It damaged my pores
This does exfoliate well, and leaves skin smooth. However, after using i started to get indented scars and one day i think i scrubbed too hard (my own fault) and my face got a tear and began bleeding. The little apricot things are very harsh and it got stuck in my pores and created tiny clogged pores. I now use the old bottle on my body because i dont want to waste it, and it seems to do well with thick skin, however this also broke out my back.

Pros:

:D Smells great

Cons:

D: Makes acne worse
D: Breaks skin
D: Irritates skin

Well I use to use it ever day at some point because my face felt amazing after. At that point, my face only broke out on my forehead. Them I reduced the usage to once or twice a week. After a while I stopped using it because I felt asd though I was using too many products on my face (africas best black soap; cetaphil; occassionally, maybe once ever three weeks used a neutrogena mask overnight) So here's where it gets crazy!! One day I decided "ooh let me use the apricot scrub again" that was probably the worst decision I've ever made. In about 2 days after irritation from it, my face broke out!! First it was about a few pimples on my forehead, to my whole face covered with them. Then, my cheeks, which were acne free broke out. And I've been breaking out like that since :( I don't use this product anymore, and never will. I'm still breaking out all over my face. =(

Feels nice but makes breakouts much worse

Pros:

Made my face feel nice

Cons:

Caused acne

Wow. So I used this product for over a year. My acne kept getting worse and worse and eventually I started suspecting it was the St. Ives causing this after my younger brother tried it and it made his breakouts much worse. I stopped using St. Ives and within 2-3 weeks my acne had cleared up exponentially.

Contact Dermatitis on Eyelids
Got dermatitis within the first month of using this product. At first I thought it was my mascara (been using it around a year so I threw it out) which might have played a factor. Ive always used korean skincare products (such as. The face shop aloe foam cleanser 365 days) because they cater to korean skin type (imo). But this scrub was on sale so my bro bought it. Ive used it 2-3 times a week as instructed on the label for a month now. And now Ive developed contact dermatitis on my eyelids. Itchy, red, and swollen at the beginning but after two weeks its become scaly, dry, and flaky. Ive been prescribed topical hydrocortisone with an emollient to bring down these symptoms. Tldr: if uve got sensitive skin dont use this sh*t u may contract dermititis , korean skincare products ftw

Also for my brother who also used it at the same time, said that his acne got more severe. So he stopped using it as well.

Not good for me

I would not recommend using this (or probably any scrub) if you have white heads sitting on the surface of your face. I bought this last week to try and scrub off some of the dead flaky skin on my face caused by another acne treatment, but it just caused a lot more white heads than before.

Pros:

Smells good
Cheap

Cons:

Irritating
Makes acne 4x worse
over drying

This is a terrible product and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.I purchased this product thinking it would get rid of my light acne but it instead turned it into moderate acne. It irritated my skin so much that it is now red , dry and acne ridden. I will never be repurchasing this item EVER and this all happened after two uses.

Pros:

It smells good, and it exfoliates.

Cons:

-Gave me cystic acne
-Since the beads/sand aren't perfectly round, they cause microscopic cuts on your skin, allowing bacteria in.
-Can be super harsh on skin.

Don't waste your money, please. I actually exfoliate my skin with salt and strawberries, WONDERFUL. 1x a week.

Pros:

Smell. Price.

Cons:

Messed my skin up after a year.

This really didn't do anything for my acne. So I started using it when my acne was very light. Only around my hairline and sometimes on my forehead. Now, I have very intense acne. I don't know whether to blame St. Ives, or BP, but I doubt it's the BP.
