Pros:

a HUGE bottle well worth the price and extremely gentle to use on your skin.

Cons:

doesn't lather so it makes you feel like it might not be working.

i used the one for oily skin and it worked very well. i found that it took a little while to start clearing up my skin but it made my skin feel soft and rejuvenated after each wash. i didn't find it to be drying. if you are switching in between products try a milder variation of this brand. it is well worth the try.

Pros:

Big bottle.

Cons:

Too big for travelling.
Bad smell.
Helps white heads, but infected pimple are worse. My skin looked greasy. It really only looks good after you wash it.

I didn't like it. I've tried everything for my mild acne. It really only helps moderate.

Pros:

- no harmful soaps, drying ingredients, or irritating fragrances
- feels good on skin and cleans well, but doesn't leave it all dry and is very gentle -you can wipe it off with a tissue, and use it anywhere, not just your face
- affordable

Cons:

- smells bad, but it's good for my skin without fragrance that way
- doesn't lather, have to continuously massage into skin

This is the best cleanser, that doesn't make my skin feel dry! It keeps my skin clean and hydrated. The best part is no sodium, fragrance or soap to irritate my skin. I am using the one for oily skin, and it works great with my prescription acne creams. It is cheaper than Cetaphil and works a lot better.

Pros:

The soap fee, perume free combination version is fantastic. My sensitive, slightly greasy skin has always been a problem. It loves this product. I use Panoxyl for any zits, not that I have had any since using this product. A Miracle!

Cons:

none

Fantastic product. My skin is so happy now. I tried every product on the market since I was 20 years old and struggled to keep my face from being irritated or breaking out. This is the absolute best. Gentle, but cleans well and leaves skin soft.

Pros:

I have used this product for 12 years now, and obviously love it. I have had acne problems, but nothing major, so I'm not going to dispute the claims of others on this site, but I feel that it is the most non-irritating cleanser I've ever used.

Cons:

No cons, just wanted to say more positive about this product. My skin looks great and I always get compliments on it. I've referred numerous people to Spectro Jel that have not looked back. I get my family to bring me bottles from Canada.

This product is the bomb! I have not tried all of the variations, but the three that I've used I absolutely cannot do without. To those that complain of skin irritation or increased oiliness...I believe that it is probably from the change-over from your old brand. I think this product (as any) deserves a longer trial, and perhaps used after taking a week off of your regular brand. Reviews on other sites support my claim that Spectro Jel is the most gentle product on the market. The reason it doesn't lather is because it has no sulfates (which are simply added to other products to make them lather and make the user feel like he/she is getting deeper cleansing, when in reality it's worse for you)

Pros:

Cleans skin very well. Non-drying. Very gentle. Fragrance free and soap-free.

Cons:

Doesn't lather. Does not prevent acne on its own.

I have tried a variety of cleansers and nothing has given me consistent results, where I didn't have new breakouts for a stretch of one week. I started using Spectrojel (a friend recommended it) in conjunction with my usual OTC, topical acne medication. The results have been fantastic and immediate. I've been breakout free for two weeks now. I don't think Spectr0jel cures acne on it's own, but as most topical acne medication is drying and damaging, using Spectrojel has helped enormously. I have been washing my face twice a day with Spectrojel and applying samll amounts topical acne med all over my face. This technique is working very well.

Pros:

no fragrance,non-irritating,non-drying, agrees with just about everyone

Cons:

doesn't lather up that's the only thing i can think of

Let me tell you i've used every product on the market to wash my face. and the best thing i could have ever done was buy this product. PEOPLE!! you will notice results guaranteed! *** you must message it into your skin for 30seconds atleast**** and Girls it does remove make-up. unless you wear Theatre make-up. trust me you'll thank yourself for it. if your on acne medication of any kind your already suffering with the side effects . why make it worst by drying out your skin further. please try it!!!!!!!

Pros:

I've used the combination skin Spectro Gel for about a year now and It's great. I never really had bad acne, but the occasional zit. It makes my face more clear and feel clean.

Cons:

It has a weird smell to it and the consistancy is slimey. However, it's worth it. Besides fragrance free is best your face anyways. Finally a gimmic free fash wash that works.

You get a lot of the product (half litre), considering the cost. It doesn't lather up, but it's good not to have all those bad chemicals all over your face. I wear make up, and there is usually left over mascara, but I just wash my face twice if I'm wearing extra make up and it takes it off. Still not a downside though. I should be using eye make up remover anyways.
