Pros:

None

Cons:

Dried out skin and made acne worse.

Started watching my diet, drinking ACV, taking vitamins including B5, and switched to Differin. Acne is now a lot better.

Pros:

After a few weeks of use, it gives you great facial skin to flaunt. It definitely keeps acne away.

Cons:

Your skin might feel dry, tight, itchy after it is applied. It usually doesn't last for more than a few minutes. Moisturizer usually helps.

Benzaclin is the only acne medication that has worked for my skin. I recommend to everyone and anyone that has had problems dealing with acne. It usually takes more than a few weeks for your acne to clear up, but it's well worth the wait. Once it's gone your skin is back to normal. I used it all throughout high school and I've never had clearer skin. It works great!

Pros:

Effective and more convenient than its competitors

Cons:

Price

Expensive but very effective when used as part of a clear skin regimen (washing face, moisturizing, etc 2x a day w/ recommended products).

Pros:

Duac worked fast and did not make my face irritated.

Cons:

I used Benzaclin in a pump not good. The pump was hard to work with different amounts and got all over - messy. My Mom threw it away and took me back to our dermatologist.

I'm sticking with Duac ad seeing my face clear up.

Pros:

within a few days will get a much clearer complexion,as it unblocks pores.

Cons:

face may go red.if used more than necessary amount skin peels and burns.

Less is more when applying this product,i know all of us are keen to get rid of those nasties which have an awful habit of cropping up just before a date-but please resist the tendency to slap this product on or else you'll live to regret it the next day!

Pros:

It works quickly and effectively

Cons:

It dries out the skin and if you put more than what you need it can even burn your skin as its got benzoyl peroxide. So be careful.

Its a very good product, better than most of the acne medicines that are available over the counter e.g. Freederm...(waste of money and time) No matter how oily your face is, you need to moisturise it after 15-20 mins of applying DUAC as it switches off your natural moisturiser tap (stops sebacious glands from producing oil)hence drying ur face. so put some cream on to stop it from drying and geeting wrinkly.

Pros:

seems to have cleared my acne quickly

Cons:

My whole face has come out in a bizarre rash, like tiny tiny bumps all over my face, skin feels weird, coarse and warm to the touch, slighly itchy =(

My chin has been prone to acne for years, so my doctor but me on Lymecycline oral tablets and gave me Duac gel. I first applied the gel over my whole face, as my whole face gets very oily and wanted to dry it out abit. BIG MISTAKE, the next day my skin was red and look very strange under a certain light, i looked closer and could see tons of tiny raised bumps all over my face!!! My skin was also abit itchy. I read in the leaflet redness and itching is normal, so i decided just to use the gel on my chin where i get the acne. Altough my chin is red, its free from acne spots... but i am now very self conscious of these tiny bumps on my face. I first applied the gel on sunday, its now tuesday. I am goin to discontinue the treatment until my skin returns to normal. I think this prodcut is very strong and not good for mild acne. I paid around £7.00. I think i'll go back to my doctore and ask for something less strong. Can anyone tell me if they've experience the same tiny rash like b

Pros:

NONE!

Cons:

Waste of $, skin gets red and flaky, acne gets worse, more embarassment!

On a scale of 1-10 (1 being perfect skin), I was at about a 4-5 last year when I was perscribed benzaclin. Now, a year later, I'm at about a 7. Benzaclin just made me more embarassed to go out and leave the house. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT RECCOMENDED UNLESS YOU HAVE FAIRLY MILD ACNE. MY FRIEND USED IT FOR HER MILD ACNE AND IT WORKED. DOES NOT WORK ON MODERATE-SEVERE ACNE THOUGH.

Pros:

works well to stop acne forming, and clear existing spots

Cons:

doesnt work so well in clearing up the red marks and scars left behind

i got bad acne at 15 and had it bad till i was 17ish. i went on the pill and it cleared up completely after a few months. this summer i decided to risk going of the pill as it wasnt great for my body (big mistake) within weeks it had all flared up again. the doc perscribed duac and since ive been using it i have had no other spots forming, and the existing raised spots calmed down and have not flared up again. it took a few weeks to get there, but now my face is smooth and not raised like it used to.the only problem is the red marks im left with not pleasnt. advice for girls, invest in a really good cleanser, i know it maybe expensive and more than the acne treatment itself but a clean face with makeup complelty removed helps the process more quickly. i use an estee lauder one myself and it takes all m makeup of perfectly. remember it takes time, eventually it will go so be pateint

Pros:

Works fast, got rid of every bump on my skin.

Cons:

My skin adjusted to it and developed comedones and blackheads. Very drying and gave me some fine lines.

Worked great and my skin no longer gets cysts. I had to switch to Alpha Hydrox. A miracle. God rid of my comedones in just a few days. If you have inflamed cysts or stubborn acne, try it.
