Pros:

Moisturizes well without leaving skin oily or shinny. Evens out skin tone very nicely. Smells nice.

Cons:

Expensive, can be too harsh at times. No SPF.

I've been dealing with mild to moderate acne for about 11 years now. Thanks to my dermatologist I get very few breakouts, so my acne is definitely well controlled. The one area where I've struggled is finding a good moisturizer. Most either don't provide enough moisture or leave me with a greasy feel and a shinny face. Also, this is wonderful in evening out skin tone. Although I'm not getting nearly as many pimples these days, the ones I do get tend to leave a mark. This helps to reduce the appearace of those friendly little reminders. That's one of the key benefits of this product - actually makes my skin appear to be healthy, not just pimple free. That's a huge and important difference. Sometimes the fact that this moisturizer is medicated is a problem as I have days when my skin is extra sensitive. For me, using topical rxs makes this product a less agreeable on certain days. But otherwise no complaints! They could lower the price though, jeez.

Pros:

-Helps with acne
-moisturizes
-salicylic acid!
-nice scent
-spreads onto skin nicely
-makes skin look very smooth.

Cons:

-doesn't really do much for hyperpigmentation
-moderately expensive.

I live in the Ukrainian capital city, Kyiv, which although beautiful, does not provide as many options for Acne treatments as they do in the United States. My sister brought me this product (along with the foaming wash, because I was sick of my olay wash that i bought here) when she visited me because I always complained that i needed a good moisturizer. This product doesn't do much for hyperpigmentation which is a bit unfortunate, but it does help diminish acne. It's a perfect match with the foaming wash, the smell is light and clean smelling, and it is easily smoothed onto my skin. My skin looks smoother, but the discoloration still looms around. I guess you can say it's expensive, but it could be much worse, and they do give you alot per bottle, so at least it has good value. It's a good product that i believe many people would benefit from! :) (PS: I gave it a 4 star rating, but I would REALLY, if i could, give it a 3.5, still, worth a shot, definitely!!)

Pros:

- works but very slowly
- gentle
- leaves skin soft and feeling smooth
- unclogs pores

Cons:

- a bit pricey
- no spf
- maybe the smell for some people

I'd gotten rid of my acne using bp for about 1 and a half years. It used to be moderate/severe, and I was so happy I was finally clear. But starting January, I started to break out again. Not just a few pimples but a massive breakout on my T-zone, jawline and around the mouth. I didn't know what caused this to happen, but I figured out it was because pores were clogged from using vitamin E oil on my face. I've stopped using the oil for about 3 weeks now. (Yeah it took me a long time to figure out it was the oil). I didn't want to use bp because I didn't want to go through the harsh process of stinging, the drying and the flaking again. So since my acne is back on b/c of clogged pores, I figured something with salicylic acid would be good since it unclogs pores. I only use it when I'm at home since it doesn't have spf. I use Aveeno's positively radiating moisturizer when I'm out. I really like this product. It's working pretty good. It doesn't give you immediate results like benzoyl peroxide, but I can see that its slowly working. Combined with facial steaming every other day, and weekly exfoliation, it's slowly improving my skin. When I first used it, the pimples underneath my skin finally came out! And it didn't that long to heal. I've only used it for a week, but I have a feeling it's gonna work slowly but surely. I would definitely recommend it :)

Pros:

Doesn't clog pores
It's a good complement to the regimen(think about it, two of the best acne fighters working together?). It gives it a little extra umph.

Cons:

Tiny bottle
Pricy

This will terribly dry your skin!!! Especially in winter. Don't abandon your acne.org moisturizer or whatever default moisturizer you had for this one. Let me explain how I use it. Pay attention, because this could be your key to clear skin: I do the Regimen twice a day like always, but if I just had a breakout or I feel like one's coming, I use this right AFTER the BP application (I'll also do it occasionally to help fight the war on old brown spots and scarring). HOWEVER, despite this stuff being a moisturizer, it will tear your skin up somethin' fierce! Use your regular amount of moisturizer, but send in the troops on what would be extremely dry, cracking skin. By this I mean, grab jojoba oil and AHA+ for it. You will need it!! I guess you could say this is my unofficial 4th step to the regimen. SHHH! Don't tell Dan!

Pros:

At first you will realize your skin becomes "worse" but after a week it clears up
Hydrates
Soaks in quickly

Cons:

None so far

When I first started using it I was breaking out! So I stopped and then remembered the quote "it gets worse before it gets better" the salycilic acid brings all your impurties out! So keep using it! I am a huge acne struggler and it makes your skin smooth and shine free!

Pros:

Creamy
Leaves my skin hydrated
Evens out skin tone
Smells nice
Good price

Cons:

None so far

With other products I've used, my skin might clear up temporarily but the acne always comes back worse than before. More than that, the harsh chemicals leave my sensitive skin looking like it's been sunburned. With Aveeno my skin has begun to clear slowly and naturally with no redness or irritation. I don't care if it takes a longer time to see results, not looking like a lobster is well worth it.

Pros:

Moisturizes great.
Soothing.
Great for sensitive skin.

Cons:

Hasn't really cleared up any acne.

I have really sensitive skin and this moisturizer is definitely gentle; hasn't broke me out. Also, I had ridiculous nasty red skin after using a harsh cleanser and this calmed all of the irritation and dryness.

Pros:

+ Start seeing results immediately!
+ Evens out skin tone and makes it brighter.
+ Non-greasy, non-oil, non-comedogenic!
+ Keeps your face smooth.

Cons:

- Burns a bit after benzoyl peroxide treatment, but that is normal because I just started.
- No jojoba oil.
- Small bottle.

I've been on the regimen for about 3 days now and I have been using CVS gentle-purpose cleanser, neutrogena on-the-spot 2.5% BP treatment cream, and this product, and I have to say they are a good combination. I feel more confident, like seeing the results, and I cannot wait until I have clear skin! I would definitely recommend this product. It contains 0.5% salicylic acid to further protect against breakouts. It was worth the $$.
