Pros:

reduces pimples and marks
helps to minimize wrinkles
Skin feels smoother/softer and looks brighter.

Cons:

increase in pimples over the first week or so

I'd used this for a couple of years as part of a regimen - salacylic acid wash in the am, followed by a light Benzoyl Peroxide coating or spot treatment as needed. At night another sal acid wash then the Alpha Hydrox. After a while, I thought my skin had cleared up, so I stopped. Big mistake. I'm going to order more of this product and start up again. There is a BIG difference.

Pros:

Keeps acne under control... helps shrink new pimples faster... a little goes a long way. Helps with clearing dry skin and making skin tone even and smooth!

Cons:

Stings a bit- do not apply too much or too often. Work up slow. A little runny- if you apply too much, you will look oily.

I used this before with the Regimen (BP) and it worked wonderfully. I had stopped for about 2 years and my skin started breaking out again. I am going to be using this again but not with the BP Regimen- instead I am going to wash less and just use mainly this AHA lotion instead of piling on too many items at once. Hope it works- Update in a few weeks...

Pros:

Easy to use, affordable, you can order it right from their own website.

Cons:

None

I have been using this product for years (at least 10) for adult acne. I am 51 years old and am told all the time I don't look a day over 30. This product not only keeps your face clear and glowing, it helps prevent aging!

Pros:

This is a great product. I noticed results within two weeks of nightly application. My skin is smoother and seems to glow. It really helps to exfoliate my skin. I love it and I use this everyday after my benzoyl peroxide treatment gel.

Cons:

If you use too much then there is a burning sensation. But it usually goes away. I think you have to build up a tolerance for this product so don't use too much at once.

Give it a try. It's affordable and the bottle will last you a long time. It's been 4 months and I still haven't finished half the bottle.

Pros:

clears clogged pores, way less drying/peeling vs. salicylic acid, helps preserve acid mantle of skin

Cons:

can be a little drying in sensitive areas of the face (near mouth. Use more sparingly, less frequently here.

My skin just feels better when I use this! I am not clear yet, but this is really helping. My primary problem is clogged pores, so applying this on my face FIRST, prior to spot treating with BP, seems to work better than doing BP first. I also apply sunscreen/moisturizer afterwards. I have also used Lac-Hydrin 5, and that is milder AHA than this, but the lotion is also heavier which I don't like as much but it can be helpful when you want a little extra moisturizing. This product works much much better than salicylic acid for me because it is less drying. When I used salicylic, my face peeled a lot and spots took a loooong time to fade. I also want to try Alpha Hydrox's lightening lotion, which contains both AHA and hydroquinone to fade brown spots.

Pros:

Smoothes out skin, eliminates blackheads, tightens pores. I've used for years and years.

Cons:

It is hard to find. Everytime I find a new source, they eventually stop carrying it.

Dove and Alpha Hydroxy Lotion are all it takes for me to have nice skin. Simple.

Pros:

My skin looks and feels great, and this stuff is easy to use and moisturizing.

Cons:

Hard to find.

I've had only one new pimple in the last two months (after years of bad skin), and my red marks are clearing up nicely. I used to think I had oily skin and needed to use harsh products and wash a lot...then I just got fed up, and started using nothing but this product...I noticed a difference after two days and I haven't broken out since I started using it. If BP seems to be making your skin worse, try this instead...you may be aggrevating your acne like I was.
