Pros:

- Visibly reduces redness
- Shortens duration of healing
- Smooths skin

Cons:

- Time consuming

I discovered this remedy through a friend and am so glad! My skin is extremely broken out right now, but also acting very sensitive so it's hard to find the right balance of treatments for it. I've been doing a treatment several times per week - first the egg white, then the egg yolk. If I'm short on time I do just the egg yolk. I find it easiest to wash off the dried egg yolk in a warm-to-hot shower with the help of a soft washcloth. I let my face soak under the shower spray for a minute and then begin gently wiping the egg off. It helps reduce the size and redness of the larger bumps and seems to be helping the scars heal faster, too. TIP: Use a small paintbrush to apply the egg to your face. Much less messy! I wash my brush on the top rack of the dishwasher after each use. Got mine in the paint section at Wal Mart for a dollar.

Pros:

Tightens pores, evens out skin texture and tone, reduces redness, lightens the skin. Minimizes redness and size of pimples.

Cons:

It's irritating after it dries, but it's worth the wait.

I love it, the anticipation is worth it. It's irritating. But who cares. People comment on my skin all the time, who would have ever thought that the captain of the football team wears masks? I reccomend this to anyone.

Wow!
i seriously never review anything online- I read reviews all day and night but I never actually post them on my own. This mask actually worked very well for me after one use! Let me give you some background on me: I am 19 years old and I have struggled with very painful acne since I was about 14 or 15. I typically only break out on my forehead and get very painful cysts/whiteheads in between my eyebrows- it's awful. In the past year or so, I've also started to break out on my chin with the same kind of painful cysts. I've never had acne that didn't hurt like hell. I have tried everything from harsh chemical treatments like Proactiv when I was younger to gentle cleansers to even just using water and coconut oil(which worked the best for a while). I have pretty oily skin as well. I've put every ingredient, fruit, vegetable, oil, etc on my skin that you could imagine. In the past couple of weeks, I started birth control that is supposed to help with acne, but this week it is much worse than ever. Last night I had horrible, painful acne all between my eyebrows and I decided to try to egg white treatment on a whim. I took a shower and soaked my acne in a hot compress for about 10 minutes, then I got out and washed my face. I separated the yolk from the egg and took my egg white into the bathroom. I folded a piece of toilet tissue, dipped it into the egg white and started to spread it over only my acne. I decided not to do it on the rest of the face because I didn't want it to break me out in any other places if I had adverse side effects. I left it on my skin for about 25 minutes, then I washed it off with lukewarm water. It did begin to feel itchy at the end, but nothing unbearable. Immediately after, my skin looked way less red then it did before. This morning I woke up and the pain was practically gone! Now the pimples are still there, but much less noticeable and much less painful. I'm going to try the mask one more time tonight and see what happens tomorrow! My face is also GLOWING! Despite my pimples I didn't even want to put on makeup today because my face felt very fresh. Try this out! Nothing has ever given me real results with the exception of raw honey. I can't want to try this mixed with the honey. Give it a try! :)

Pros:

actually works on acne
makes skin look more even
reduces redness and inflammation

Cons:

a bit time consuming

If you've tried everything on the planet, then try this for your skin. After ProActiv, Neutrogena, Cetaphil, and St. Ives failed for me, I tried this. After two weeks of using it, my face was the clearest it has ever been. I actually could go outside without makeup on and I still looked great! I stopped the next week and of course, my period came and along with it some fresh new zits. But the egg mask is already helping out with those! It's easy and cheap. You can add honey to the egg whites if your skin gets too dried out.

Pros:

Can feel pores tightened
bumps and pimples are dramatically smaller in size/flatter
skin is A LOT MORE RADIANT AND BRIGHT
skin is SO MUCH SOFTER

Cons:

none except that i wish i knew about this earlier!
only drying on the pimples, but nowhere else. nothing a little moisturizer can't fix.

