Not a miracle, but makes your sling bright and smooth
I really like my Mia 2 clarisonic. I haven't really noticed a difference with my cystic acne but it totally gets rid of my blackheads and leaves my skin flake free! I think it's worth it!

I have the same problem. My tip you can try is to put honey over your cystic acne. It works very well for me, I hope it works for you. oh and drink lots of water :)

I just wanted to say i had major issues w cystic acne the last two years (its leveling out now) but after tons of reading and evaluating my life, stress got the best if me. It recked havic on my face, my skin is now very different, even looser like it stripped collogen. I also lost a ton of hair, and was overwhelmed and upset too easily. Not sure if this resonates w u...Anyhow, what has helped me more than anything has been reading Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth, to get my mind straight, meditating to find my center, drinking lots of herbal tea, and finding out abt and heavily researching Candida. If u notice any white on your tongue, then probably the stress nocked your hormones off, because of too much cortisol in your system, and now you have to work towards purging the toxins. It will get better...but u have to actively remove stress from your life to begin w. Whatever u do...be VERY careful abt messing w cystic acne...it will leave a mark. I wish u the best!

Pros:

* Cleans and exfoliates the skin
* Fun to use
* One charge lasts a long time
* User and travel friendly (Mia and Mia 2)
* Handle can work with any brush head
* Skincare products absorb into skin better
* Works well with the acne.org regimen if your skin is clear or almost clear
* Can buy online or at stores such as Sephora or Nordstrom

Cons:

* May experience initial breakout purging
* Price
* Might be too abrasive on sensitive skin
* Have to change brush head every 3 to 4 months

I like to keep my reviews short and to the point, but I just have so many great things to say about the Clarisonic brush! I'm currently on the acne.org regimen and absolutely love it, but unfortunately benzoyl peroxide leaves my skin dry and flaky, even when I use glycolic acid to exfoliate. I know Dan (acne.org inventor) says manual exfoliating can be irritating, and I do agree; however, it can be effective at taking away all of the flaky skin if done correctly. Everyone's skin is different, so I recommend starting out using this once a day or once every other day for a few weeks and work your way up to twice a day if needed. I use the Mia 2 with the deep pore cleansing brush head twice a day with my acne.org regimen and LOVE the results. Dryness and flakes are GONE! I never experienced an initial breakout. I would suggest using this if you have mild acne. The Clarisonic might be too abrasive for moderate to severe cases of acne. The Mia models are smaller and more travel friendly, and includes a travel case. I've also owned the Classic Clarisonic handle and it was more bulky than the Mia. But they all work pretty much the same. I prefer and now own the Mia 2. And the brush head can make a huge difference. A lot of people actually prefer the deep pore brush than the sensitive brush. Also, don't use any other new skincare products while first starting to use this so you know exactly what is breaking you out if you experience any reactions. One variable at a time is extremely important. Good luck and remember to start slowly!

Pros:

skin felt like it was clean

Cons:

Broke out like crazy
acne appears worse, more cystic/painful as well as blackheads & clogged pores in general.

I didn't balk at the price since I was so hoping that this would solve my adult acne issues. Unfortunately, after 2 months my skin was worse than it's ever been. I've spent probably $1000 on creams, serums, clarisonic, etc since Jan 2010 to only see it worse than I've ever had. Not sure which way to go now...have stopped using the clarisonic a few weeks ago and still have breakouts. Very frustrated! I wish this had worked for me. My acne is the worst it's ever been in my life. Feel like not sure which way to go now

Excellent investment for your skin!
I purchased my Clarisonic Plus back in June 2010. Almost 5 years later, it's still going strong, and I can't imagine not having it in my skin care regimen! I purchased the Plus because it also comes with a body brush (which I hardly use, but I figured it's good to have in case I'd want to use it sometimes). There are different brush heads for the face. I've found that Normal is too harsh, but Sensitive is good. I've also used Deep Pore and Acne, and they both work fine. Granted, for the past few years, I've stopped buying the Clarisonic brand heads and purchased generic ones from eBay for a rather low price, but they have done the job for me. I have used the Clarisonic with various cleansers. It's best to use it with something that is not too strong. Currently, I have been using it with Simple gel cleanser. It takes 60 seconds total to use all over the face: 20 seconds each on the forehead and nose/chin area, and 10 seconds on each cheek. There are three settings: low, medium, and high. I prefer the medium setting for everyday use, since I wear face makeup daily. Sometimes I'll skip using the Clarisonic for a day or two if I haven't worn any makeup, but in that time, I find that my skin feels much less smooth, and I see a lot more sebaceous filaments on my nose. I would definitely recommending NOT storing this in the shower. I used to, and one day I changed the brush head and found that there was an abundance of black mold underneath! It was quite a process cleaning it out. I tried using different tools (cotton swab, old mascara spoolie) and cleaners (rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide) to get rid of the mold, but I finally got it clean inside. Now I always store my Clarisonic outside of my shower, wipe both the brush head and the cap clean after each use, and remove the brush head while the device is not in use. I'm really not sure if the Clarisonic has really helped with my acne as far as existing pimples, but the gentle daily exfoliation I'm sure is a great factor in preventing it. Also, if you get the Plus, like I said, it comes with a body brush in addition to the face brush. In fact, I just checked the website right now and apparently they now sell two attachments for the feet as well, making the Clarisonic Plus an even better deal!

