Pros:

Gets rid of acne QUICK. I could see differences after the first use.

Cons:

Face had a little burning sensation, and it tended to dry out the skin. But this is normal for any type of acne medication.

This acne medication is the best that I have ever used. I have used other medications and this is just the easiest to use. It does not leave my face all shiny or oily which is a good thing.

Pros:

It cleared up my acne. It was also the only product that worked, and I have tried everything.

Cons:

It dries my face out a bit

Definitely worth trying.

Pros:

AMAZING. this is the only topical that has ever worked for me. i noticed results starting with the very first application. also it doesnt dry out my skin like other topicals that i have used.

Cons:

bleached everything it comes in contact with. expensive: my insurance suddenly stopped covering it... so i'm screwed again.

if you can afford this, use it. i actually had flawless skin while i was using this medication

Pros:

The product is wonderful. I had mild acne and it clear it up within two weeks. My face looks great. I had no side effects.

Cons:

None

The product does work. Is a little bit expensive but health insurance covered 100% of the cost. Without insurance in NY is about $192.

Pros:

Fast-acting, tightens face

Cons:

dries out face a bit, but will eventually go away with additional application of moisturizer.

I love this product because whether or not it gives me dry skin it works. Moisturizer is the cure for dry skin, and Benzanclin is the cure for acne. Bottom line.

Pros:

Keeps you clear if you use it consistently. Dries up cyst-like pimples in days.

Cons:

Can be drying...and you may experience redness and peeling for at least 2 weeks before your skin adjusts to it.

I've been on Benzaclin for 8 years now. It has worked great for me! I had big cyst-like pimples all over my face, but once I got started on the Benzaclin, it has cleared up my face dramatically. I still get pimples around the time of my period--but that's a hormonal thing. For the rest of the month, my face is pretty clear and smooth. Benzaclin definitely works...but you have to be patient...it'll take at least 2 months before you start seeing real results...and that's if you use it correctly and consistently. But once it starts working, you'll definitely see a huge difference.

Pros:

I have developed acne in my 40s after having very little acne as a teenager. My dermatologist says it's a combination of acne and roseacea. Benzaclin has been the best product for me so far.

Cons:

Have to keep using it after the acne clears and makes my sensitive skin a little red. I have the tendency to stop using it after my skin clears up and then it gets worse again - so I make myself use it everyday now.

I had been on oral many antibiotics, evoclin, various washes, and Benzaclin has worked best for me. I had stomach problems with erythromycin and it didn't do much, tetracycline did very little, doxycycline didn't do much for me, and minocin worked well but gave me severe headaches and muscle pains, so I had to stop, and amoxicillin worked very well but I didn't want to take anything oral for more than a few months. Metrogel made my acne worse. Now I wash in the morning with Rosula and apply Benzaclin after I shave and wash gently before bed and use the Benz at night. After three years, this is the first product that worked will without side affects for me and I don't have to take any oral meds.

Pros:

Benzaclin is the best acne medication I've had thus far. Tretinoin Retin-A, to name one, pales in comparison to benzaclin for me. I've been using benzaclin for about almost 5 years.

Cons:

At first, it did make my face peel quite a lot which is the worst if you plan on wearing foundation, etc. So, be sure to use sparingly in the beginning. It also GAVE me burn identical to sunburn. It also doesn't help at all when I'm on my period.

This stuff works. I wanted to go on accutane beacuse I still do not have a clear face. I have a very uneven skin tone and lots of redness. It has helped with scarring a bit, but it hasn't taken away my blemishes. It worked wonders on me when I first started using it almost 5 years ago, but now it doesn't work as well. Maybe some kind of clindamycin tolerance... it never bleached any of my hair. It is DEFINITELY worth it if you want something that works, but I can't promise that it will work to perfection. Just don't waste your money on something like tretinoin retin-a if you have REAL acne. Benzaclin is a much better choice.

Initially worked really well!
This was the first prescription treatment I received from my doctor when I had moderate acne all along the temples on both sides of my face and a bit on my forehead. Whilst this didn't work straight away, it reduced inflammation and within 3 months I was clear! After the 3 month period, I just began to spot treat with the cream and not apply it all over my temples and forehead. Soon after, I'm not too sure why, but my skin became very sensitive to this cream and quite often I would wake up the next morning with a terrible, red, itchy rash which was all over my face and my neck. I believe it was the benzoyl peroxide which irritated my skin as I tried other treatments after this with benzoyl peroxide in them and the same thing seemed to occur. Ultimately, I think that this topical treatment is worth a try for mild-moderate acne.

Hi, was this because you never got a new Duac cream? After the 3 month mark it stops working as runs out of date. Maybe that's why?