-Do not leave it on too long (only 15-20 mins) or else it'll have bad results! -after the yolk is dried, its like leather on your face -when you rinse the egg white off, you can actually feel a difference that your skin is so much softer, REALLY SOFT -your skin is more radiant, pimples and cystic acne are much flatter --TRY IT. there's nothing to lose, it's just 30 mins of your time just one night and see if it works literally only 30 mins total for the egg yolk/white. and just do it when your in your room at night if you don't want anyone to see and just do something in your spare time! 30 mins is worth it! :) ...btw, i have really horrible, bumpy rough (pretty severe) acne/oily skin but after doing this my skin has never felt this SOFT before. when i say it's soft when you rinse off the egg white, i mean, IT'S REALLY SOFT n SMOOTH! and your pimples are smaller and flatter, please try it!

Works wonders for blackheads
Started using this about 2 months ago. I have millions of clogged pores that finally turned into blackheads. I used the body shop seaweed clay mask, however it was SOOOOO harsh and gave me hives. I then got a facial from the lady that does my eyebrows and she steamed my face and used this. the next morning my blackheads turned into tiny pimples and my pores were smaller + my skin was soooo smooth. I have been using this for the past 2 months and i would say my skin is sooooo smooth. Still have blackheads but with this it usually extracts themselves. This is drying, so make sure you use a moisturiser afterwards. Works best after steaming face.

How long do I have to leave it on my face?
November 6, 2015
@oyinkan98 you can use it until it dries up. I use it for 15min, i've never gone over. You will know when to wash it off because it will harden like clay masks.

A MUST READ FOR YOU GUYS WHO WANTED CLEAR SKIN
Hello! I've been suffering from acne since I was 11 years old and that affected my confidence, I rarely go out of our house because I was so embarrassed of what my face looks like. I have tried many products but none of it really cleared up my skin. So my major breakout was when I was 14-15 years old (I'm 16 now, btw) and I was so desperate to clear and cure my acne because it really sucks having those bumps and puss on your face. :'( And then finally!!! MY FACE CLEARED UP. What I did was to use Sulfur soap (Dr. Wongs Sulfur soap) which works slowly but it really is effective if you are patient then after patting my face dry, I'll put Eskinol and I'll mix Dalacin-c, I'll use that before I go to bed. DON'T use this treatment when going out under the sun because it might burn your face. and don't use this treatment for too long because the dalacin-c will no longer be effective because it is an antibiotic. BUT IT IS REALLY EFFECTIVE, YOU CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE TWO WEEKS AFTER USING IT. I am also using baking soda twice a week and/or Egg yolk mask. this routine cleared up my skin. But just this March I started breaking out again, not that bad tho but it won't stop so I have acne marks again on my skin which really frustrates me a lot. So what I did this time was different, I am putting honey in my face and rub it in circular motion and after a minute or two I'll wash it and then I bought Cetaphil facial cleanser and wash my face with the cleanser, after that, I'll use Apple cider vinegar as a toner (Diluted 50% water, 50% acv) and when my face absorbed the toner I then put Palmer's cocoa butter Skin Therapy Oil for my acne marks or hyperpigmentation and after that I'll put Petroleum Jelly for the dry patches on my skin because my skin is Combination. I noticed the change on my face after 2 or 3 days. I am doing this twice a day, morning and night. It never broke me out. Ever. Now I'm just waiting for my pimple marks to fade. I'm so happy with the condition of my skin right now and I gained my confidence back. Stick to natural methods. It will do miracle. =)) I am planning to buy another box of baking soda because it's doing its job well on fading my marks and preventing pimples from coming out. I am also doing Oatmeal + Honey + Tea face mask or Turmeric + Honey face mask once a week. I also exfoliate using Oatmeal only once or twice a week. I tried exfoliating with sugar but I broke out after using it, I thought that's not the cause so the following week I used that again but sadly, I broke out again after that so I changed to oatmeal. It leaves my skin soft. I also drink tea (green or black). I also tried drinking ACV, a cup of water + 1 tsp of ACV, in empty stomach before. It really did its job. I noticed dramatic changes 2 or 3 days after :) and drink lots of water. It really helps. Occasionally, I rub banana peels on my face before I wash my face whenever there is banana available on our kitchen. Hahaha. I also tried using Defensil, it's so good!!! But I decided to use the Cetaphil instead. But you can use Defensil also because it really dried up my pimples. :) So yea, guys, you might wanna try those routines that I did because I can vouch for its effectiveness. :) God bless and don't give up! You guys can fight those suckers. :)
