Didn't work for me

Cons:

Dried skin out
Didn't prevent new breakouts

I used this product for a few months & saw no difference to my skin at all. It didn't prevent any new breakouts - just made my skin ridiculously dry & didn't help the spots I already had. I do, however, know a few people that it has worked for!

Pros:

None for me. Hasn't had time to make a difference.

Cons:

Only used this 5 times and my face looks like I have been badly burnt and is extremely sore.

I guess this just isn't the product for me. I was very tentative and only used a tiny amount and my face has been burning constantly ever since the first use. My chin has swollen up and looks absolutely awful. People never really stared at me that much before even on my worst acne days, but now they wonder if I have some wierd disease and gawp. Will never use again. Hope to god these burns on my face go away!

Pros:

None. I went to the dermatologist to get something that help an occasional pimple now and then and now my face looks horrible. I have pimples all over my face. My face has never looked like this.

Cons:

I have oily skin so I thought the drying was great but after a few weeks of use my face has a zillion pimples

Not for occasional breakouts

Pros:

None

Cons:

Refrigerate it, so it's cold on my skin, it leaves behind white marks after putting it on, and my skin feels really dry.

It didn't help me at all, my acne is still here and increasing everyday.

Pros:

i like the consistency, somewhat gel-like

Cons:

over drying
causes severe redness
stinging

Personally, I didn't like this stuff. My Dr prescribed me it and retin-a. This stuff stung like crazy for me! I think the 5% bp is too much for my skin maybe? And it was not because of the retin-a, because i did a bit of a test and used only benzaclin for the 1st month and i couldn't handle the stinging(maybe im a wuss), but it never subsided until i wiped it off. Very irritating! So anyways, i've heard great things about this stuff, but for me personally didn't work. (hence the no recommendation) everyones skin is different! retin-a did wonders tho if interested :)

Pros:

I got a free sample from the dermatologist after reading positive reviews and requesting it.

Cons:

It did nothing for my needle size pimples except make them BIGGER!

I only applied this on my face twice. Once at night and then again the next morning. Thank goodness I didn't put this on my entire face and only put it on a small part. Anyway, I was hoping it would reduce the size of my tiny whiteheads that I have had for a month but it made them worse. They got red and angry. I even got a new BIG pimple right next to them. My skin didn't respond well to this drug at all and I will never put it on my face again. I am sticking to Proactiv and Zinc.

doesn't seem to work for me

Pros:

Easy to use

Cons:

Drying, irritating (itches), didn't improve acne (it worsened), inflammation associated with use

I started using this medication after I was successfully clear for nearly a year with minocycline and was prescribed this by my family practice doctor. I am a teenager so maybe my hormones affected my skin but within 2 weeks my face flared up with new red and peeling acne that was quite painful. After applying the medication for 4 weeks total, it only further exacerbated the acne. Never again...

Pros:

I was pescribed Benzaclin and it got rid of the tiny bumps on my forehead

Cons:

it dries out your skin horribly and if you try 2 put on makeup its hard 2 because it makes your skin very rough.....
when you 1st start using it it breaks you out.....
the bumps on my forehead came back and i was still using the product!!!!

dont buy this product its just like proactiv it works at first then it stops working and youll have a very bad breakout
