Cons:
I can't apply makeup on top. It leaves the face greasy for a few hours.
I can't believe I didn't know about this before! It is almost like a miracle. I have tried it all and this makes my skin just glow and look so flawless. I have only been using it fir a few days, so I hope it lasts, but wow it worked so quickly for me. I have also started using lavendar essential oil as a spot treatment underneath this. Great! I usually use lots of expensive products, but this may end all that; here's hoping! I'm using food grade, organic, expeller pressed, virgin coconut oil from whole foods.

Pros:
Loosened up acne deep in the skin.
Softer skin.
Cons:
Cannot stop using daily or you will break out again.
Does not stop acne from springing up.
I started this regiment a full year ago with moderate acne. I had problems with my t-zone and had begun forming nodule pimples around my cheek area.
Initially, the acne got horribly visible as all of the deep acne from years of dry skin started loosening up and surfacing. I had a pimple that I hadn't gotten all of when I was 13 resurface. After the initial "purging" I noticed an immediate change in my skin.
My skin was no longer red and blotchy from picking or using salacylic acid treatments and acne was very minimal and they would surface and go away within a few days.
Here we are a year later. I do see now that you MUST continue the treatment or your skin will go back to that previous state. In my opinion (not a doctor) I believe the coconut oil just moisturizes your face and thus loosens up the acne before it can get too bad.
Is this an end to all of your worries about acne? No
Is this a good way to prevent acne from accumulating? Yes.

I recommend (so far)
I started this by using it to remove my makeup, and I did see an immediate improvement, but now I wash my face with face wash and then apply it as a moisturizer at night. my face looks greasy but i don't mind because im not around anyone at night anyways. I started this about 3-4 weeks ago. I feel like it really is helping! Ive had moderate (and sometimes severe) acne on my forehead for the last 6 years and so far this is the best luck I have had! I defnitely say it is worth a shot. A little goes a long way! Good luck!

Pros:
Seems to disinfect blemishes and take away imflammation
Cons:
A few occasional tiny whiteheads if I leave my face sopping with oil before bed
Has not affected my face negatively like I feared. Instead, I have seen a decrease in blemishes. Not immediately extraordinary, but I'd favor consistency any day. I think coconut oil provides a good balance between acne-fighting and moisturizing, as it doesn't dry my entire face but there is some minor flaking around problem areas (not a con for me). Since I've been using this I've had no abnormally large, cyst-like erruptions but I've had a few whiteheads. However, the oil calms the whiteheads so I'm cool with it. I don't even use the expensive brand! What I have is a cheap version from an ethnic market that doesn't even smell like coconut. After washing my face at night I'll apply some, wait a while, and rinse off the excess. I even use this in addition to Noxema (that oily "crap" everyone complains about if you don't already know) and the two oily products don't interact negatively. I would recommend this. If you don't like it, throw it away. Or give it to a friend with acne, better yet.

Might have cause a moderate bump or two, but won't stop using.
Until I found an alternative of course. But really, it is just.. wonderful. Made my skin soft and smooth, glowing and porcelain-like. Really, really huuuge improvement for my skin after using this and my friend even asked me if I had done a facial. Oil production is also decreased significantly, but not completely. It gives my skin a dewy complexion, which is a plus because I'm not a matte-look fan. I don't know why, but my under-eye wrinkles are less obvious. This might be a product of something else, IDK. Just telling you guys. And yeah.. Like other people said, coconut oil does break me out. It gave me one or two moderate bumps. You know, the kind of acne that isn't cystic but isn't mild either? Like a red spot? Yeah.. But that might be because I excitingly applies it 3 times a day and just wipe it off with a dry towel :P . So use sparingly guys.

good
I has started using it instead of shaving cream as I kept getting a shaving rash - I m loving it. The best thing about coconut oil is that's it's all natural - no chemicals or preservatives. I will always use coconut oil!

discipline required
My particular brand of coconut oil has a line on it saying "Take one tablespoon per day or as instructed by your practitioner" which is how I discovered that I love eating coconut oil so much I have literally eaten it until I've been sick. I can't open the jar without eating it. This is bad because it is essentially a jar of fat. It's a pretty good moisturizer but too oily for my hair. Also it's delicious. Time will yet tell if it's any good (internally or not) for clearing/preventing acne

Pros:
smells delicious :)
makes skin smooth
healthy when taken internally
Cons:
small break out
a little heavy
I got NOW Foods Organic Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil as a moisturizer. I'd been using aloe before. It worked well, but it wasn't really moisturizing, so I decided to combine a little aloe with coconut oil. I was extremely nervous about putting oil on my face, so just used a little. It made my face pretty smooth, but I noticed a few clogged pores after a while. Maybe those were just deep ones that had been brought to the surface, because I know it does that, but I didn't want to take a chance. I stopped putting it on my skin, but I do still put some (probably about a tablespoon) on whole grain toast every day. Tastes great!! I smells like coconut, but it actually doesn't have a strong flavor. If you're thinking about taking this internally but don't like the coconutty flavor, this is a good one. My skin has been pretty under control with this as a supplement. I really like this stuff :)
