Pros:

worked on the first few days only!!!

Cons:

only helps heal pimples faster, but doesnt stop new ones from forming! dries skin quite a bit and i have very visibe finelines on my forehead! itchy itchy skin! also verrrrry expensive!!!

hasnt worked for me. I have had mild acne for 3 years and have tried many OTC products. I had been using solugel for a year which at first worked pretty well, but all of a sudden stopped working. I was prescribed Benzaclin a week ago, and the first morning i woke up happy to see that my bumpy forehead was much smoother and clearer. I got my hopes up very high, but now after a week by face seems to be even worse than b4! i feel like my face is immune to it and the drynes its causing is probably making everything worse..hopefully this is like those products that make acne worse b4 making it better! Good luck to u all!

Pros:

Kinda works

Cons:

DRIES SKIN ALOT!! AND BURNS MY SKIN OFF! ITS LIKE SUNBURN MEETS FIRE ANTS ON MY FACE!

I HATE IT TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT! My skin burns even after i wash it off. Moisturizer doesnt do a single thing! this s*$# suucks!!!

Pros:

It cleared up my face, and the clindamycin in the product helps reduce redness. So on the occasion that I DO have acne there is no redness in the spots.

Cons:

For the first couple weeks, it will dry and irritate the skin. And it's very expensive.

Even though it's very expensive, it does work for clearing up the skin.

Pros:

I have also used just about everything out there: Proactive, other OTC creams, homeopathic options such as fasts, cleanses, and herbal therapies, etc., etc. When I started using Benzaclin it was noticebly better in about 3 days!

Cons:

Some dryness occurs. But limiting to once a day helps. Neutrogena for combo skin helps for me as well. I also experienced that it stopped working after about a year, but nothing else has worked, so I am ready to get back on it again!

Overall it works great... and fast! The dryness can be tamed. Some breakouts may occur when it appears to not be working as well, but it usually straightens itself out. Since being off of Benzaclin, nothing else works as good as when I was using it. I can't wait to get a new prescription of this wonderful stuff!

Cons:

-badly dries out skin

Did not work for me at all. Possibly made it worse

Pros:

It works.

I started getting oily skin & acne 2 yrs ago when I was 11 (ugh), very embarrassing 4 the only 1 in my school with skin probs. This stuff cleared my stubborn under-the-skin bumps and gross blackheads that nothing else got rid of.

Cons:

Makes my skin dry, flaky, red, itchy, with tight, burning feel.

Cleansing with Dove helps me with dryness, and Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer helps also. I am going to try Aveeno ultra-calming instead though b/c of redness.

Putting up with the dryness is worth having clearer skin. Ask your Dr. for some, it might work great 4u like it did 4me!!! Warning: YOU HAVE TO USE A OIL-FREE SUNSCREEN OR MOISTURIZER WITH SPF. But 4 summer, I might try leaving off the Benzaclin during the day once in a while (but keep using at night) so I can get some tan on my face. Sometimes I also dab on some of my leftover Proactiv mask as a spot treatment, since I still get a few spots every month from hormones (but nothing like what was going on b4).

Pros:

i havent seen nothing so far i have only been useing it got a day or two i dont do it both times a day jus at night after i wash my face.

Cons:

it leaves my skin very tight and dry but the tightnes goes away after about 30 minutes. I havent notied a diffrence in my skin but i guess thats beacuse i havent used it long enough.

try it, it might work for you!!

Pros:

works fast and works well.

Cons:

smells bad, stings a little. pain is beauty :)

I used benzaclin for about 6 months and it worked beautifully, especially when I started using it. About a month ago it stopped working as well so I went to the doctor, and they perscribed me with Differin. Huge mistake. After 2 weeks on Differin my skin was in the WORST condition of my life, so I went back to Benzaclin and started washing my face with Proactiv instead of Clean & Clear. So far, the results are amazing! Def. go with Benzaclin.

Pros:

Really clears up acne quite quickly. I used to have a lot of big red bumps, but now I just have few very small blemishes on my cheeks. However I use this stuff in conjunction with ProActiv

Cons:

Makes my skin VERY dry and scaly, especially across the cheeks. This can be fixed by a moisturizer, I esp. recommend Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel.

I use this stuff almost every night. It's really great, I recommend it. The dryness is fairly intense but my skin acclimated itself after about two weeks. It really clears up acne, but you'll need a few other products as well (a very good moisturizer, a cleanser, a scrub, a mask, a toner, etc. - or at least, that's what I do. You need to keep cleaning your skin the way you would, you can't just rely on BenzaClin. When I used it without any other products except for a gentle cleanser, although it cleared up my skin right away, my pores were still large and my skin felt rough).

Pros:

clears up acne pretty fast

Cons:

leaves skin very dry and flaky, i'm brown skin so my face looks slightly burnt. Very expensive

This topical gel is pretty good, only been using it for a three and a half weeks. When using topical creams/gels you MUST, MUST, MUST following the instructions or its not going to work! Make sure to use a gentle, nonmedicated cleanser first wait ten mins, then apply med. to dry skin. Follow with moisturizer ten mins after.
