Garlic burns!!
I applied crushed garlic on a pimple and now it has caused a black pigment around that area. Should I have mixed water or tomato juice with that crushed garlic and applied it on my face. How long will the pigment take to disappear? Any way to get rid of these spots?

You should not put the crushed garlic on your skin, just its juice mixed with some water, and apply it with a cotton bud on zits

Pros:

Heals acne faster

Cons:

Burns the skin if kept for long time

i applied crushed garlic on my face & kept it overnight. It burnt like hell but i thought it was normal. When i woke up in morning there was a big black spot like a burn on my cheek,it was quite large & it looks horrible. Now its been like 45 days but the scar is still clearly visible & its darkbrown in color. Dont know what to do. Dont know what to tell people when they ask about the scar. Doc told it will go but the healing process is very slow. Let the pimple heal on their own it will only keep scar for few days. but if u get garlic burn scar it will take months to heal. DONT EVER USE GARLIC LIKE I DID, IT WILL SPOIL UR FACE. TRUST ME

Pros:

None!

Cons:

Horrible garlic burns, existing acne scars got much much worse. I went from having one terrible pimple to six old acne scars getting much darker, and having the pimple I was trying to get rid of get much darker, redder, and bigger.

It's garbage when applying topically. It seems like it's working at first, but that's only because everything else becomes red so it appears that the pimple is getting better by comparison. If I had left it alone it would have been gone by the end of the week; now I'll have this terrible burn for a month! Terrible idea!

Left me with a huge mark that took months to fade!
I had a nasty pimple months back, and I applied crushed garlic directly on it. NOT A GOOD IDEA. It burned, but I thought that just meant it was working. After about 15 minutes, I washed it off, and when I checked in the mirror, I saw that sure enough the pimple had flattened out, but in its place, there was huge pigmented spot. It was awful and took months to fade! Do not recommend using it directly on the skin, but eating garlic is great for your health.

Absolutely burnt my face off =| When using for the first time only apply a small amount of garlic juice to check the sensitivity of your skin. If you go overboard without knowing how sensitive your skin is, you'll end up like me with a very very burnt face =| Does anybody know how long the burns last for?

Pros:

dries up the zit overnight

Cons:

left 2 horrid brown marks on my face

read about it and thought i must try this as nothing seems to work for me.. i minced some garlic and applied it over my zits.. attributed the burning sensation to the garlic working on the zits and left it on.. went to wash my face after 15mins.. imagine my shock and dismay when i saw a huge brown burn mark on my forehead and cheek! the first layer peeled off in a few days but the mark is till there.. its been 2 months.. im thinking of trying mederma to make it go away.

Pros:

Appears to have reduced pimples slightly, but has completely left my face looking like I have severe sunburn!

Cons:

Wish I had read this blog beforehand.... now I have to spend more money trying to get rid of the burns its left!! ahhh

If you are going to apply the garlic orally... make sure you dab the garlic on pimples ONLY, do not apply over entire face... just the pimples with a cotton stick
