Pros:

Very relaxing. Really clears skin! In the beginning, it might make your face dry but when your face gets used to it, your face is always soft!

Cons:

The device is really big. You have to sit for 15 minutes but it is good for relaxation and mental health. Won't do anything for clogged pores or blackheads.

So, it really does clear your skin. It takes awhile though. The first couple of days I was really clear and my skin felt a little dry. At the end of the first week, I broke out. After a couple of weeks, I am usually clear unless I forget to do it a couple of days in a row. You definitely have to turn your face if you get acne on your cheeks, which I do. The light won't get to the sides of your face unless you turn from side to side. Your face becomes really soft. The device is kind of big so I don't know how I am going to travel with it. For me, the light makes it so any zits I get kind of skip a step. They will show up and the next day they will be healing, as if I had popped it. I sort of miss picking at my zits...an oddly fulfilling bad habit. But it is really good, especially for people that scar. Unfortunately, the light doesn't do anything for preexisting scar or dark marks. But it will prevent new ones! I would suggest washing face with Basis wash beforehand.

Pros:

It works. I don't have any problem sitting in front of it - I zone out with my ipod and a couple tunes later i'm done!

Cons:

When I first received it one of the bulbs was cracked - but I called customer service and they sent me a new bulb, no charge.

I like it. It's painless, it works and doesn't take much time. I'd recommend to anyone. My acne is moderate with occasional flare-ups. This lamp does a good job of keeping my face clear. I also wash my face a few times a day.

Pros:

Among one of the best acne products I've used in the past 16 years. Does not, by itself, cause dryness.

Cons:

The 15-minute sit (just veg' out to some music - it goes by quickly). Generally not recommended for cystic acne, but read on...

Wasn't expecting much since it says it's not for cystic acne (which I have a mild case of). But I've used everything over the years, and this was something I hadn't tried. Bought the product direct from the mfg, as it was the same price as common retailers, and I wasn't sure if you'd get the mfg's 12-week money-back guarantee if you purchased it through a retailer. Within days, I was noticing a difference. When I started, I had several large cysts that were very painful. Within days, they started to reduce in size, and disappeared MUCH more quickly than they usually would have. This light *definitely* reduces swelling (which the literature states it does). Also, as gross as this is: if I feel the need to "pop", the pimples don't seem as "filled" as they were before. I do still get new pimples (never as often or large as before) but I think it's because I am not being diligent enough about using it x2/day, every day. With a 12-week guarantee, I recommend givin

Pros:

This is a truly amazing piece of equipment. I've only used it for 5 days and already I am noticing a major reduction in redness and my acne is beginning to fade.

Cons:

Expensive if it doesn't work for you.

Obviously, mixed reviews as to its ability to work with different people (I think they claim it works on 75% of people) Thankfully, I fall into that majority. It is definitely worth a shot and if it doesn't work, these are pretty sought after items on ebay.

Pros:

cleared up my skin within a few days of use. quiet! easy to use. at first I didn't feel like it was doing anything, after all it's just a light! But by the 3rd day I could see and feel a huge difference.

Cons:

nothing! this thing is awesome

This product is amazing. I've had acne for the past 7 years. The only times my skin has ever been clear was when I traveled to Hawaii for a week and was in the sun everyday -- it broke out again a couple weeks after I got back. And another time when I had surgery and was on an anti-biotic. After I finished the medicine it broke out about a week later. I also just started the regimen and my face has never looked better. I think the combo of the two is the FINAL solution!!! :-):-) Couldn't be happier.

Pros:

It cleared my skin up very quickly. Within a few days of using this product my exicsting breakouts were almost ompletely dried out.
Not really any side affects.

Cons:

can make e skin a little dry, but a some mosturizer does the trick. (Skin is also dry because of cold weather.)

I am really happy with this product. I have mild/moderate acne and occassionally flare. I recently had an allergic reaction to a mosturizer I used after having a mild peel. I had small bumps arund my mouth and other areas that I used the lotion. The dermatologist prescribed me a hydrocortisone, but I didn't want to go that route. Within one day of using this product (15 mins a day) the rash really began to clear up. I would reccomend this product to anyone it's definately worth a try.

Pros:

None

Cons:

This product is a scam. It doesn't have any effect on your acne. The manufacturer was recently cited by the government for inaccurate product labeling and promotion - and has had to recall the product.

Steer clear of this train wreck.

Making false claims may sell products, but it doesn't help your skin.

Pros:

money back guaratee

Cons:

didn't work for me

I was excited to try it after reading all the positive reviews. I used it faithfully for 7 weeks, most times longer than 15 min. It just didn't make a difference at all. If it works for you it is definitely affordable. I'm 42 and have tried everything short of acutane so this was worth a shot.

Pros:

Feel like you are actively doing something to fix your acne problem.

Cons:

No changes in my skin yet, which is aggravating since it takes a lot of patience to sit in front of it every day!

So far, my results have been very different from the results on this site. Lately I have been breaking out more (MAYBE due to the light? Maybe due to weather? I haven't figured this out yet)--but the light isn't hurting my skin so I'm going to finish the 8-12 weeks. I definitely do not notice any decreased redness, or that it is drying up zits any quicker. My skin is usually better in the summer, so I have very high hoped for this product. I just felt I should post to let people know that not EVERYONE clears up within the first few weeks. Hopefully it just takes a little time.

Pros:

visibly reduces acne about 80% if you are consistent.

Cons:

You can't miss a day or else acne will flare up a bit.

I have switched on and off antibiotics and bcp since I was 12. bcp worked for me the best but its not very healthy. Neither are antibiotics but the light has helped me reduce my tetracycline use to 1 pill instead of two. The light helps with prevention and healing of acne.I definitely saw a difference.
