Cons:
none!
I have used epsom salt masks on both my face and back for well over a year. I use it both day and night and it prevents breakouts, clears pores and reduces redness. I usually mix it with a gentle cleanser like baby soap and let the granules dissolve before applying. Don't scrub, there isn't any need. It will do its job! :)

Works for me
I do not use directly on my face. I soak in the bath for really as long as I can stand. I'm not sure if my acne is related to toxins in my body but I definitely see a major improvement in my face!! It dries out any pimple on my face and is healed by the next day. Be sure to rinse all the sweat off in a shower after so you don't reabsorb anything.

I use this once a week along with Retin-A and Jojoba oil/ caster oil cleansing method. My skin is looking the best it has in years!

Pros:
leaves skin amazingly soft
less oil buildup
gets rid of acne/redness
inexpensive
Cons:
None I can think of
I tried this stuff on a whim. I had it sitting in my closet and I said what the heck. I am in my 40's dealing with hormonal acne and thyroid issues. I am currently on a regime of Dan's BP in the am and Retin A at night. My skin overall is quite good, expect for pesky acne around the hairline and on the jawline/sides of neck. These stubborn spots don't seem to respond to any type of treatment I have tried...they just seem to stay there. Well, low and behold, I take about a half teaspoon of epsom salt and mix it with my glycolic cleanser. It felt awesome on my skin and left it amazingly smooth and clean. I have less oil buildup in my T-Zone. Best of all, the little bumps are slowly going away on my hairline and neck. I am not using any other product on those areas but the glycolic cleanser mixed with the epsom salt. I am pretty impressed, to say the least. Again, I don't have severe acne or cysts, so I am not sure how this would work for that...but for my situation, it proved to be a winning product. I hope it continues working in the future.

Pros:
Aids in sleep, helps remove inflammation, clears skin, soothes skin, removes pimples, etc
Cons:
drys out skin a bit.
Great product. It helps in sulfate deficiency situations and if you have a bad pimple especially inflamed pimple, even if you can't notice it much but, you feel it under the skin, dunk in a epsom salt bath. Keep yourself particularly, the spot under water. It will dry it out and unclog pores. I noticed this watching doctor oz. I found this product helpful. I had a inflamed pimple. I took the bath and it went down and away over a couple days. Repetition is key. Give it a try. A natural path said that 6months is adequate amount of time before knowing if something is really working. Its so cheap, its well worth it. Just moisturize well.

Epsom Salts
Pros:
cheap
After years of trying everything you can imagine for my mild/moderate acne, I came across an online site that promoted Epsom Salts for acne. I decided to give it a try, its not like I had anything to lose at this point. I have been using Epsom Salts for my acne for about 3 days now and I can already see the difference. I have oily skin so I can tell immediately. The acne that i had under the skin have now come to a head in about a day. What I do is put about a handful of epsom salts in a tupperware container and add just a little bit of water and put it on my face as best as i can.

Healing my acne after only 4 days
So I've used this twice as a scrub mixed with hemp seed oil, and I've been using it twice daily as a spot treatment just dissolved in water. I have really dry skin and I'm in my 20s and no other acne treatments have been working for me, but this is already healing my acne after only 4 days. It looks like my pimples are just fading away. Since the Epsom salt leaves a white residue on your face I wash it off after as long as I can wait in the morning and I leave it on overnight. I really recommend trying it. Unless you're allergic to Epsom salt, it's pretty harmless to try.

Acne
I started using it as a kind of a mask while waiting for my regimen in the mail and it really decreased the redness and shrinked it.
