Pros:

fast-acting, cheap, easy

Cons:

odor, burning sensation, possible skin allergies to allicin

I use the Eminence line at home, and it is expensive! I have moderate cystic acne, and the expensive products have yet to show any visible progress on the severity of the acne, and I use it to the "t". They have a masque with Garlic and Tomato, so I thought I would research Garlic in general since I know of its naturopathic benefit. Last night I tried it, and it has worked right away in clearing my skin. It has not gone away, but the elevations of the cysts have diminished, the redness is paling, and the overall feel is less "infected". We will see if it keeps others from coming up. I rubbed half a clove onto my clean, dry skin and let it sit for 5 minutes, no more. The burning sensation soon subsided, and i was left pink in those areas. (I only rubbed it on the acne itself). After, I rinsed with lukewarm water, and patted dry with a CLEAN towel and followed with my normal routine, organic spray toner, and moisturizer on the rest of my non-active skin before bed. We'll see how it go

Pros:

Doesn't increase the amount of acne on face, Reduces them especially the ones that look like its about to burst...arrrgh

Cons:

Stings when applied...but goes away really fast

It helps minimise the amount of acne on your face, although it'll take more than 2 applications for a immediate affect but it's convenient when you really have to get out there and look glam, you can still feel like you haven't got a pizza-face but feel moderately free that the big mountains on your face are actually going away

Pros:

Garlic is natural and very affordable.

Cons:

It stings but only for a minute. It makes you reek of, what else...garlic!

It's very effective as an overnight acne treatment. At night after I wash my face, I crush one clove and apply the juice to my problem areas Of course it stings, but that soon wears off. In the morning, the pimples have shrunk a bit and my skin looks smoother. It even seems to work on the cyst type pimples which surprised me. I haven't noticed any burn marks though.

I use it only once today so i dont know about the pros and cons I read some of the comments. I only left it on for less nice 10 seconds and wash it off. I have this product by Kate Somerville called Exfolikate -Intensive Exfoliating Treatment, and it tell you to leave it on for 20-30 seconds. In about the first 10-15 seconds you can feel the burning a little. That why with the garlic I wash it off so fast. Garlic is really strong. I also dilute it with alots of water and use a very small piece of garlic. With anything that your using with ance only use a litle and dilute it with purified water. I will continue try the garlic. But remember dilute it and only use leave it on for 10 to 20 seconds.

Pros:

Taken internally works to rid body several infections

Cons:

The smell is hard to mask.

This really works! Depending on the type of pimple I have found only a few solutions that work every time, and Garlic is one of them. Crush fresh raw garlic and apply it to your skin. I've been using it on my body acne with amazing results. But I would take caution with the face. I use fresh Lemon on my face, because the garlic is a little too intense. For spot acne treatments I use raw honey/cinnamon/lemon. And take a few cloves of Garlic chased with WARM distilled water with lemon.. One of the best solutions you will find. And I've tried everything.

Pros:

Appears to have reduced pimples slightly, but has completely left my face looking like I have severe sunburn!

Cons:

Wish I had read this blog beforehand.... now I have to spend more money trying to get rid of the burns its left!! ahhh

If you are going to apply the garlic orally... make sure you dab the garlic on pimples ONLY, do not apply over entire face... just the pimples with a cotton stick

Pros:

Used it topically and it is really good at reducing redness and suckin the crap out of your skin. used it three times and i was fine

Cons:

Used it last night and i left it on my spots like a mask all night. Now i have some sort of dirty pussy burn that am now trying to heal by dabbing salt water

If you don't use it too long you will be fine. Probably better of taking it orally than anything else. If you do use it topically leave it to soak in vinegar first then apply them both. works better.
