Pros:

ultimately smooths out skin and reduces forming spots and red marks

Cons:

I've been using this for over two months and every time I apply it there's slight but manageable irritation for a few seconds therefore only use at night

I find applying my moisturiser (simple, rich for dry skin) even though I have combination skin first to the skin to stop the dryness. I only apply the gel to my forehead, cheeks and chin because otherwise my nose and eyes get dry. Don't give up after a couple of weeks! (ive been using this for a couple of months)

Pros:

clears up most of the acne .. reduces the red iritation.

Cons:

needs abt 4 weeks to show results, u have to keep on using it every night .. gives the effect of pealing

overall its a great and affordable medication,... for better results dont forget to wash ur face well with soap.. and dry ur face well before using it. dont apply alot in one spot (read the paper in the box) .. they say that the amount that fits from the top of ur finger to the first top joint of ur finger is enough to cover ur whole face .. so distribute fairly. wash ur face well in the morning bc ur skin needs to breath ..

Pros:

Great for stopping acne cysts from growing under the skin. This product really works, the only topical treatment that ever has for me.

Cons:

Expensive to apply over large areas all the time.

This product needs to be applied sparingly a little goes a long way. Too much and it forms a skin and makes your own skin peel. Spread it quickly out of the tube before it evaporates. It should sink into the skin almost immediately, if it doesn't you have applied it too thickly. Try once a day if skin gets too dry.

Pros:

Smooth skin, blackheads dissapear and you actually notice an improvement aftert a couple of weeks. Product actually works and helps unclog skincells.

Cons:

slight stinging for the first couple of uses. has a peeling effect if you use to much so would onlt reccomend to use at night.

the first time i used this product i thought there could be no chance it would work because i literally tried everything on the market to no avail. GP reccomended this and it has been a lifesaver as after a couple of weeks people noticed a dramatic improvement in my skin. would reccomend it to everyone. AT LEAST GIVE IT A TRY... lol If your 18 or under in full time education you can get it free on the NHS ( UK only i think) otherwise it will cost £7 for a prescription item which is still considerably cheaper than some products out ther.

Pros:

Smooth skin, less black heads and spots, clears up most of the acne.

Cons:

irritating, makes skin much dry after applying

It seemed to work straight away (well within a week) with the skin appearing clearer and as other say more 'radiant'. It does however have its downsides, most significantly for me is the way it seems to dry the skin, causing unsightly flakiness if i don't apply sufficient quantities of moisturizer. but over all its better than hundreds.

Might work in the long run
I had mild to moderate acne but combination of bad life conditions and habits made it worse. I'm now suffering from moderate to severe acne. I gained weight and I was already prone to pcos. Now I'm diogonised with pcos and I started to take birth control pills. I'm not sure if it's the isotrexin or the pills but my skin is really clearing up. When I first started to use isotrexin, it didn't seem to be working. After 1-2 weeks my skin got worse. I started to have some gigantic pimples that I had rarely had before. I was so upset and I regretted starting the medication. However, after reading some reviews which say it's quite normal at the beginning, I decided to give it a go. Now it's been 3 or 4 weeks since I started to use isotrexin and I can say that there is a dramatic change in terms of acne. All the big, inflamed pimples have become smaller and it is really hard to notice them since they are beneath my skin, not close to the surface. It didn't cause so much irritation. I mean yeah it irritated somehow but it's a quite common symptom in acne topicals. There is only one downside which is the cleaning process. It takes so much time to get rid of the layer it leaves on your skin. I use a face wash called TTO and a lot of water, yet it takes almost 20 minutes to get rid of the gel on my face in the morning. Maybe I should also use a make-up cleaner for that. In conclusion it is really a good topical gel even for severe acne but you must be patient. You will probably breakout more first but it's temporary. Don't forget to apply it only on the legions and it should be a thin layer. I hope this will work for you and you will have the clear skin you are yearning for. Don't make it a big deal though. If you get obsessed with your acne, it only gets worse.
