Pros:

clears skin EXTREMELY well

Cons:

horribly gastrointestinal symptoms after a few months of use. chronic abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping. did not go away for 3 weeks after use

excellent product but terrible gastrointestinal side effects. side effects probably based on the user. works wonderfully to clear skin though.

Pros:

Works well at the beginning. I had this, and Retin -A prescription, and this worked much better for me

Cons:

I'm pale, so makes me very photosensitive.... Also, I thought it was my imagination but see other people writing it here, that the effectiveness seems to wear off, like you get immune to it.

It's a good quick fix for mild to medium acne. I don't know that it truly 'cures' your acne..it just allows you to treat it whenever it come back

Pros:

my skin wasnt as oily & the pimples seemed smaller

Cons:

the first morning after applying it at night, i woke up with very red, dry, itchy cheeks, but my forehead didnt have any problems. that night i only applied it to my forehead and my cheeks were still a little red from the previous application.

3 nights after my first application (which was at night) and my cheeks are still pretty dry, but the pimples i had are definitely smaller. i really want to get rid of my pimples which aren't too bad to begin with, just really annoying and desgusting. hopefully this works !!

Pros:

Not sure, since I just started using it.

Cons:

Makes my skin quite red when I apply it (at night).

Am using this now that doc took me off of Doryx, and am also using Differin, which is working well, so not sure if I even want to stay on the Duac. What I've been doing is applying the Duac only to spots on my face where I know I typically tend to have issues (i.e. jawline and one of my cheeks.) Otherwise not sure if this is one of those meds that makes your skin get worse before it gets better, because if it is, I have already been through that for the Differin and do NOT want to have to do it all over again for this!

Pros:

It's not very greasy, so you don't get that heavy, clogged feeling. It seems to make the redness lessen.

Cons:

My doctor told me to be very patient with this product. She said to use it for at least 2 months before I could see definitive results. You can't overexpose the medicated skin to the sun for very long, and, as it's summer, it bums me out.

I don't know if it will work for me in the long run yet, but right now, it's making the redness and swelling go down a bit.

Pros:

not a scent, doesn't sting, but it makes acne less aggitated!

Cons:

doesn't clear acne fully!

It just dries up your spots to make them look less red and less furious, but doesn't get rid of it! though, I have just begun!

Pros:

easy to dispense, doesn't smell like anything, not a greasy feeling, works fast

Cons:

your skin seems to become immune to it.

The doctor prescribed this for my brother but it never worke on him so i started using it. It seemed to start clearing the first night i used it. I used more than the peasized amount because i thougfht that was stupid. I didn't put i just on my pimples i spread it all over my problem areas. (forehead, chin, and nose) Sometimes i feel like my skin is becoming immune to it, so i'll rotate and use another cheaper 5% benzoyl peroxide zit cream. Overall i'm pretty pleased. It may just not work for some people. I have very mild acne (some redness, bumps, and the occasional breakout)

Pros:

Clears bumps and whiteheads. Cheap.

Cons:

Causes breakouts, smells, bleaches everything, leaves skin dry and tight. Doesn't affect blackheads/ cystic acne. As good as usless for body acne.

I used this in combination with a very effective pill to clear up my back. The problem is that Benzaclin is very clogging to pores. Even as a spot treatment, I found that it will reduce the size/ redness of the spot in question, but a day or two later, there's a whole new crop of blackheads to contend with. Benzaclin only takes care of whiteheads and little bumps in my experience, and, considering most of my bacne is blackheads/ cystic in nature, not of much help. Also, it will bleach whatever it's in contact with and has a horrid smell. Perhaps it works better on the face, but if bacne is your problem, avoid Benzaclin.
