Pros:

Definitely reduces inflammation, relatively cheap and side-effect free compared to similarly effective treatments.

Cons:

Can cause a little indigestion.

I have used this for a couple of weeks now and have noticed a definite reduction in the inflammation of my acne and new breakouts. No miracle cure as of yet, but definite improvement! I take about 1g of omega-3 which, compared to many people on this board, is not a lot! I will definitely up the omega-3 to at least 3g as recommended and report on any increase in benefits!

Pros:

Works better than anything else I've tried and is really good for you.

Cons:

Kind of expensive but worth it.

I on here earlier about how well fish oil was working for me: no more zits, pores literally oozing- I could pull the sebum out with tweezers (gross but awesome). I was really happy but just felt my sking could still look a little better so I tried the double strength fish oil and my skin is even better. These have twice the EPA and DHA as others. Again, my pores emptied even more. They are hardly visible now. My bio teacher told me that omega-3s are anti-inflammatory so maybe that has something to with it. I highly recommend this.

Pros:

Best thing ever!!! Reduced my oil production significantly, 100% acne-free at the moment. Also noticed that it took away the migraines I was having weekly.

Cons:

Sometimes produces the fish burps but I prefer that than 10 zits on my face.

It works!!!! and no harmful side effects. I have used everything else (except for acctuane) for the past 10 yrs trying to find a solution and I finally found it.

There's acctualy a twist to this. You need to know how much of omega3 you're really getting. I know that 10plus pills a day souds kind of a lot. But the truth is that the most pills (of lets say 1000mg) only contain about 20 to 50 % of actual omega 3 (and just a percentage of that amount is DHA and EPA). READ THE LABEL! You need to get around 3 to 4g of actual omega3, so if the percentage is 30 you'll need to take at least 10 pills a day. PS: try to get relatively clean omega3, because most is produced from fish living in contained waters. Also I understand it's wise to keep the level of EPA/ DHA around 3:1.

Pros:

Cleared my existing acne within the first week. Made my skin less oily and much softer. Good for memory and concentration. Overall a good supplement to take.

Cons:

Fish burps, but what's that compared to the agony of acne.

I have tried a lot of different things, and this is the only thing that has lasting results (if taken daily). I was taking fish oil religiously for a while and saw amazing results. I wasn't sure if it was the fish oil, my face wash, or my multi-vitamin, so I stopped taking the fish oil for a week just as a test and things got bad fast. I started taking the fish oil again and within a week I was almost 100% clear again. I suggest taking 2,000mg in the morning and another 2,000mg at night along with a gentle face wash and a muli-vitamin supplement.

Pros:

Worked really fast, clear my acne, unclogged pores, lightened spots.

Cons:

I've had a couple fishy burps.

I drink a shot of apple cider vinegar, take 4- 1000mg fish oil tablets and 1 multivitamin with A,C,E selenium and zinc twice a day. The acv improved my complexion alot on its own. far fewer inflamed zits- a couple every couple weeks instead of every couple days. I added the fish oil and multivitamin and redness, post-acne marks have faded in just a few days and my pores are totally clearing and shrinking. over all tone has improves a bunch. I give most credit to the fich oil. I'm very happy with the results. I don't even wash my face with soap anymore. And my skin is far less oily. I'm very happy.

Pros:

Makes your skin look very healthy. It reduces oil, but not so much that your skin dries up. Makes oil on skin feel more creamy than oily, very soft to the touch. Significantly fewer bigger zits

Cons:

Does little for blackheads, takes about a week for it to fully work.

I take between 6-8 of Carlson brand 1000mg pills a day depending on how much I eat. They can make you burp, just stick them in the freezer and you'll be fine. These in addition to Zinc daily has done more good for my complexion than any antibiotics ever did. I don't even use any benzoyl peroxide or acne face wash anymore, just plain soap. Also good overall for your body, I definately notice an increase in brain function.

Pros:

Cleared up my skin faster than anything else I've ever tried and its good for your whole body. And its cheap!

Cons:

Its kind of a big pill to swallow, but it is a gel cap and shaped to go down smoothly. (which it does)

I'm a 24 soon to be 25 year old female and I've been struggling with severe ance for 10-15 years. I have been on everything! Any cream you can think of, antibiotics, birth control, everything except accutane and nothing has helped clear up my acne completely and worked as quickly as fish oil. I only take one a day (1000mg) and I've been taking it for about a week. I've only had one new pimple, which was very small, and my acne that was there faded more and more everyday. I still wash my face every morning and night and apply a benzoil peroxide and I could not be happier! I would recommend this to everyone. Its also cheap, I bought a bottle of 100 for $5-$6.
