying cleanser.
-skin feels nice after use.

Cons:

-when you rub your hands together it does not creat the "foam" that you should expect at a cleanser.

Although I do have a small cons as I listed it's not a reason not to give this product 5 star because it deserves.

Pros:

Cheaper than most products, feels nice, gentle, doesn't dry skin, doesn't irritate skin, cleans thoroughly.

Cons:

Nothing as yet.

I have been using this product for 5 years on and off. It is the best cleanser I have tried! I love Cetaphil.

Pros:

Gentle
Fragrance Free
Doesn't dry out my skin
Easy to rinse off
Non-medicated

Cons:

You have to get used to the texture.
Doesn't remove makeup very well. (I don't wear makeup so that isn't a problem for me.)

When I first used this, I didn't really like it because it didn't leave my skin with that refreshing sensation other cleansers left. However, I just kept using it and it was actually really nice. My skin did feel clean after I washed it, but not tight and dry. It made my skin feel smooth and healthy. This will not help with breakouts alone, but it will prepare the skin for any topical medication.

Pros:

-Gentle
-No-fragrance
-(claims to be non-comedogenic)

Cons:

-made me breakout
-has sodium lauryl sulfate!!!!
-face didn't feel clean after

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is a major skin irritant do not use facial cleansers with it! I would reccomend the Cerave Cleanser. My acne was pretty tame and i do suffer from sensitivity so I tried this and it made it sooo much worse. Word of advice spend more money on your diet the rewards are amazing.

Pros:

Gently Cleanses my skin
No breakouts
PH Level
Non Comedogenic
Leaves skin smooth and very clean
I think Everything!

Cons:

I think it would not work so well for those who have severe acne.

I used this product once 3 months ago just to give it a try and i like it because my skin feels so good every time i use it and i had no breakouts as well. i don't know what crossed in my mind why i temporarily stop using it and now i really regret trying other products that caused more problem into my face so i decided going back to cetaphil one more time and im gonna use it forever.
