Pros:

Cleared up my skin about 75%, Face, chest and back. Has cleared almost all blackheads on my nose and has definitely helped decrease the amount of small bumps I had under my skin mostly on cheeks and forehead. I love how smooth my skin feels.

Cons:

Some flaking around chin and cheeks but nothing too serious. I dab on some moisturizer and it goes away. Since this is something you use at night before bed I dont like the greasy wet feeling it leaves on your face but since I am sleeping I guess it doesnt really matter.

My face acne is moderate mostly small bumps under the skin that looks horrible under certain lighting. A couple of cystic pimples on my temples and a few small pimples on my cheeks and forehead. Small pimples on my chest and cystic full blown acne all over my back that just started this yr. I have been struggling with acne since I was 14 now 27. I had seen dermatologist before and nothing worked. I got on the Yaz birth control and that seemed to help alot then it all came right back this last year even with being on Yaz. I went to one dermatologist she said its time for Accutane, with all the reviews I was afraid due to certain side effects. I went for a second opinion to another dermatologist and she recommended I get on Spirolactone 25mg 2x day, Yaz birth control, Minocycline 65mg 1xday, Aczone gel and Ziana. It been 4 weeks now that I saw my derm and my face has definitely improved and I know it should be getting better since they say it takes several months to see real results. First 2 weeks there was definitely a purge, 1 cheek, then the other cheek then the forehead. I also had to stop Minocycline last week because of discoloration it gave my fingers nails. I feel that Ziana may not work for everyone the same way but I am so far very happy with the results whenever I dab it on at night the next morning I wash my face and it is much more smoother and radiant.

Pros:

Theoretically, it's a nice combo treatment - antibiotic + retinoid

Cons:

Did nothing to clear my acne
Expensive

Used this some years ago when I was living down south - it was prescribed by my GP who had no idea about skin but said lots of his patients liked it. It did nothing for me and was expensive, so I stopped after a few months.

Pros:

- Stops cysts in their tracks as far as size and pain goes.
- Has made my skin very glow-y and bright

Cons:

- Even though it stops the cysts from forming and becoming painful bloody messes it still leaves a little bump that takes a week or so to go away.
- Hasn't improved my regular acne at all, even after 12 weeks. It will clear up for a bit but flare up again.

I've been using this for about 12 weeks and although it's definitely improved the appearance of my skin in general, I can't say it's improved my acne (which is mostly small, deep zits without a head that I've had for YEARS.) It's definitely worth it if you're prone to painful, cyst-like pimples. I haven't had one since I started using.

Pros:

It clears skin within 3 weeks!! And I still get one or two around my period but hey, that's normal! I use this Ziana with a prescribed wash and medication. So they also have factors in the clarity of my skin. It costs about $500 without a prescription. But luckily my parents have great insurance and we only pay $20 per tube. The tube and the tube is quite large.

Cons:

It drys out skin if you use too much. You the amount the doctors tells you to. If you do have dryness use olay sensitive skin oil free lotion on your face it takes that oilyness right way, without clogging your pores. FYI it works great for people with oily skin because I have oily skin and it's perfect. But back to the product it also makes my face a little red but I cover that up with a quick dab of powder on my red areas.

I extremely recommend this product because it is absolutely an agent that help me have no acne of my face.

Pros:

Clears skin quickly

Cons:

Leaves skin flakey and dry

Only use twice a week and I have clear skin. Althought the day after I use it my skin is dried out. Moisturizer is a must!

Pros:

Cons:

Pros:

apply small amount once a day
gradual results

Cons:

irritating until your skin adjusts to it
must remain pale

my derm prescribed me ziana gel, solodyn antibiotic, and triaz foaming cloths. in the morning i wash my face with the triaz cloth and then take the solodyn pill. at night i wash my face with cetaphil and then apply this gel. my skin was so irritated the first couple of weeks. i watched the movie 'brothers' and i was allergic to my own tears. had that 'just cried' look throughout the entire next day : ( skin really dries out at first.. make sure you have a good moisturizer.. and more importantly.. wait at least an hour before applying moisturizer on your face after applying this gel. its been almost a month now and my skin is adjusting.. it's not at all irritated just a little dry. i can see my skin starting to clear.

Pros:

Not very expensive

Cons:

My acne is worse.

I have used Ziana for 3 months. I have been patient as I knew my acne would get worse before it got better. However, 3 months later, my skin has shown NO improvement. My self esteem is so low. This stuff is terrible.

Pros:

Almost all clear!

Cons:

Burning, peeling, itching, soreness, initial breakout, made scars stand out

The first few weeks I used Ziana, I definitely thought that I was going to quit. I have used tretinoin in the past and it did not work out. I was extremely nervous when my derm prescribed me this (I have very fair and sensitive skin). At first I experienced a major breakout within a week. It was horrible. My skin got extremely oily and then dried out. It itched and stung. My face was sore to the touch. But, now about four weeks later my skin is way better. I still have a few tiny bumps and my scars seem to stand out more, but hopefully they will start to fade. One thing to note it that this product is very thin and runs out of the tube easily, so you can end up putting too much on. You want to use as small amount as possible and I only use at night. I mix it with a fragrance free and dye free lotion to get it to spread easier. Overall I'm very happy, but I think that I'll probably end up switching to something else once the card runs out because my insurance doesn't cover it.

Pros:

I found this product to be very affective. I noticed a change for the better in for weeks. My complexion is clear and I just love the texture of my skin from this product.

Every skin condition is different and results may vary in the time it takes to clear your skin. I will continue use of the product and will recommend this product. I am very happy with the product and love my new complexion.
