Pros:

Works well and got rid of my mild/moderate acne.

Cons:

Didn't completely get everything gone. I still had the occasional break out which kind of sucked. It didn't get rid of the acne any faster than normal otc products either.

It works, but it isn't a permanent or total solution. My skin cleared up but it wasn't incredibly fast or totally clear. My forehead and chin would still break out, but that might have been from where my lacrosse helmet was touching my face. After a few years the effects wore off and I started to break out again.

Pros:

I have been fighting acne for 2 years and this is the first product that completely cleared my face up. From time to time I will get one or two zits--- nothing compared to what it used to be.

Cons:

Dries out skin.. I've found that if you use oil free moisture (esp. neutrogena) and benzaclin it balances out the dryness and oil.

I recommend this product to anyone who has been fighting acne for a long time... this is the answer. One day, smaller zits. By one week- smoother skin and smaller pores.

Pros:

Clears up my skin really fast and prevents any new breakouts from occurring!! Amazing product.. put it on and the next day your pimples are noticeably smaller/gone! Amazing.

Cons:

Makes your skin EXTREMELY dry.. I use this in the AM and Retin-A Micro in the PM and my skin is super dry.. sometimes to the point of peeling. Find a mousturizer that works for your skin and you should be fine.

This product WORKS. It might dry up your skin, but if you want your pimples gone.. this will work for you. Just make sure you use a moisturizer with it and you will be super happy!! It's pretty expensive if you don't have insurance.. but with insurance, it only costs me $15 for a small container.. but it lasts for a LONG time (until it expires every 3 months).

Pros:

Easy to apply
Doesn't burn or sting

Cons:

Cold when applied because it has to be stored in the fridge.
Has to be used withing two months after opening
Doesn't help hormonal acne

I suffered from acne since the age of 11. I have used Duac during my pregnancy when my hormonal acne got out of control. It helped clear up some of my acne around the jawline. I have used it for about 4 months and didn't really see the results I was hoping for. Maybe its not made for moderate to severe cases of acne.

Pros:

Gets rid of oil

Cons:

makes face feel waxy, bleaches clothes, can make you break out

If your at the dermatologists level go ahead and get accutane

Pros:

Clears my Acne in just a few hours of using it. I can already see that it has reduced my redness and swelling.

Cons:

As everyone put it does leave skin dry but that happens with every type of medication.

It works, and with me using minocycline I can see my skin healing and getting better as im writing. Also with tricare I get an awesome price.

Pros:

It actually helps clear my skin. Although i did go through a small initial breakout, overall it does wonders. My skin usually gets dry with benzoyl peroxide alone but with clindamycin it seems to make it not as dry and oily in some areas.

Cons:

i guess the only con i would have with it is that the tube is kinda small and i have to back to the doc to get a refill, but that's not really the duac's fault

Try it if you have mild-moderate acne, it might work. and if clindamycin doesn't work that well by itself, then you have to try this because i think that the clindamycin and benzyol peroxide actually work better together than with just clindamycin by itself. plus the gel is so much easier to apply on and it goes on smoothly. i got it free with my insurance.

Pros:

It didn't make my blemishes worse (although it didn't help my situation either)

Cons:

My face and eyes swelled, were itchy & reddened

I used it for about 2 weeks, every other day, but couldn't do it anymore after it irritated my sensitive skin & made it itch like crazy, even while using a moisturizer. I recently started using Sulfacetamide Sodium (Klaron) which has been great so far; no irritation or redness, and I don't even have to use a moisturizer, which is unbelievable for my skin. It was a little pricey considering I didn't get to use it much. I think I'm just hyper-sensitive to Benzoyl Peroxide, so beware if you are too!

Pros:

No side effects for me.

Cons:

Made my face worse even after a good period of time.

When I started using this product, for the first few days my face looked got worse and looked horrible. I kept using it because my dermatoligist told me that this is normal. After about two weeks my acne got a litte better. After a month and a half of use, there had been no progress at all. My acne was worse than when I started, so i stopped using it. It has only been two days and I have noticed a difference. This item just did not work for me.

Pros:

None. I went to the dermatologist to get something that help an occasional pimple now and then and now my face looks horrible. I have pimples all over my face. My face has never looked like this.

Cons:

I have oily skin so I thought the drying was great but after a few weeks of use my face has a zillion pimples

Not for occasional breakouts