Pros:

Shrinks pores and clears up skin
Results can be seen within first week
Reduces redness and blackheads (very, very effectively)

Cons:

Not within everyone's price range
Cleansers and moisturizer that come with the brush are awful
Those expecting a miracle may be disappointed

Overall, the Clarisonic Skin Brush is a highly recommended product. Yes, at 200 dollars it sure isn't cheap, but the results are well worth it. Within about a week of using the brush, I noticed an immediate change. My face was no longer red and blotchy, and I was seeing improvements in my acne as well. The brush is especially effective in removing blackheads, as after a few weeks of use, I have very few noticeable blackheads. I have remaining acne scars, although they are less red and therefore not nearly as noticeable and easier to hide with makeup. Don't bother with the cleansers and moisturizer samples that are included with the package, they aren't worth it.

Pros:

Cleans face incredibly well, great for removing makeup, allows any topicals (creams, lotions, anti-biotics) to absorb more deeply.

Cons:

Don't press too hard on your face, it will irritate your skin. (The instructions are very clear not to, but I guess some people ignore that.) Honestly, I don't think the price is a con. It is such a quality product.

I love it. My skin feels smooth and soft, it's definitely more consistent. My breakouts disappeared (almost) completely within about 2 weeks. The only thing I am left to deal with are tiny blemishes (probably from my need for makeup) and scarring. This has made a huge difference for me.

Pros:

-Great for fading Acne Marks
-Feels great so you will remember to use it
-Smooths skin
-In my case severity of outbreaks was reduced

Cons:

-Cost, just get the Mia, the body attachment isn't worth it, you will rarely use it.
-Your skin has to withstand a lot of exfoliation.
- Not for delicate or sensitive skin!!

Before you splurge $150 or more on this product first find out how your skin deals with light exfoliation. A simple scrub of caster sugar and water should tell you how. Take a small bowl of sugar into the shower, rub it gently in circles on wet skin and then rinse off. Do it for a few days and if it makes your skin flare up then don't bother this product, it isn't for you. My skin deals extremely well with a lot of exfoliation, so using this twice a day is fine for me. I've had acne for over ten years now so I had a lot of scaring to fade, the clarisonic is excellent for this. I still get break-outs but they are reduced and they do fade quicker. This is by no means a cure-all but it does have excellent benefits for people whose skin can take it.

Pros:

- SUPER clean face!
- Brighter, more even skin tone.
- Gently removes dry skin.
- Doesn't make acne worse, helps with scarring.

Cons:

- Expensive (+ need to replace brush heads regularly which aren't exactly cheap).
- If you use it twice a day can cause redness and soreness.

I finally bought this with my Christmas money and I really don't regret it, my face has never been so clean or bright. I have really oily skin, huge pores, a lot of redness, and the Mia has really helped. It hasn't stopped my acne (hormonal) but then it never promised too, but the spots clear up much faster. It has also visibly cleared my pores and freshened me up. I have also been using Differin cream for ages which usually leaves a lot of dryness, and the Mia really helps buff away all the dry skin. I would really recommend it, but obviously it is hugely expensive. Also a word of warning - start slowly, maybe using it once every two days, and gradually build up. I learned the hard way (bright red, sore face!)

Alright
I have been using this product for about one and a half years now and i have seen no improvement for my acne. However, it helps clear the skin although i recommend using a cleanser with this product so that you do not dry out your face. If you dry out your face your brain thinks it needs to produce more oil so use a moisturizer about once every day even if you have really oily skin. I use Cerave AM but that is kind of expensive but i'm sure other moisturizers would work with this product. Hope this helps:)
