Pros:

Less irritating than benzoyl peroxide, salicylic, or retinol

Cons:

Cannot wear during the day (tinted orange color)
Sulfur smell

Tinted creams are usually sulfur product and I like them because they are far less irritating on my skin than using benzoyl or salicylic. After about two weeks of using i noticed a dramatic difference in breakouts. My skin looked more even and less red. The only downfall about this product is that you cannot wear it during the day under makeup because it is too 'cakey looking. Also, when trying to wash this product off it is hard to scrub it completely off. When i use a toner to get all my makeup off there is always traces of this treatment cream left on. With all that aside, I think it is a pretty solid over the counter product with sulfur and resorcinol.

Pros:

Smells like baby wipes, :).
Helps bring down the acne.
Easy to find.
Recommended from my doctor.

Cons:

Didnt bring down acne for about 1 week.
Leaves orange markings when dry.
Stiffens face.

Its great. Im still using it, but ive had it for about 1 week now. My acne isn't totally gone but there was a dramatic decrease of how almost invisible it has became. I has lots of acne on my forehead and now its faintly shrinking. I also recommend putting it on before bed, then going to bed WITH it on. When i wake up i wash my face and get it off, and i do the whole method of warm water and soap. Thennnn i just repeat the cycle. Its been working surprisingly good. My doctor recommended it to me, and she told my other facial scrubs are a no no. She said this shrinks pimples and helps her too! Good luck, hope it helps!

Pros:

works well on all types of acne, keeps my skin smooth and helps prevent new acne

Cons:

slightly pungent smell

I've spent a good 15 years on what seemed like a never-ending quest for clear skin. I've tried everything out there sparing no expense whatsoever (ie. MD prescribed topical/oral antibiotics, over-the-counter treatments, and even accutane!). Since my skin gets irritated by salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide has absolutely no effect on my adult acne, I recently bought this Clearasil adult acne cream as a last ditch effort. I found that using the cream (right after a good 3 minute lather with Noxzema Triple Clean Anti-Bacterial Cleanser) gives me heaven-sent results!! For the first time in years, the little bumps on my face are disappearing! This combination has personally worked out lovely for me :)

Pros:

Seems to work really well and does blend well with my skin tone.

Cons:

Not too fond of the smell, but can live with it for the results!

I haven't used it long enough to know if it will eliminate future breakouts, but so far so good and VERY inexpensive!!

Pros:

EFFECTIVE. Cant emphasis this enough.
Cheap.
Covers up acne so you dont have to look at it, even if it does look stupid having orange marks everywhere.
I actually like the smell.
Easy to find.

Cons:

ITCHY D:
Looks stupid having orange marks everywhere, ha.
Stains towels, but hey, just use paper towels.

Even though Dan's regimen recommends BP, I actually find sulfur to work ten times better. It's also been used FOREVER; dating back to the Romans, apparently. Usually I really dislike Clearasil (Vanishing Cream sucks, man), but this stuff is incredible. I put it on for 6 hours and already my acne is waay down. And unlike all the reviews that say it's nasty, I actually think it smells like roses. The one downside is that it really, really itches. Im really scared of getting impetigo, so Im constantly freaking out, wondering if Im going to get impetigo or if it's just my skin itching. Whatever. I can sacrifice itchy skin for not having acne. Dont let the term 'adult care' discourage you, either. Im not really sure why it says that .___. It works great on all types of acne. Go out and get this stuff!

Pros:

This is the only product that works well for me. Salycilic Acid and Benzoil Peroxide do absolutely nothing!

Cons:

I have a hard time finding it in my area. The tint is a little dark but I put it on about 5 minutes before applying moisturizer and that smooths out the tint.

Prefer this to anything else.

Pros:

it does seem to be working, consistant

Cons:

the smell is kinda nasty but other people cant smell it, everyone saying the tint is dark.. but for me its light and im not even that dark.. if guys use it, it might look like makeup. and finally it doesn't say how long to keep the stuff on for

Give it a try.. it just might work for you

Pros:

This is the only thing that works on my adult acne (I'm in my 40s). I can't use anything with benzoyl peroxide and I have very sensitive skin. This is an effective treatment that doesn't irritate my skin.

Cons:

Smells pretty bad. The tint is too dark for my skin and doesn't lighten much when dry, so it can look like poison ivy lotion. I only use it at bedtime or for spot treatment. the creamy paste texture can dry crusty if applied too thickly.

It's great stuff if you can find it. I have a terrible time locating this in stores and online. I also wish it came in a vanishing formula as it did years ago. If you can tolerate the smell, it's a wonderful product that doesn't irritate sensitive skin the way benzoyl peroxide does. I love it.

Pros:

works well, a good alternative to benzoyl peroxide

Cons:

smells...pretty bad, not in a stinky garbage way, but a really ugly perfume. not unbearable, but hope it could be fixed

The vanishing ones don't quite...vanish. there is still a tint..but over all.good enough.
