Pros:

Very soothing, helps moisturize, skin looks and feels smooth. Actually smells nice too.

Cons:

A bit greasy when it's applied.

I use the Spectrum brand organic unrefined coconut oil. About $10 for a huge jar that will probably last for months. Unrefined seems to be the key, so avoid the refined stuff. According to the label, it suggests rinsing it off an hour later, which is probably a good idea. Doesn't seem to cause breakouts if you rinse it off. I wouldn't say it seems to have a tremendous effect on treating existing bumps, it seems to be better for moisturizing, cleansing, and preventing new bumps. Although it's waxy in the jar, it melts on your skin. I just apply it after washing with water, find something to do for a while that doesn't involve putting my face on something, and rinse with warm water after an hour or so.

Broke me out massively!
After reading so much about the benefits of Coconut Oil i decided to give it a go on my skin... BIG MISTAKE! I broke out bad overnight, despite only using a small amount of oil on my skin. But I do have big pores, so maybe it could just be my skin that it doesn't suit. I do use it for my hair though and leave it in overnight which moisturises my hair massively, so the purchase was still worth it.

love coconut
I love coconut oil too. I got a giant tub and It has done wonders for DS's excezma prone skin. Very moisturizig without any chemicals to irritate skin. It's great head to toe. The only drawback, I wouldn't recemend using it during the day. It does take some time to absorb, and can stain clothes. But it's great at night.

Good for me
Mild acne/ acne prone skin After a week of use I saw improvement in the appearance and complextion of my skin but I think it caused a few pimples. Be mindful that coconut oil is fairly comedogenic; it may work for you or it may not. Coconut oil is not for everyone. It also possesses many benefits. Coconut oil can be used for your body and hair as well. It's also great a great makeup remover *use extra virgin coconut oil or 100% pure unrefined coconut oil. Do not use the processed kind.

Might have cause a moderate bump or two, but won't stop using.
Until I found an alternative of course. But really, it is just.. wonderful. Made my skin soft and smooth, glowing and porcelain-like. Really, really huuuge improvement for my skin after using this and my friend even asked me if I had done a facial. Oil production is also decreased significantly, but not completely. It gives my skin a dewy complexion, which is a plus because I'm not a matte-look fan. I don't know why, but my under-eye wrinkles are less obvious. This might be a product of something else, IDK. Just telling you guys. And yeah.. Like other people said, coconut oil does break me out. It gave me one or two moderate bumps. You know, the kind of acne that isn't cystic but isn't mild either? Like a red spot? Yeah.. But that might be because I excitingly applies it 3 times a day and just wipe it off with a dry towel :P . So use sparingly guys.

No good

Pros:

Smells good
Makes coarse thick hair shiny

Cons:

Causes small whiteheads
Rosacea flare ups

At first I thought this was a god send product then out of no where I started getting these tiny white bumps all over my cheeks. I do have rosacea but my skin was looking so beautiful I had it under control but needed a moisturizer so I heard how good Organic Coconut Oil was for an array of things including the skin so I tried it and regret it. :-( however it is great on my 8 year old daughter hair and smells great but wouldn't recommend for skin unless u don't hAve sensitive skin

Pros:

An effective moisturizer.
Nutrient-rich, supposedly healthy.
Inexpensive, carried at local health stores.

Cons:

Chunky.
Cool and solid at room temp., tedious to work with if you want to lather it on your skin. Body heat will help it melt.
Oily, may significantly clog pores, not very skin absorbent.
Some risk: unsure if this causes breakouts.

Precaution: don't use on your face unless your acne is well under control. Also do not use if your skin is thin, and do not use around the eyes. Not that this product stings but it gave me some milia spots after one use, which are harder to shake than pimples. Or just don't leave on your face longer than a few minutes... that was probably my err. It is much safer for a body moisturizer, hands especially. i suggest testing this product on the shoulders and arms for a month before moving to the face. People have different skin, and different experiences with different products. I would recommend giving this a go, despite its risks. Besides, it's easy to get and cheap. There isn't much to loose, just KEEP AWAY FROM EYE AREAS. PLEASE.

Patch test or something beforehand!
Used this and thought it felt kinda nice to put on. I noticed it felt warm to apply for some reason. I thought I'd check out my skin later on and noticed some red on my left cheek and ignored it. I looked again later and noticed black heads thst I didn't have before on my chin and on the side of my nose. Dark black ones..the nasty kind. The redness is definitely some irritation. It kept burning slightly and won't stop burning me now on my left cheek even though I washed I off!. I used this to help my acne, not cause an reaction and big nasty blackheads. Good for some people but boy it didn't like me!

good
I has started using it instead of shaving cream as I kept getting a shaving rash - I m loving it. The best thing about coconut oil is that's it's all natural - no chemicals or preservatives. I will always use coconut oil!
