Pros:

EFFECTIVE but GENTLE. Affordable. Prevents acne when used twice daily.

Cons:

May not be strong enough for those with severe acne. I recommend it for people who have those who have mild but persistent acne (those who always seem to have a few pimples on their face).

This is the BEST (affordable) facial cleanser I have tried (I have oily skin that is acne-prone when not maintained). The results are close to the products of Carin's, Shiseido and Lancome but it cost $6.00 vs $20.00. Proof it works: If I don't use it for a few days, I will notice after the first use that the dead skin becomes dry and visible, but the new skin underneath is fresh, moist, and soft! It's pretty amazing, I don't know how they do it!! You will have softer skin with dramatically less pimples, bumps, and irritation. Its GENTLENESS is key. It simply whisks away everything extra from your skin (dirt, oil, dead skin) and leaves a healthy amount of oil/skin on your face, which is necessary for healthy skin. Completely oil-free skin becomes tight, supple, dry and counteracts by producing too much oil. Other products in the same price range use detergents that strip away too much and aggravate acne. This products leaves BALANCED, HEALTHY skin.

Pros:

No weird scent, very gentle.

Cons:

None.

I have used Purpose face wash and lotion on my face for at least seven years. I have sensitive skin that tends to have adverse reactions to scented or chemically harsh products. Purpose is fantastic! It doesn't leave my face so dry that it feels like it might crack, and it never irritates my skin. I am an addict.

I have used a lot of facial cleansers. Even though I do not have bad acne, I like to have smooth skin and this is the best cleanser by far. I am getting married next month and when my face started breaking out I ordered Dan's BP and mosturizer (after a lot of internet research, which is wonderful) I just added purpose to the regime. My skin looks absolutely great. Also, Queen Helene Mint Julep mask twice a week works great! Good luck to everyone!

Pros:

Gets rid of pimples and blemishes, easy on skin, won't irritate, won't clog pores, smoother texture

I bought this after using so many different products. I am talking all kinds of acid washes and stuff. I have oily skin, and its thick. I thought this stuff would not help my skin. I was shocked at how well it has helped in the past 2 weeks. My skin has only two pimples on it. I used to get 4 or 5 weekly. I love this product and won't buy anything else. I went to plastic surgeons to see about getting scars fixed and all agreed that I should get off harsh acids and chemicals before they would work on scars, and all said generally the less harsh a cleanser is the better. 3 of the 4 I went to, mentioned using this. I am not saying this fixed my scars, but it helped my breakouts and pores for sure. Don't waste your time with other crap out there, GO GET THIS!!!!!

Pros:

The best product out there! It clears my skin and keeps it soft. I can use it more than once a day and it doesn't dry out my skin.

Cons:

I wish the bottle was more travel friendly.

I would recommend Purpose to everyone-regardless of their skin type. Those who have taken my recommendation have had nothing but good to say about it and still use it.

Great cleanser,nice lather. takes make-up completely off! Leaves skin feeling clean,not tight!

Pros:

i've tried everything and purpose is the best $5 one can spend if battling acne. yes, i still get the 1/2 occasional pimples, but i used to have severe acne, so that's nothing :).

Cons:

your skin can feel a little dry afterwards, but if you use a good moisturizer (like you're suppose to), it's fine.

buy it and try it!

good cleanser

Pros:

gentle
leaves skin clean
non-irritating

This wash is gentle like the bottle says. It foams up well, and doesn't dry out the skin but will take off some oil and just the faintest tight feeling, but really depends on how oily your skin is. This is the cleanser i keep buying over and over, and going back to. I've read some where that the ph is 6 or 7 so its almost ph correct for the skin but will remove some oil, not all. with a moisturizer it is perfect. Works as wash for chest shoulders back as well.
