Pros:

Reduced the amount of pimples on face.

Cons:

Burns for about a minute or two and a little smelly.

I've tried everything possible, from face creams/soaps/antibiotics/facials etc. After first use i saw and felt the difference.

Pros:

none

Cons:

it burns your skin

i put a mashed clove of garlic on my skin for about 15mins, while on my face it stung incredabily bad, worse than benzyol peroxide. I then washed my face and went to bed in the morning i woke up and had bloches that almost looked like blisters in the spot were the garlic had been.

Pros:

It cleared up redness and white heads quickly.

Cons:

It burns a little bit.

It works extreamly well. Garlic has natural anti-bacterial properties (sulfides). Anyway, I made a mask from oatmeal, honey, vinegar, and crushed garlic, applied it to my face until the mask dried, rinsed with warm water, and applied an aloe based lotion. Try it.

Cons:

It really really burns and makes my eyes tear, and an awful smell

I've used it for only two days but haven't noticed any improvement yet. Perhaps I leave it on too long and my fair skin can't deal with it too well. But I'm a little desperate right now. Been on too many medications and topical cremes. SO I'll try keeping it on for shorter periods of time and will comment in a few more days, to see how it goes.

Pros:

Yes! use it. It practically goes away over night. Rub it on your whole face if you want to!

Cons:

Your mom might get mad at you for using all her garlic from the pantry. And the smell is not that bad because you get used to it and it goes away pretty soon.

The best thing in the world, forget proactive and all that other unnatural junk. this is the best way to get rid of acne and its 100% natural.

It works
I wish I knew back in my teens what I know now. Raw garlic combined with removing dairy products and excess sugar will dramatically reduce acne. It takes about two weeks to notice a difference however. Firstly avoid all dairy and reduce sugar. (These mess with hormones and cause insulin spikes which also mess with hormones). With the garlic, buy fresh bulbs and consume more to start with. Before meals peel one or two cloves of garlic and chop the peeled clove into small pieces. Gather the pieces in your hand and drink down with water. After a few days reduce the amount. Eventually, after a week or so just peel one clove of garlic, chop into tiny pieces and drink down. It definitely works. You also notice the difference when you stop taking the garlic. Also, wash your face no more than twice a day with a gentle glycerin soap. The skin needs to be lubricated to allow solidified sebum to escape from the pores. Use cold water.

Pros:

cheap

Cons:

burns, redness

I saw this remedy on the internet, and it made sense so I tried it. I squashed garlic cloves and put them on my face for 5 mintues. As soon I put the garlic on my face it started to BURN ( of course i thought this was normal). I took it off in 5 mintues EXACTLY and my face was burnt RED. It went away after a while but it kept burning all the way till I fell asleep so I thought iwas ok. NO! I woke up in the morning with red burns all over my face. now i have no idea what to do:(

judging by the comments left on the boards, i suggest to only use garlic for heavy duty pimples. if you hav a light severity of pimples use a type of cream or eat properly and drink plenty of water. garlic does smell horrible and if you leave it on your face long enough will leave a burn mark. BE CAREFUL!
