Pros:

Turns your skin, sweat and blood antibacterial (when swallowed raw).

Cons:

burns an empty stomach like crazy.

Garlic has a natural antibacterial chemical called allicin. Allicin is what causes halitosis after eating garlic bread. This happens b/c allicin is carried by the blood, still potent. I finely mince a clove of garlic and swallow it with iced tea or water like a pill. Because of the smell i like to do this at night, before going to sleep. Works even better when done before sleep and after waking up (after eating something). Garlic burns. Do not eat on an empty stomach. I tried garlic topically once and it burned like crazy. Comparatively, eating raw garlic is much nicer and is more effective (b/c your sweat is now antibacterial). BECAUSE GARLIC BURNS LIKE CRAZY, i only use this when i'm desperate and NEED IMMEDIATE RESULTS(like, before a job interview).

Pros:

* quite easy to use so long as you have something to blend it with
* works best if freshly blended
* massage onto cyst or pimple, not all over face

Cons:

* I'm dark-complected, and the first couple of times a tried it burned my skin
* use hydrocortisone on the burned or irritated area as it assists in the healing and peeling process (this technique I borrowed from my esthetician)

I've found that blending one clove into a paste works best. I add in a little sesame oil to get it going. Leave on until the burning stops. Then rinse with warm water, or very gently wipe with a hot towel. Now if anyone knows how to get rid of acne scars, please do share...

Pros:

Cons:

can burn in sensitive or overly dry areas. Lol, the smell is something to get used to

It works, just use fresh garlic.

Pros:

It reduces the size of pimples fairly quickly

Cons:

Stinks and stings a bit

I put mashed garlic on my face and leave it on for a couple hours after breakouts.

Pros:

It's easy and cheap. And it really does help.

Cons:

Nothing really. Unless Your allergic, which Im not. And many people say that the smell is horrible, but i like the smell of garlic, call me crazy.

The way I use it is I eat a clove a day, and rub it on my face three times a week. It works inturnal and exturnal, you can't beat it. I've tried alot of stuff, but i find that my face becomes immune to the store bought face products. I found that the best cleaners for MY face is apple cider vineger OR garlic. I've never tried both at a time, and i don't suggest you do.

Pros:

havent seen any results yet, anyone know how long until I see results? I used it for about 2 days.

Cons:

Nothing. Not allergic and I havent noticed any burns.

so far, I havent seen any results, I hope to soon though.

Pros:

It cleared up redness and white heads quickly.

Cons:

It burns a little bit.

It works extreamly well. Garlic has natural anti-bacterial properties (sulfides). Anyway, I made a mask from oatmeal, honey, vinegar, and crushed garlic, applied it to my face until the mask dried, rinsed with warm water, and applied an aloe based lotion. Try it.

Cons:

It really really burns and makes my eyes tear, and an awful smell

I've used it for only two days but haven't noticed any improvement yet. Perhaps I leave it on too long and my fair skin can't deal with it too well. But I'm a little desperate right now. Been on too many medications and topical cremes. SO I'll try keeping it on for shorter periods of time and will comment in a few more days, to see how it goes.

Pros:

Yes! use it. It practically goes away over night. Rub it on your whole face if you want to!

Cons:

Your mom might get mad at you for using all her garlic from the pantry. And the smell is not that bad because you get used to it and it goes away pretty soon.

The best thing in the world, forget proactive and all that other unnatural junk. this is the best way to get rid of acne and its 100% natural.
