Pros:

It does clear up the skin, it may take a little while though. Better than most creams.

Cons:

Dries out your skin, and bleaches everything!!!! Expensive without insurance!

I have had bad acne since I was 12, it hasn't gone away. I started using this when I was about 12-17 and it did wonders. My face started to get worse...because my face built up immunity to the product. I got off of it and have been on other creams and pills. However, looking back at pictures my acne was amazing then! I'm considering getting another prescription for it soon. Im going into college and need something I can COUNT ON!

Pros:

Works pretty well within the first week...iv only been using it for 2 weeks and im already seeing improvments.

Cons:

Just like everyone says...its terrible if you do physical activity cause you sweat and wipe it on your shirt...then theres a huge bleach stain on your shirt after you wash it. it nakes your face so dry that its hard to smile lol kinda funny,

Probably good for people with not alot of acne...but i have those huge bumps and stuff...so im probably gonna need oral meds or something else....it works WAY BETTER THAN PROACTIVE...PROACTIVE IS A SCAM>>>DONT BUY IT!!!!!!!

Pros:

I had this horribly nasty cyst that was HUGE and this stuff completely flattened it out within a few days.

Cons:

Bleaches out clothing, horrible dryness and flaking, stops working over time.

This stuff saved my life, but I've been forced to stop using it because it has bleached out everything. It worked extremely well but stopped working after about a month. There was dryness, but honestly, I could live with all of these things as long as it continued to work and didn't bleach out my bedding. I would still be using it if it didn't bleach out everything in my room. It's definitely worth a try, I just recommend not using it all the time, just as a spot treatment

Pros:

It definitely will clear up your acne.
It works great!

Cons:

It can dry up skin at times.
And it does not react very well with some of my moisturizers, it kinda stings/burns.

It will work eventually. I had stopped using Duac because I wanted to try new things, I guess you could say I kinda got bored with it. But recently NOTHING has been working. And I have been breaking out like crazy! I started thinking about how I like NEVER broke out when I was using duac, so I got more. I've been using it for about 2 or 3 days now. Last time I had it, I didn't have the SFC Lotion. I'm still kinda confused about how to use it, but the duac gel is great! =(

Stick with it, your skin will eventually clear up.

Pros:

Showed significant results after two weeks. I still breakout, but I am sticking with it hoping that it will get better over time.

Cons:

Drys my skin.

It took a month to get a dermatologist appointment so using the duac gel was a quick fix until I got to see the doctor again. It definitely controls the acne, but does it really prevent it? I am considering accutane if I don't get the results that I want.

Pros:

Works for me!

Cons:

Takes time.

Like the doctor will likely say, this takes time to work. I've been on practically every treatment but roaccutane, then I found this, and I've been *spotless* 99% of the time since. It's not infallible. I still get the occasional blemish, but I apply extra Duac throughout the day and it clears quickly. I've not noticed any bleaching, either. But I have bleached hair anyway, so I suppose I wouldn't! One tip for users... I keep mine refridgerated at all times.. it seems to work best straight out of the fridge. My acne was very inconsistent before I used this product, which was the main problem, it still is inconsistent in that my skin condition changes day to day, and spots seem to come from nowhere, but they go pretty quick, and I don't put this inconsistency down to the product but to my skin type. It took a few weeks to work. But for anyone at the end of their tether, not yet wanting to take the roaccutane plunge like I wasn't, this is very much worth a try!

Pros:

i cant think of any so far

Cons:

it is drying and expensive and has made acne worse

ive been using duac for 6 weeks and expected to see some difference, but its only getting worse. i went to the derm again last week and she called it a fluke that my face looked like this. she says give it more time, but 6 weeks is a long time. i also just switched to yaz birhtcontrol because she said that will help too. but ive taken 4 different antibiotics for acne and i just dont see how a different bc will help. she just needs to put me on accutane already.

Pros:

Clears up acne fast.

Cons:

Burns burns burns! Especially when in combination with Differin.

I had actually used this before, with E-mycin, for a few weeks at night. Results were immediate and burning was minimal. Then, a month ago, my dermatologist gave it back to me - this time, Duac in the morning, and Differin at night (E-mycin). This time it BURNED! Differin was fine, but caused my skin to be sensitive to the Duac. For this first week I was in near agony. After applyng the Duac, i'd lie on my bed moaning (no joke) waiting for the discomfort to subside. That said, I was determined to see it through. Now I'm glad I did. By the second week, the peeling (which was fairly intense) had subsided entirely. By Week 3, my skin was soft and very clear. Now, in my 4th week, I have no acne except for severe red marks on my right cheek. What I've noticed is that Duac worsens scarring. As a result, I've stopped using it over my entire face. Now I use tea tree oil wash over my entire face, before Jojoba oil, then duac on the spots. Now my red marks are fadin

Pros:

Works quickly and effectively. I have started using it again after stopping for a month and within two days i am clearing up!

Cons:

Uncomfortable to wear as my skin becomes very tight and dry. Doesn't have long-term effects though as i stopped using it for abot two weeks and all my spots came back.

Works quickly and perfect for teenage years when i cant afford laser treatment. as it isn't permanent and my spots cam back i tihnk ill definately try laser treatment when im older. i also take minox 50mg tablets once a day and when im using both i am almost completely clear...although i now have to be careful of the sun as both products make you burn easily.
