Pros:

Does what a cleanser is meant to do..

Cons:

None

Been using this for around two years! I'll never change cleansers. No need to do so. Cleans my face, removes make up pretty well, doesn't sting if you get some in your eyes. Great product!

Pros:

Face is not drying out. takes makeup off, low lather, rinses clean. Price is reasonable. Should last a while for the amount needed to wash my face, twice daily.

Cons:

none

I am 55 years old, menopause has effected my face, acne and dark spots. I have only been using this a month and have noticed a remarkable difference in my skin and have not had a pimple since I started using it. Just bought cetaphil uva/uvb defense spf 50. I am anxious to see how this works too.

Pros:

Overall balances skin
Reduces oil by 85%
Calms the skin
GREAT CLEANSER!!!

Cons:

None

this is by far the best cleanser I have ever used. Being in the cosmetic industry I have tries everything....dealing with acne in your 30's not so fun! Shouldn't I have dealt with this at 15? Cetaphil cleared my skin. As a moisturizer since at 30 we should focus on anti aging products also the "moisture surge" from clinique is amazing its oil free, fragrance free, and won't clog your pores it also calms the skin and feels like velvet and plums fine lines .....BONUS! Also its hard to find but natures cure vanishing cream is awesome its 5% BP however it has aloe vera & alotonin also its gel bases so it dries clear....good luck .....I'm sticking with the cetaphil!

Pros:

- gentle
- doesn't over dry
- gets makeup off well

Cons:

none?

I was skeptical to buy a face wash from CVS when I'm use to spending a lot more money on face washes from Sephora. I wish I had switched earlier. Sure it's a little expensive for something you buy at the drug store but it's super gentle and I think it works the best out of any face wash I've used. It leaves my face feeling soft and doesn't over-dry at all. I find my make up goes on better since using this, probably because it's not drying.

Pros:

Cleans without drying
Doesn't leave an oily film or layer on my skin
Reduces irritation
I like the smell:)

Cons:

None so far

I am using this cleanser as part of the acne.org regimen and was suprised. I am used to using harsher cleansers and thought my skin would break out from using such a mild cleanser but instead the oil production of my skin seems to have lessened and my skin isn't so red and blotchy. I joke that I am a natural greaseball as my skin is always oily and shiny but from the second day I saw a noticeable difference in the amount of oil my skin produced, if fact I don't even have to wear powder makeup to help control the shine. I am amazed, I have only been using this product for a week and 1/2 but so far am very happy with the results. As stated I am using this as part of the acne.org regimen so it might be the combination of this cleanser and the 2.5% BP but so far so good. I am still breaking out but the pimples aren't near as inflamed and seem to be healing better on the regimen so I am going to continue with this cleanser and the 2.5% BP. I suffer from adult and hormonal acne (I am 34 yrs old) and this seems to be helping calm my usually angry skin. I also want to note that though the regimen calls for a moisturizer be applied to the whole face I am only using one lightly in flaky areas where needed (the BP can cause some dryness but for me it has been very mild). I wouldn't say that this cleanser gets rid of acne but I believe that is has helped calm my skin and decrease the oil production. I think I was washing too much and with the wrong cleansers.

Pros:

Gentle
No harsh detergents
Doesn't strip skin of moisture
Comes in different sizes
Does not break me out

Cons:

None

I have been using this cleanser for 2 years faithfully. I mean, I never switch. This cleanser does a better job of cleansing my skin after 12 hour shift (with light makeup) than products that I have paid $30 a bottle for. It does not lather, but it gets my skin nice and clean without making it feel tight. This cleasner does not have a fragrance, so it smells a little blah. I sweep on a glycolic acid based toner afterward, very gently. No makeup or dirt comes off on the cotton ball. Then I use Salicylic acid gel for exfoliation, followed by 2.5% BP gel as a spot treatment for the occasional pimple or 2. Then I use the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. The reason I mention this moisturizer specifically is that it is the only moisturizer I have ever used that doesn't break me out or make my face burn. Then I use Elta MD oil free sunscreen 40 which is also super gentle and non greasy. Hope this helps.

Pros:

- so gentle on the skin
- softens the face
- improves scarring
- controls oil throughout the day
- effective cleanser

Cons:

- some dislike the smell, but it doesn't bother me

Wow. This product pleasantly surprised me. I've passed it up so many times, but it has finally found its way into my cabinet, and I'm happy I gave it a shot. My acne has been out of control for numerous years. I've tried a lot of harsh, medicated cleansers that only amplified the problem and caused my face to kick into oil production overdrive. Finally, I decided to dump the harsh products and change my strategy. I heard about Cetaphil's cleansers and went out and got this bottle (it was the last one too!). In just a week, I've seen more improvement in my face than I've seen with other products I've used for months. My face feels so soft after using it, and my skin is fresh and clean feeling without being dry and irritated. My acne has improved significantly (though I use other products specifically for that). My complexion has brightened and my scars are softening. My face is also much less oily though out the day. This product will not lather, but that is because it doesn't have harsh sulfates it it. It doesn't have to lather to clean your face. The smell is a little strong, but it isn't an overpowering odor. Besides, when a product works so well, smell is pretty irrelevant to me. It also may seem a little pricey, but you get 16 ounces for about $11.00, and it goes a long way. I will continue to use this product. It's a great basic cleanser and actually improves your skin as a whole, instead of targeting only acne and damaging the rest in the process. I would recommend this as a good addition to your skin care routine.
