Pros:

I have also used just about everything out there: Proactive, other OTC creams, homeopathic options such as fasts, cleanses, and herbal therapies, etc., etc. When I started using Benzaclin it was noticebly better in about 3 days!

Cons:

Some dryness occurs. But limiting to once a day helps. Neutrogena for combo skin helps for me as well. I also experienced that it stopped working after about a year, but nothing else has worked, so I am ready to get back on it again!

Overall it works great... and fast! The dryness can be tamed. Some breakouts may occur when it appears to not be working as well, but it usually straightens itself out. Since being off of Benzaclin, nothing else works as good as when I was using it. I can't wait to get a new prescription of this wonderful stuff!

Pros:

clears up acne pretty fast

Cons:

leaves skin very dry and flaky, i'm brown skin so my face looks slightly burnt. Very expensive

This topical gel is pretty good, only been using it for a three and a half weeks. When using topical creams/gels you MUST, MUST, MUST following the instructions or its not going to work! Make sure to use a gentle, nonmedicated cleanser first wait ten mins, then apply med. to dry skin. Follow with moisturizer ten mins after.

Pros:

it semi-working for me...

Cons:

makes skin dry and flaky.....but try not to use alot

i've been using benzaclin for about 1 month and up to now i still have the same blemishes that i had when i started using it well only on one side of my jaw line. It sure has not giving me any problems on my other side of my face.in fact it did work but somehow it's not been working on my right side jaw line. i have no acne else where except their. the price is good if you have insurance. i have used many many products including accutane, proactive and others.

Pros:

Stops oily skin, removes some acne

Cons:

Dries out skin

Due to the fact I'm 15 and live in England, I don't have to pay for Duac, I get it freely prescribed by my doctor. I've been using this for a few weeks now and it kinda works... It clears up the spots that I've got fast but so far hasn't stopped new ones. The dry skin is a bit of a bummer, but moisturising in the morning does help a lot. I'm guessing from other reviews that I need to wait a while longer. Fingers crossed!

Pros:

Works well. Not much of a scent.

Cons:

Took a few weeks to kick-in. Needed it to work sooner b/c I had senior prom and graduation. Can't wear in sun light b/c skin will peal.

Great product. The only thing that worked on my bad acne.

Pros:

Cleared pimples quickly

Cons:

will have to wait and see, hopefully none.

in reading some of these reviews (the ones that don't speak highly of Benzaclin) I wonder if they are applying Benzaclin all over your face, in which that would indeed sting like a mother I would imagine and make things worse because it would dry out and irritate the skin. I have only been using this for a few days, so take this with a grain of salt. I have experienced great results, using it at night and in the morning. It seems to kill my pimples (the larger red ones) and also white/black heads. I use it as a SPOT TREATMENT however as my derm recommended. I would not use this all over my face as A) it would sting and irritate the skin I would think and B) my skin would get immune to it much faster. Also I have OILY SKIN and this seems to work well. The thing with acne treatments is people need to mention their skin type and previous treatments, otherwise a comment like "it worked or didn't work for me" might be completely irrelevant to other people. Pros:

Results overnight! The only product that has addressed my problems with CYSTIC acne positively. I am currently using it all over, but hopefully I can just spot treat down the road because it feels a little much. I worry about building up immunity.

Cons:

My skin itches horribly from the dryness in some areas! I have used a ton of lotion since I started using this product. I have really sensitive skin, so I combined it with an all natural, heavier moisturizer, like Aveeno and some hydrocortisone.

After years of problem skin and wasted money on products like Clinique, Murad, Proactive, Boscia, everything make this product worth every penny. The dryness is typical of any skin product with benzoyl peroxide. I am enthusiatic, but I am proceeding with caution. the body works in mysterious ways.

Pros:

Works fast! After just a weeks use my acne had cleared up a lot, and after several weeks, my acne was pretty much gone!

Cons:

Dry's skin and made my face a little redder. Just use a good moisturizer and your set.

This product works! Treats acne well, and PREVENTS new acne. Keeps your skin clear! Besides the few minor side effects this product is great for mild to moderate acne. I highly suggest this medication to any acne suffer.
