Pros:

Great replacement for body lotion, and has mildly improved the keritosis pilaris on my upper arms.

Cons:

Not good on face for some people- can clog pores and causes breakouts.

PEOPLE WITH SMALL PORES: DO NOT USE COCONUT OIL ON YOUR FACE! I started using it a year ago; has been great for body, but made my whole face break out. People with larger pores can benefit, but people with small pores should not use thick oils on the face, because the molecules are too large. Try Jojoba and tea tree oils.

Pros:

smells delicious :)
makes skin smooth
healthy when taken internally

Cons:

small break out
a little heavy

I got NOW Foods Organic Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil as a moisturizer. I'd been using aloe before. It worked well, but it wasn't really moisturizing, so I decided to combine a little aloe with coconut oil. I was extremely nervous about putting oil on my face, so just used a little. It made my face pretty smooth, but I noticed a few clogged pores after a while. Maybe those were just deep ones that had been brought to the surface, because I know it does that, but I didn't want to take a chance. I stopped putting it on my skin, but I do still put some (probably about a tablespoon) on whole grain toast every day. Tastes great!! I smells like coconut, but it actually doesn't have a strong flavor. If you're thinking about taking this internally but don't like the coconutty flavor, this is a good one. My skin has been pretty under control with this as a supplement. I really like this stuff :)

Pros:

Cheap feels great to put on.

Cons:

Tastes disgusting!!

Ive only been using this for 3 days now and i can definatley see some improvement. I apply it during the day when i get home and once before i go to bed. I also consume 2 tablespoons of coconut oil orally. I still have alot of scarring on my cheeks and would like to know if coconut oil will help clear this.

Pros:

tames acne but doesnt dry it out
good moisturizer esp during winter
glow the next day
a little goes a long way

Cons:

not to be used during summer
stinks on bedsheets / pillowcases
smell of an old folk
tend to feel heavy

this is good for those with mild acne and dry skin. with my experience on coco oil, it doesnt totally heal acne but tames it. it is a good moisturizer that leaves a glow in the face the next day.

worked for a week
I used coconut oil for 3 weeks. The first week was amazing: I rarely got an infection, everything was healing faster (old and new scars) and my skin just felt amazing. After that week things just got back to how they were before I started using coconut oil. It wasn't teribble but I got infections pretty often, especially really small whiteheads on my forehead. Also my skin didn't feel as soft and amazing as it did the first week. I would recommend trying it but only if you have really light acne that could be cured relatively fast or some scarring that you want to get rid of. Good luck! :)

Cons:

No cons.

This has helped me inceredibily. This is what I do: Wash my face with Witch Hazel, then wipe with Apple Cider Vinegar(Organic) and then put on cocunut oil (at night). I also put it under my eyes, and aroung my eyes, and on my lips. Works great.
