Pros:

Light and doesn't sting

Cons:

makes face a little greasy

I have mild to moderate acne so I use ziana along with soldyn. Acne treatments dry out my skin since it is so sensitive. My face use to get so dry; it flaked and looked gross underneath my makeup. Now I use this along with purpose face wash and it works wonders! My face is so smooth and NOT DRY for the first time since I can't even remember! I love it and would recomend it to anyone who has dry, sensitive skin.

Pros:

Great winter moisturizer
Relatively Lightweight
Doesn't clog pores (for me, however it has comedogenic ingredients such as Glyceral Stearate)
Absobrs Very Quickly
Controls Flakes

Cons:

Can not be used with benzoyl peroxide
Smells like sunscreen
Too Greasy for people with oily skin

I would recommend this product to people with combination skin that are looking for an adequate moisturizer to use during the winter. However, DO NOT use this if you medicate acne with benzoyl peroxide. It burns like mad, and makes my face red. It works fine with most Retinols, however.

Pros:

Does Not break me out, has SPF, makes me have a "glow", and very affordable!

Cons:

I have none!

Finally I have found a moisturizer that I can stick with. This product does not break me out ( and my face is very sensitive to different lotions). I Wash first with the Purpose Gentle Face wash and then use this lotion and my face feels great! It gives my face that "glow"! Applying the lotion and then applying my powder makeup gives me that dewy Matte look... I love it!!

Pros:

For a med-high grade SPF 15 Moisturizer it is a good price.

Works with Dan's Regimen... in a way (read below).

Cons:

You have to wait at least an hour after applying BP or the moisturizer will clump.

I couldn't see this helping someone with dry skin, but for everyone else on a modified version of Dan's Regimen, this should work.

If you use Dan's Regimen, but spend a lot of time outdoors, his moisturizer might not work for you. If you need a moisturizer that has SPF, I'd recommend "Neutrogena Moisture Oil Free Formula, SPF 15," but to save a few dollars, "Purpose" is a good substitute. 1 tip to help application, make sure your hands are slightly moist with water when applying.

Cons:

not enough moisturizing (especially important if you use Benzoyl peroxide). Seems to leave a chalky colour on the face. Doesn't act like a good base for makeup.

This is actually quite a shame because i LOVE the purpose gentle cleanser its the best i've ever used. However this moisturizer is so gross. I have 3 different moisturizers at home and this is the worst. It doesn't spread well- it dries really fast and leaves a whitish hue. It barely does its job with moisturizing. In fact, when i put my makeup over it, it was so patchy and exaggerated the dry patches. I would never ever recommend this to people with dry-combo skin(from using BP), and to women who wear powdered makeup. Its honestly a waste of money, trust me.

Pros:

really light weight

Cons:

leaves a little shine

This was the lotion my first dermatologist recommended to me when I went to her when I was in 7th grade. Nothing like being taller than all the boys, wearing big glasses, a mouth full of braces and a red pimply face. I used it for about 8 years before branching out. It's still the ol' standby for 12+ years. For those worried about people complaining of "burning" make sure you do not get the kind with Alpha Hydroxy - that is the burning stuff.

Pros:

Fragrance free, oil free, noncomedogenic, SPF 15, moisturizes well, not too heavy, convenient pump, gentle

I have dry skin, but I don't like moisturizers that feel heavy on my skin. Purpose's Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion absorbs quickly, but hydrates my skin well enough so I don't get flaky. It makes my skin INCREDIBLY smooth. I've never broken out from it, either. Even though it's fragrance free (meaning there is no added fragrance), it does have a scent that is reminiscent of sunblock.

Pros:

Lightweight, little bit goes a long way, does not make my skin greasy or break out, no fragrance, easy to "lock" for travel purposes

Cons:

A bit pricey, does not need to be sold in a box (excess packaging)

I have finally found my perfect moisturizer! I have normal to oily skin. I had trouble finding a moisturizer that was oil free, had SPF 15 and didnt make my shiny. I tried Cetaphil SPF 15 (made me VERY greasy) and Eucerin Q10 SPF 15 (not bad but this is way better). I imagine if you have dry skin that this might not moisturize as much as you need, but if you have oily or normal skin that doesnt need tons of moisture and are looking for something with and SPF and is lightweight, this is it! Love it, love it, love it! Using in combo with Purpose cleanser. Together are a great combo.

Pros:

no pros

Cons:

This stuff caused a rash all around my eyes, made my eyelids and below my eyes swell and stings and itches like the dickens. I threw it in the trash and will inform my dermatologist who gave me these "free" (thanks for nothing) samples. Don't use it!

Do not use this at all unless you just get a kick out of flirting with misery! I have dark pink rashy circles all the way around my eyes! I have been miserable!

Works great for me
I have been using Purpose face moisturizer since I was a teen and my dermatologist recommended it for my skin type. I have never had a problem with it in all these years, approx. 20, with any changes in formula and all. It never breaks me out (which was the whole "purpose" of using it back then) nor does it feel greasy to me but I have more combination skin than dry. Fragrance and dye free is a plus. I have tried some of the touted anti-aging lotions for fine lines etc. but think I will just stick with Purpose. Those others did not make a marked difference nor did they feel good on my skin.
