Pros:

Very relaxing. Really clears skin! In the beginning, it might make your face dry but when your face gets used to it, your face is always soft!

Cons:

The device is really big. You have to sit for 15 minutes but it is good for relaxation and mental health. Won't do anything for clogged pores or blackheads.

So, it really does clear your skin. It takes awhile though. The first couple of days I was really clear and my skin felt a little dry. At the end of the first week, I broke out. After a couple of weeks, I am usually clear unless I forget to do it a couple of days in a row. You definitely have to turn your face if you get acne on your cheeks, which I do. The light won't get to the sides of your face unless you turn from side to side. Your face becomes really soft. The device is kind of big so I don't know how I am going to travel with it. For me, the light makes it so any zits I get kind of skip a step. They will show up and the next day they will be healing, as if I had popped it. I sort of miss picking at my zits...an oddly fulfilling bad habit. But it is really good, especially for people that scar. Unfortunately, the light doesn't do anything for preexisting scar or dark marks. But it will prevent new ones! I would suggest washing face with Basis wash beforehand.

Pros:

Works at least as well on surface acne as Dan's regiman, and is less harsh to the skin. In the long run the total cost of ownership of this vs. soaps, lotions, treatments, etc. will be much less.

Cons:

Does not prevent deep cystic acne. Does not cover sides of your face very well. You may need more than 15 minutes daily in order to cover your whole face. No way to travel with this thing as it's about 14" x 20" x 4". Goggles are uncomfortable.

If you have much clearer skin in the summer than at any time of year, because you are out in the sun a lot, this is for you.

Pros:

It cleared my skin up very quickly. Within a few days of using this product my exicsting breakouts were almost ompletely dried out.
Not really any side affects.

Cons:

can make e skin a little dry, but a some mosturizer does the trick. (Skin is also dry because of cold weather.)

I am really happy with this product. I have mild/moderate acne and occassionally flare. I recently had an allergic reaction to a mosturizer I used after having a mild peel. I had small bumps arund my mouth and other areas that I used the lotion. The dermatologist prescribed me a hydrocortisone, but I didn't want to go that route. Within one day of using this product (15 mins a day) the rash really began to clear up. I would reccomend this product to anyone it's definately worth a try.

Pros:

Painless! not too expensive. good for all over health

Cons:

the time to sit in front of the lamp is both a pro & a con.

This lamp has helped clear up my acne & some 'laugh lines'. At first it was kind of a pain to sit in front of the lamp for 15 minutes, but it's well worth it. Now I meditate while I medicate- so I'm helping myself inside & out.
