This stuff saved my skin

Pros:

Works fast
Effective

Cons:

Dries out the skin: when using it definitely moisturize more than normal

I got acne about two years ago and it started to get progressively worse to the point where i didn't have a single clear patch on my face. It was completely covered in large painful red bumps. I went to the derm and he prescribed epiduo, which completely destroyed my skin. It made my acne 2x worse and my skin very sensitive, dry, and it burned whenever i touched it. After stopping epiduo i left my skin alone for a year out of fear that trying another product would just make it worse. My acne stayed just as bad and my skin just as sensitive. Then I went to my GP for a check up and told her about my acne issues, and she prescribed benzaclin. After 1 month my acne had gone down drastically. Now, 3 months in my skin is completely clear and baby smooth, and 50% of my hyperpigmentation is gone!!! This stuff really saved my skin and self confidence:)

Does the trick... kind of.

Pros:

Clears 90% of spots.
More confident.
Free on NHS.

Cons:

It burns, tingles and skin flaked.
Didn't completely clear skin.
I didn't want to ruin my skin.

I am a 14 years old female. I started getting acne around 11/12 years old just as I was starting high school. (On face, neck, check and back.) At first it didn't affect me, but as you grow up you become more insecure and self conscious about the way you look. Therefore I tried everything I could get my hands on. I spent hours watching YouTube videos, and searching up methods to get rid of acne. I went to the doctors twice about my skin. The first time I was recommended 'Zinc', it wasn't great, I can't remember if it cleared my skin, but I am guessing it didn't as I stopped. About a year later, March 2013, I went back, this time I was prescribed 'duac once daily gel'. At first it made my skin worse, and it took a while to work. For the first couple weeks/months my skin was burn, tingly, flake, and I had red patches. I was even more upset about my skin. I hated moisturizing as it seems to give me spots too. Therefore I rarely did. But around the 3rd month my skin was looking a lot better, less spots, on hormonal. It was such a big improvement. However at some points I did break out, and it made me really upset. I was about 4 months into it, when I gave up (July) and I haven't used it since. My skin is breaking out again, and I am once again insecure and annoyed about it! Although I wasn't successful, I would still recommend it. Just because it wasn't great on my skin, doesn't mean it won't work on yours. Try it! But don't let spots get you down, a lot of people have them. Life is too short to get annoyed over them, they will eventually go! :)

Pros:

Awesome product that does what it is supposed to do.
Decent price with insurance

Cons:

Can dry out your face for the first couple of weeks but eventually your skin gets used to it and isn't as dry with a good moisturizer.

I had suffered from acne since I was in the 6th grade and now at the age of 21 I have finally found the answer to my prayers. I suffered from cystic acne to the regular blemishes that would occur around that time of the month and with this product my skin is 100% clear. In highschool I used this product as well and it worked but got too lazy to get represcribed and remembered how great it worked then and it is just as successful now as then. :)

Pros:

Calms the acne and spots quickly,
Reduces redness,
Minimizes new ones forming
No smell
No grease or color
Absorbs into skin instantly
A little usage goes a long way
Free via Doctor
Instant result from Day 1

Cons:

Dries my skin too much
Winkle appearance (not permanent I hope)

The pros far outweigh the cons so it's worth the minor cons. Also it's the first time I have been to the doctor for decent acne treatment and from Day one, it is superb at healing any current acne and minimizing new ones from forming. Just use once a day in the evening and let it work its magic.

I recently got this item from my GP about a month ago, she said it would take about 2 month for this product to actually work. After a week my skin got immediately better. I find this product great. It doesn't burn my skin but to others this may be different. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, its worth a try!

Pros:

-Begins to start clearing acne immediately
-After 2 months dramatic improvement
-Helps with scarring
-Clears blackheads
-Overall appearance and texture majorly improved

Cons:

-Dry Skin
-May bleach clothing or pillows
-Discontinue use, acne comes back

I had suffered with acne breakouts most of my life and after trying several products the dermatologist prescribed, I finally found this wonder topical! I have been using it now for over a year and it is the only thing that has helped. It helps improve every type of acne and it works rather quickly, many even disappear over night! Other then the dryness there are no other downsides to this topical, and the dryness is really only a issue in the winter months. So just make sure you moisturize and you'll be fine! Benzaclin can be expensive, the generic product is just as good and 10 times cheaper, so keep that in mind. If you discontinue use, expect it to come back. There have been a few times where I stopped hoping I was "cured" and within a month my face looked horrible. So stick with it.. Don't stop just to start the whole process again. If you have the opportunity to try this product I definitely would! It literally gave me my life back and I even get a little anxiety when the jar gets low! haha Good Luck!

Pros:

- Cleared my severe acne within three months to just the occasional spots here and there.
- Works fast (Longest time for a spot to leave my face is five days).
- Eases the redness and makes them look less severe after a few hours.
- You only need a thin layer where the spots are so the tube lasts pretty long.

Cons:

- Can stain clothing.
- Drys out skin if used on your whole face or used too often.
- Cannot put make up over it.
-Does not clear all of your skin up, only lessens the severity.

My skin began getting to a severe acne state last year during my exams, mainly to stress. And I had previously tried most if not all over the counter products, washes, scrubs, serums, creams, lotions, wipes, you name it, I tried it. Nothing worked. I went to a dermatologist, none of their products worked, only made my skin dry, and in effect worsened my acne. I then tried natural/herbal remedies and home treatments, still nothing worked. So... I get very down about my skin, I couldn't leave home without make up and I was reapplying it half way through the school day just to cover it. Eventually over the summer, I went to my doctor and she gave me a perscription for Duac, and told me for three months I had to try it once everyday at night before bed and wash off with warm water and a sensitive skin cleanser then a normal aloe vera moisturizer across my cheeks and around my mouth (I dry out easily there) . Within those three months my skin had a dramatic change and I had so much less redness and pain on my cheeks (thats where I get most of my spots). It's been nearly a year now, and I still get spots, I only put Duac where I need it and it takes a max of five days to clear a big spot. I still have about four or five spots on my face here and there, it's not a miricle worker because of horomones, dry sensitive skin, and my hair is always down and I touch my face a lot, but I found it helped me so much when nothing else could.

Pros:

This product helped me a lot. I had very moderate acne and scars under my skin. I applied it mildly and despite the flaming, my skin became very clear in the area I put the cream. It took away acne scars too. I was afraid my skin would get addicted to it and my acne would worsen, but that didn't happen.

Cons:

Skin can get a bit red and irritated. Can get pretty dry too.

I would definitely recommend this product. I began using it at the beginning of my summer vacation and my skin has never felt better. It looks wonderful and like it never had before. I would give this product to people who have mild acne and scars that reappear from under their skin. Benzaclin is amazing!
