Pros:

- doesn't dry out skin
- prevents breakouts
- washes away dirt and makeup

The best everyday gentle skin cleanser out there! I have even used to use cetaphil then switched to this and have been using it for over 2 years. I would not recommend this product for severe acne as it is too gentle. For those who are complaining about blackheads, the only way to remove/prevent them is to get facials and use a SCRUB to exfoliate and prevent oil build-up!

Pros:

works great for small blemishes
gets rid of acne in quick time period
easy to use
not time consuming
cheap

Cons:

does smell a bit
doesb't help blackheads
makes skin red (occasionally)

This does work, however if you want to get rid of blackheads, i suggest something else. in the colder seasons, it tends to irritate my skin. if you have sensitive skin, try the dry skin formula in the colder seasons to aviod redness.

Pros:

It really does work and does not dry out the skin but moisturises! Comes in a big bottle so you can use it for a long time and get your money's worth.

Cons:

The fragrence, maybe but if you want clear skin, you gotta make a sacrifise

Works really well! I have been using this for a while now and it really helped my breakouts. If you wash at night, you will most likely wake up with clearer skin.

Well, it works! Its worth the money, comes it a huge bottel, clear instructions

Pros:

Leaves skin smooth and soft. Doesn't over cleanse. Removers dirt and surface oil. Convenient pump

Cons:

Sometimes still a little shiny.

Really nice cleanser. The smell is weird but not horrible. I only use this in the morning ( I use a scrub with 0.5% Salicylic acid at night). I follow this in the morning with a lotion with 0.5% Salicylic acid and a moisturizer with SPF 30. In combination my skin was no longer dry and irritated and my acne has gone down ( I still have some but the size of my pimple are MUCH smaller). The price is not bad when you buy the large pump size and is very convenient.

Pros:

Very affordable, the best product I have ever used for my face hands down.

Cons:

Doesn't have a pretty bottle, wasn't in the same area as all the commercial face products, and doesn't have an artificial perfume smell (which to me doesn't really sound like cons).

In just two days it even out my skin texture on my face, The pharmacist recommended it to me for chapped skin around my mouth which occurred from switching face wash brands. This product went beyond balancing out my skins pH, it even started clearing up acne and acne scars. It made me realize that good stuff doesn't have to come in pretty packaging to work, because those products are the ones that cause the problems in the first place.

Pros:

Freaking Awesome

Cons:

Doesn't remove make up effectively but I just use a spectro toner pad after and that works

Clears my skin really well Doesn't dry it out Moisturizes JUST GREAT TRY IT

Pros:

Gentle, doen't dry your skin at all
GREAT for sensitive skin
I used the purple labelled one..plus you get a HUGE bottle that lasts for a very long time

Cons:

Didn't really improve my acne substantially, worked a little bit I guess...
Doesn't take off your makeup, especially if you wear a lot of concealer
Doesn't feel like it cleaned deep in my pores, removed oil but didn't leave my face feeling fres

Comparitively speaking, this is one of the better products out there. It has mostly good ingredients, and is very gentle and moisturizing. Give it a try, especially if you haven't found something that works yet... **PS after I stopped using this brand I started breaking out ?? I don't know if that is jsut hormones or chance or maybe it's from stopping using Spectro..I'm thinking of switching back if it doesn't improve soon.

Pros:

Gentle enough, for an acne cleanser.
Makes my skin softer, and feel cleaner longer.

Cons:

Smells interesting for the first 5 seconds, then fades, leave NO smell on the skin.

I've only been using this product for 1 week, so i'm not sure about the results yet. Seems to have helped heal some old breakouts. Cheap and affevtive though, specially at taking off make-up, well worth at least trying.

Pros:

Gentlest, best cleanser I've ever used.
Significantly reduced redness without overdrying.
One 500mL bottle goes a long way: lasted 2 months for me.

Cons:

Couldn't find it in the US.
Buying and shipping from Canada is expensive: $40 for two 500mL bottles.

Given the many products I've tried for acne, I usually don't get the opportunity to write a good review; however, Spectrojel is simply the BEST cleanser I've ever used.... BAR NONE! My skin usually reacts with virtually ANY chemical I put on my face and typically has a red, ruddy appearance. Within a week of using this product, the redness was significantly reduced and I started to see my skin get clearer than it has been in years (used in conjunction with Neutrogena OTS). It also doesn't dry my skin out like most other cleansers. There is some "tightness" right after I use it, but my skin doesn't get flaky. The consistency takes a little geting used to, and it doesn't lather up. In fact, it doesn't seem to be a particularly strong cleanser: perhaps it's just strong enough to get the job done without the irritation. Though it is expensive to ship it in from Canada, I would recommend it to anyone. Why don't they sell this stuff in the States?
