Works for me
I do not use directly on my face. I soak in the bath for really as long as I can stand. I'm not sure if my acne is related to toxins in my body but I definitely see a major improvement in my face!! It dries out any pimple on my face and is healed by the next day. Be sure to rinse all the sweat off in a shower after so you don't reabsorb anything.

Cons:
can be messy
burns if you get it in your eyes
I use this once a week along with Retin-A and Jojoba oil/ caster oil cleansing method. My skin is looking the best it has in years!

Epsom Salt OR Baking Soda ??
Ok, so I know this is suppose to be a review, but I am really keen to find out what you guys recommend. I'm going to try and keep this as short as possible. I am 20 years old, and really struggling with some mild acne (but mostly these small irritating pimples that won't go away), especially around my jawline area. And this may be hormonal. I do have a healthy diet, water intake, exercise, etc. Birth control won't help AT ALL, neither does antibiotics. So please understand my frustration. My skin type is combination with some areas being dry. I have been researching about Epsom salt and Baking soda, and both of them sounds equally awesome. So I am actually just looking for answers regarding which one would be more beneficial for my skin. Thanks in advance! x

Pros:
leaves skin amazingly soft
less oil buildup
gets rid of acne/redness
inexpensive
Cons:
None I can think of
I tried this stuff on a whim. I had it sitting in my closet and I said what the heck. I am in my 40's dealing with hormonal acne and thyroid issues. I am currently on a regime of Dan's BP in the am and Retin A at night. My skin overall is quite good, expect for pesky acne around the hairline and on the jawline/sides of neck. These stubborn spots don't seem to respond to any type of treatment I have tried...they just seem to stay there. Well, low and behold, I take about a half teaspoon of epsom salt and mix it with my glycolic cleanser. It felt awesome on my skin and left it amazingly smooth and clean. I have less oil buildup in my T-Zone. Best of all, the little bumps are slowly going away on my hairline and neck. I am not using any other product on those areas but the glycolic cleanser mixed with the epsom salt. I am pretty impressed, to say the least. Again, I don't have severe acne or cysts, so I am not sure how this would work for that...but for my situation, it proved to be a winning product. I hope it continues working in the future.

I can't give an exact rating.. Until I know what is wrong!!
I have been trying epsom salt for a week and... I just don't feel any better on my face! I do it twice a day. Morning and night without fail. After a week, my face is pretty much the same, red spots here all over my cheeks, with a couple of extra white heads. I did notice that a very, very small part of my blackheads on my nose was gone but the main reason I'm doing this is to improve my face condition! I tried googling but no avail, everyone seems to be able to have immediate results after using epsom salt and I feel like the only one here stuck with barely any improvement at all. Could it be something which I did wrong? Or there are people out there who are not suitable to use epsom salt? Please help! Very much appreciated!

Pros:
Aids in sleep, helps remove inflammation, clears skin, soothes skin, removes pimples, etc
Cons:
drys out skin a bit.
Great product. It helps in sulfate deficiency situations and if you have a bad pimple especially inflamed pimple, even if you can't notice it much but, you feel it under the skin, dunk in a epsom salt bath. Keep yourself particularly, the spot under water. It will dry it out and unclog pores. I noticed this watching doctor oz. I found this product helpful. I had a inflamed pimple. I took the bath and it went down and away over a couple days. Repetition is key. Give it a try. A natural path said that 6months is adequate amount of time before knowing if something is really working. Its so cheap, its well worth it. Just moisturize well.

Epsom Salts
Pros:
cheap
After years of trying everything you can imagine for my mild/moderate acne, I came across an online site that promoted Epsom Salts for acne. I decided to give it a try, its not like I had anything to lose at this point. I have been using Epsom Salts for my acne for about 3 days now and I can already see the difference. I have oily skin so I can tell immediately. The acne that i had under the skin have now come to a head in about a day. What I do is put about a handful of epsom salts in a tupperware container and add just a little bit of water and put it on my face as best as i can.

Works, but no magic cure
Pros:
Cheap
Effective
Natural
Cons:
Takes time and commitment
Epsom Salts alone are not enough, it needs to go hand in hand with diet changes
Skin looks red immediately after mask
I noticed that my skin cleared up dramatically when I went to the Salar de Uyuni (Salt desert) in Bolivia and, to some extent, improved every time I went to the seaside. I figured it must be the sun and/or the sea salt. Having read reviews here, I recently started using Epsom Salts on my face (I mix 2 parts water :1 part salt while also adding some crystals to wet skin, and rinse it off after an hour or so). It does work, but I need to moisturise my skin with sweet almond oil, vitamin E oil and/or rosehip oil afterwards. I used tea tree oil in the past, which has worked, and wearing sun screen every single day is key to not make acne and hyperpigmentation worse. Epsom Salts don't do anything for my scars and hyperpigmentation, or at least it haven't so far. They do work, though. I got lazy over the past two weeks and my acne has come back. In a nutshell, Epsom Salts are not THE magic cure. I still need to watch my diet - strictly no meat, no dairy, very little or no sugar, as little processed food as possible. Zinc supplements have helped me. Overall, I feel the change in diet has made the biggest improvement of all.
Pros:
exfoliates great
