Pros:

it seems to help make thos really big pimples less noticable..but doesn't completely get rid of anything that i can tell.

Cons:

my acne has actually gotten worse sense using it..not sure if it's related to the Duac though.

it helped a little at first, but I plan to try something different.

Pros:

working quite well and keeps new breakouts at bay. Also didn't have to pay a penny, get it free on NHS!

Cons:

Extremly dry, tight, itchy soar skin, looks very dry and cannot wear make up at all. Also look very red.

good product, have been usng it for 5 days now, skin has cleared slightly but very red. will continue to use and hope the dryness stops as it is unbearably dry and irritating me!

Pros:

Works wonders for mild-moderate acne. Cleared my face up entirely in a few weeks. After a couple months you can cut application down to once a day and your acne will stay gone.

Cons:

None. Use a moisturizer with it and you are fine. Absolutely NO other problems with this product.

Go to the doctor and TELL, dont ask, TELL them to write you a script for Benzaclin. =)

Pros:

Works within days

Cons:

The possible side effects, but I haven't had them.

I love it, I've been using it for almost two weeks and the results in my opion somewhat dramatic. I suffered from acne for years and this stuff is really helping at clearing it up. My doc has me using this along with an antibiotic twice a day and so far the results are miraculous. I'm using the antibiotic to help kill the bacteria from the inside out (my doc's recommendation), and I wash with the neutrogena acne cleansing bar twice a day before applying the benzaclin. If you have acne you should definitely give this a try. Honest Results/Recommendation, Tee

Pros:

Fast acting

Cons:

Dry itchy skin

I have used this for 1 week, let me tell you my severe acne has dried up, the new ones coming up are dead, yes dead the next day. I recommend getting Microdermabrassion while on this medication. It tones and reduces the appearance of the red or brown post acne marks. I had my first one last week and going back every two weeks for a 2 month period. Good Luck.

Pros:

It works like a charm!

Cons:

If you miss a dose, you may break out.

I tried Proactive and Differin. Both didn't work!! Benzaclin worked extremely well...however, one month ago my doctor had me switch to Differin. My face is breaking out like crazy without Benzaclin. I'm going to call him tomorrow to switch back to Benzaclin.

Pros:

It started to clear my skin up quite a bit within 3 weeks and slowed down oil production initially. Brought a lot of spots to the surface.

Cons:

It made my skin look worse before it got any better. But it seemed to stop working after about the seventh week, i've not seen any improvement since then.

Decent product but maybe my acne needs something a bit stronger to shift it.

Pros:

Worked like a charm!

Cons:

A little expensive without insurance, but it's not too expensive for me. And also may dry your skin TOO much if it is sensitive or not oily at all in the first place.

I started using benzaclin about 2 1/2 years ago. It did dry up my skin a little, and it was especially bad because I'm a swimmer and the chlorine takes its toll too, and also during the winter when it's especially dry, sweating, like from running may burn your skin a little. It has been nice not to have any oil on my skin at all though. And i noticed immediate improvements with my acne. I had moderate acne, but I wanted flawless skin, of course, and with the exeption of a few blemishes around my period. Beware though because a friend of mine tried my benzaclin once and broke out in this weird rash and had small, non-zit bumps all over her face. It lasted about a week too. So my recommendation is talk to your doctor and go for it, especially if you're looking to get dryer, less oily skin. Oh, but don't put your clothes on immediatly after putting on benzaclin, it WILL bleach clothes, oh and your carpet, don't spill it on your carpet.
