Pros:

Worked well for my acne in just a few days. Skin wasn't too dry and did not experience any of the "bleaching" of my hair or clothes. However, please pay attention to the possible side effects!

Cons:

I developed severe colitis - please pay attention to the warnings/side effects and stop using if you start to have abdominal cramps! Stop using and call your Dr.!!!

Great stuff for acne - very bad for the colon!!!

I think this product is very good, i have been using for about one month and it has been doing exactly what it says on the tin. I used to use it along with oral tablets every different kind you can think of. I gave up with the tablets and now just usethis DUac on its own and it is great. I use a 25ml tube every 4 days because i cover a large area generously. But thats ok because i don't pay for this cream. And if i did i would only pay £6.95 about USD$12

I wanted to reply to one of the messages someone posted. They asked if anyone knew of a gentle cleanser they could use before applying medication. I definitely suggest trying Purpose Bar Soap before applying duac, or any other medication to the face. It can be drying, and will leave a tight feeling right after you wash your face. After washing my face in the morning with Purpose soap, I apply duac, and then moisturizer (which is a MUST!) At night I do the same thing (the bar soap really takes off make-up effectively, leaving you with nothing but sweaky clean skin)Then I put on a different medication and I usually don't follow with moisturizer at night. Hope this helps! I really believe that Purpose bar soap is the best gentle cleanser you will find!

Pros:

Clears up acne at a pretty fast rate. Helps with acne marks.

Cons:

Dries your skin too much.

It is a very good product, but dont put it everywhere. Since it is so strong you only put it on the problem areas(ur acne) not your whole face. If you put too much on it will be bad because it will just cause you to break out and it will not help you at all.

Pros:

Seemed to work for the purpose of clearing up larger spots & blackheads. I was presribed this by my family doctor and was excited that something might actually work for my persistant acne (blackheads covering nose/chin, and larger, moderate acne and

Cons:

Burning, drying, and probably caused an allergic reaction. I used it according to all the imformation i could find - wash with mild cleanser, wait 15 minutes, apply thin layer everywhere, moisturize - and it still burned immediately & itched severely

Redness & itching continued for 2 days when i noticed that in addition to seemingly clearing up the large spots and shrinking blackheads/pores, it had completely altered the rest of my skins appearance and texture - but not in a good way. Aside from the spots and the scarring, the rest of my skin had been relatively clear, even toned, and smooth (especially my forehead and lower cheeks). But now i had tiny little bumps all over (sort of like small blisters) and my skin felt super dry/flaky/peeling in places and super greasy in others. Plus it looked really red and swollen from the rash & felt & looked like orangepeel. i had read other peoples comments, but wasn't sure if my reaction was normal or was the sign of a severe allergy, so i stopped using the gel. it has been 3 days since i stopped & my skin just seems to be beginning to heal - its still pretty itchy/flaky/bumpy. It seems that this has worked for others but i'd like to warn anybody just starting out to patch test before

Pros:

Works fast, greatly reduces inflammation and redness, removes blackheads and whiteheads because of its other major ingredient.

Cons:

Drys out skin pretty bad at first, may make your skin red and irritated, doesn't mix well with moisturizers, cant use it too often.

Great treatment for acne. Removes basically every type of acne blemish FAST (Blackheads, whiteheads, regular pimples, the pimples that dont have a head yet, etc....) Reduces the haunting redness faster than any other type of over the counter benzoyl peroxide, but use apringly and as directed by your doctor because it can cause really bad redness, flaky, irritated, painful skin if you apply too much, and sometimes it burns when you first use it. Experiment with the amount you use, when you use it, etc. to see how well it works for you. Remember, different people have different results.

Pros:

Works in a small matter of time and works well.
Large pimples were zapped almost overnight

Cons:

Can lead to very dry skin and does not blend well with moisturizers

Is the best solution for acne that I have found yet. Just make sure you use a good moisturizer and use sparingly.

Pros:

It works immediately, believe me.. you'll feel it. Depending on your acne, it make take few days to be notice but I definitely saw difference within a day or two, hard to believe.. i know. No need to apply too much, little bottle is more than enough

Cons:

It will burn, and create much discomfort. But read below, as I'll tell you what worked for me and what stopped the redness/dry skin/itching

Just like you all, I tried all the products and had the same symptoms. I dont have severe acne, but i get some occasionaly because of my oily skin, and because of hockey 4 times a week. For some reason though, my derm prescribed Tazorac (for night) and Benzaclin(for morning). I tried that regimen, what a mistake ! It was just too much, my face was bright red, burning and then the worst part, flaky skin. After few trials and changing the regimen, this is what I came up with that I believe works the best. Just like everything else in life, in moderation, the key is time and patience. 1) Wash face (Cetaphil cleaner-morning, SkinMD Oilyskin-night) 2)Moisturizer-Cetaphil (facial / regular) Wait at least 15 mins/ lotion is absorbed 3)benzalin -night . I would alternate tazorac every 3 days, so twice a week (W & SA) Everyother day would be benzaclin/ I apply the medicine at night because sun/wind can affect your skin and react to the med ,.. good luck !

Pros:

Works well. I tried everything. This zaps the zits quickly and even gets the blackheads that were a problem for me too

Cons:

Dries your skin out! I use a mousturizer to combat it. I do feel wrinkled and dry somethimes though so use the mousturizer!

Good product. Wish it wasnt so pricey! I paid $140 USD when I didnt have insurance, and $60 USD with insurance for a 3 month supply. BUMMER!
