Pros:

dries up acne and is pretty good at clearing up

Cons:

really irritating and drying, not really enjoyable, bleaches towels, bad for sensitive skin

i just think some people can't use benzoyl peroxide. my skin goes crazy with it

Pros:

Cleared my skin up almost completely in just a few days!

Cons:

after about 4 months of use it i started to wake up with really puffy eyes and lips so i had to discontinue use :(

its the only thing that worked for me so give it a try! i wish i didnt develop an allergy because my skin sucks again now.

Pros:

It dries up acne fairly quickly

Cons:

Needs to be used with a good nightime med.

Benzaclin is not the type of meidcine that will clear up your acne alone, you need to use this with a good nightime med, I recommend tazorac 0.1%. Benzaclin does OK during the day but I depend on the tazorac for the dramatic results.

Pros:

It cleared up all my spots within a week.
Dried up excess oil.

Cons:

Withen 5 days my skin becamme red and my chin swell up.
My skin looks like it has been sunburnt and is overly dry.

I think people should not try this product as it does have side effects.

Pros:

Really helps to get rid of acne.

Cons:

Can cause flaking, be sure to use mosturizer.

Ok well i do not use this, but my brother does. He had really bad acne all over his face. He got this and withing a few weeks, his skin is almost clear. I was so happy for him!

The products I've started to use since seeing my dermatologist are: Benzaclin in the morning, Differin at night, cetaphil as a cleanser, and antibiotics twice a day. It's been a week and a half, and I really do notice a difference. Before, there wasn't a day where I didn't have ten new whiteheads popping up on my face. Now, I wake up to a clear face! However, I do get the occasional pimple. It's true, the products do dry out your face, but I've only experienced minimal drying. Using a good moisturizer, like cetaphil and aveeno, really helps. Also, you don't want to cake on these products! All you need is a very, very thin layer, and this helps reduce dryness as well. I've struggled with severe, just awful unsightly acne for the past four years thinking that if I just drank more water, my face would get better. I've tried all over the counter products, proactiv, and murad, and none worked. Seeing my dermatologist was the best decision I've made.

Pros:

It works really fast, and i don't have to use it a much as prescribed.

Cons:

It does dry my skin out a bit but oly if I use it twice a day everyday out of the week. I usually use it once a day and maybe every other day depending on how my face is looking.

This stuff works, i used proactiv first and it was ok but when my doctor prescribed this to me it worked immediately. Makes my skin really clear and the dark spots that blemishes leave behind fades really fast after using it.

Pros:

It's been clearing up my face more than any other acne treatment i've tried. However I am using it in combination with differin topical cream.

Cons:

I havent been able to get a tan because i'm afraid of what the sun exposure might do. It causes a lot of flaking which makes make up hard to apply.

So far it seems to be doing the job my face isn't so red from the acne.I have been clear in certain parts of my face for the past few weeks in a row. I can see its starting to clear up my jawline more. I've been using it for almost a month now and i'm just hoping the results are only going to get better! =) It's really affordable with a health plan too!!

Pros:

In combination with oral antibiotics, and later the regimen, it cleared up my acne almost completely. When I was on oral antibiotics alone, I had no results until I tried Duac.

Cons:

Very expensive, in my opinion, because most medications are subsidised here and acne medication is not. Luckily, one tube can last me like two months.

If you have mild to moderate acne, try a combination of Duac and oral doxycycline 50mg/day. It will clear up your acne within about a month.

Pros:

I used Benzaclin over 1 year ago and just started re-using it this year. I started seeing results within 3 days after using it both times!

Cons:

Dry, itchy, and scaly skin

I luv this medicine! I recommend it to anyone, even though I paid alot out of pocket for it. Worth it!
