Makes you hairy!
Castor oil is amazing for acne but it causes hair to grow on your face.

There is actually no clinical evidence for this, just anecdotal stories. Most people can use castor oil on skin with no ill effects (unless someone has had a reaction to castor oil in the past).

Sounds more like genetics or an oral/topical medicine side effect.
